First off, we had an ADR for Crystal Palace at 8:05am and when the wake up Stitch obediently called at 6:30 we hung up on him and went right back to sleep. When we woke up a few hours later I was really bummed because I love the Crystal Palace and was really looking forward to a tasty breakfast there. However, I think this might have been divine intervention...

Flashback Story.....
It's 2004 and we've gone to WDW with 2 of our best friends, Kristin & Frank.
Let me introduce you...
We wanted them to experience the gloriousness of a WDW character buffet so we made an ADR for Crystal Palace. Kristin's also an Eeyore lover. Everything was great as usual! Actually, everything was so good we ate way more than we should have.
In fact, I was so busy taking picture's of K & F with the characters that I didn't notice Gus on a major OJ bender!! About 10 minutes later we're ready to head out. K & F wanted to get a locker so we agreed to meet over in Adventureland. So, Gus & I are walking over that way and Gus is complaining the had way to much OJ and I just kinda nod in agreement, half listening. Well, out of no where he decides to try and jump up and hang from the wooden beams over the Adventureland Entrance but instead misses the beam and lands right on his butt in the middle of the walkway.
Now, I didn't see any of this coming at all. One minute we were walking like normal people and the next Gus is playing Tarzan. Well, he lands really hard and I'm pretty shocked by the whole thing and worried that he might have hurt himself so I immediately yell at him about what the heck he is thinking!!!
He hobbles over to a planter with a big palm tree in it and sits down. He's looking something like this

and complaining that he's not feeling well and of course I'm really starting to think he's bleeding internally or something.
So, I'm still upset because the whole thing was just so random and silly and now he's hurt!! And then it happens....
Gus opens his mouth and about 20 gallons of vomit comes exploding from inside of him and I'm really convinced now that he's going to die since I have never seen him so sick!! Not to mention, everyone is staring and it was all happening so fast that I just kinda freaked out and got even more upset!! Yes, in hind sight now I realize this wasn't the most compassionate way to respond but I didn't know about all the OJ and I really thought he had hurt himself doing something stupid and I felt so helpless!! So, the vomit keeps coming in full force and just when I think he's empty, even more comes out.
The scary part was the force in which it came out. You were in trouble if you had been anywhