Our over-planned, 2nd annual WDW trip – lots of pics - Updated on 6/28

enjoying your report. I know what it is like to be sick at Disney. Last year I have the worst sore throat. It was swallon so bad. I took dayqual and Nightqual. I took a nap at bb. Weird thing is the only thing that made it better was Coke. I drank so much but it dissolved whatever was in my throat.

Your TR today. I know Deer Creek very well. My own King & Queen live at Polo Park right down the road from Deer Creek. You probably passed Polo Park on your way to the parks :thumbsup2 Isn't it great having a place to stay and not have to worry about if you are going to get a reservation:goodvibes

I believe the Mickey Eleteic Poles are either on Black Lake Road or Sherberth Blvd.

Thanks for a great TR

Janet

This is so cool, here I thought I only had one reader. Thank you all my new subscribers. You have me anxious to work on the next installment. I'll see what I can do.

I looked around the room and considered asking another Mom if she happened to have packed an Advil or Tylenol in her purse, but I could not muster up the courage to interrupt their family get together.

You poor thing! I know what it feels like to be sick on vacation--it stinks! That other mom probably wouldn't have minded if you asked her for a Tylenol or Advil. I certainly would never consider that an interruption.

Hope you felt better in the morning.

Denise

I just found this trip report about 20 mins ago and just read it from start to finish.

It was like a good book, that you can't put down......:goodvibes

Also, are your girls favorite colors orange, blue and pink? I think they had these colors on in every picture........They are too cute!!!:cutie: :cutie: :cutie:

My Mom says she knows Polo Park. I guess my Dad knows someone that used to be on the fire department with him that lives in Polo Park. Yes it is great having a place to stay.

Ha! It does appear that way. Well, Aurora used to love pink, everything was pink. Now she is 9 year old almost 10, so she is what I like to call anti-pink. Anything but pink. She does appear to be on an orange kick lately. Now Lilo on the other hand, is at the age were she wants to wear the same exact outfit every single day. When we stayed at my parents house, I kept up with the laundry so she could wear that blue poko dotted dress in just about every single picture. I didn't care though it was cool and it was clean.

What a nice mom you are.....doing wash everyday so she can wear her favorite dress everday....:goodvibes

DS likes to wear certain pajamas he has, like his Buzz lightyear pj pals, so I have to make sure they are always clean...

Well, guys I did not mean to let you down. We went away for the weekend in the White Mountains in NH, it was beautiful. I had every intention to post an update today, but it did not work as planned. I promise to have something tomorrow.

After a really rough night at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, surprisingly I managed to sleep quite soundly through the night. When I woke the next morning, everyone was still sleeping. I could hear a loud “kshhhhhh,, kshhhhh,….” Noise. It was coming from the side of the room where Aurora’s twin bed was, so I assumed she was snoring loudly. I got up, went to the bathroom and grabbed another prescription strength Motrin. And walked back into the bedroom and you will never believe what I saw out the window! This:

I yelled, “everyone up, look at the hot air balloon.” Everyone jumped up and could not believe their eyes. The kids were so excited. We sat in the screen house and watched. I made coffee and brought some cereal out to the kids. The hot air balloon must have been stuck there and they were keeping it inflated until the rescue crew could arrive. We watched them take it down and then decided to tackle Epcot today. I felt better after a good nights sleep and the Motrin was really doing its job, so I assumed I would be ok. It must have been 9-9:30 by the time got up, plus we were in-ah watching the hot air balloon viewing this morning so, we had a real late start compared to previous days. We got washed up, packed our bags, and headed for Epcot.

Gosh, it must have been 11:00 by the time we walked through the Epcot gates. The minute we walked through the gates I was taken back by the Flower and Garden festival. It was amazing! Look at these pictures:

Today for some reason, DH wanted to control the camera. He took a ton. Today was an extremely casual day. We did not rush, we casually strolled throughout Epcot and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The first thing we did was stroll over to Soarin to grab some FP’s for later. Then we proceeded to Club Cool. I have never done Club Cool before. The girls thought it was pretty neat to use the soda machine all by themselves. Aurora has this thing with Mexico lately, so naturally she loved the Mexican soft drink. Then we walked over to the character connection, but already had all the autographs of those characters so, we walked away.

After a brief sugar rush we decided to take on the countries. To please Aurora, we headed toward Mexico first. The first thing Lilo wanted to do was make a mask and get the first stamp in her book. I made the adorable cards for each country. I put the countries flag on each index card and had them stamp that. I can’t take credit for the idea. I learned about it here on the DIS. After mask making 101, we rode El Rio del Tiempo. The girls loved this ride last year, so we (the adults) were glad to see that they updated it. It is short, so we did not mind.

Then I convinced DH to walk over to the margarita booth and get us both an ice-cold margarita. He did not argue in the least, in fact he thought it was fabulous idea. He bought some rainbow colored margarita and I have to say that some layers tasted much better then others, but it sure hit the spot. By the time we got to Norway, our margarita’s were still full and we wanted to ride Maelstorm. I asked the CM if we were allowed to bring these drinks on the boat, she said yes, so there we were riding Maelstorm with our beverages. The line was non-existent, we actually walked right on. Maelstorm is wonderful with a margarita in your hands. Here are some pictures of Norway:

After Norway, we sipped our cocktail and strolled on through China, Germany and Italy. The CM’s at the China kidcot booth were really nice, they wrote the girls names in Chinese on their homemade passport cards. When we were in Italy, I was barking orders at DH to take this picture, take that picture. He sort of did his own thing, not exactly the picture I was looking for. My fault not his; I should have taken the picture myself.

We stopped by USA for a late lunch. My kids are incredibley picky, they would never hear of eating foreign food. We ordered the basic American counter service meal, nothing to write home about.

By this time our FP was available for Soarin, so we grabbed the boat across the water. This was another first for us we usually walk back. What were we thinking before? Walk or ride? Definitely ride! First we stopped on by to grab FP’s for Test Track, then proceeded on over to Soarin. The Soarin is one of favorites; I love the feeling, smells, and music. It is so relaxing. As we departed, Aurora and I hit the restroom while DH and Lilo waited behind. When we came out Lilo was talking to a CM or should I say the dream team. Yes, on our last day the dream team finally approached us. Thoughts were running through my mind. Would we be staying in the castle tonight? Or Maybe Disney Vacations for life? They asked her three questions. First question:

CM: What did you smell on Soarin? Popcorn, Cotton Candy, or Oranges
Lilo: Cotton Candy!!!!!!

I looked at DH and said “there goes our chance for a Year of Million Dreams”, the girl smelled Cotton Candy while Soarin over California. I could not listen to the other 2 answers so I stood behind. If you want to look on the bright side, we did receive an incredible award! Lilo got a lovely certificate!!!!!! Maybe we should frame it for that Cotton Candy response, it was priceless. I should not pick on her too much, she is only 5, but I really wanted Disney vacations for life. Hey, a girl can dream!

We continued back to the countries going counter clockwise this time and went to Canada first. By the time we reached Canada it was getting hot. We were searching and searching for that kidcot booth. DH asked someone and they sent us to the entrance of LeCelliar so we finally found it. I told the CM that they are not easy to find and she said that she hears that a lot. When we passed by Canada and the UK Off Kilter was playing, but we had zero desire to stand in the heat to watch a band that we never heard of before (besides here on the DIS) play. So we strolled on over to the UK. Around this point Aurora started dragging. She was not complaining too much, but her energy level was low and she did comment that she did not feel well when I asked what was wrong. She moved along slowly and we went to France. In France, we located the Princesses. Aurora is too old for Princesses, but Lilo was in Princess heaven. Both Belle and Princess Aurora gave her a lot of attention. Plus the princesses loved their personalized autograph cards.

When we got back to Aurora and DH, Aurora was really not feeling well at all. She plunked herself in the umbrella stroller and claimed she could not walk anymore. I asked what was wrong? She was achy and could not walk. Oh no she has the same cold I had last night. Now what do we do????? I will conclude in the next installment.

I'm love your report. Your girls are so cute! When you're all done with writing your TR, I have a couple of questions:
1) If you could do it all over again, what would you change?
2) Of all the rides, which was your favorite? Why?
3) How did your family like Epcot?
4) What was your family's favorite park?

Thanks for the great report - I can't wait to see what happens next!

I don't know what you're doing different from the other Trip Reporters because here on our company computer I rarely am able to see the pictures, it's just blank where their pictures are posted but yours are coming through great!!
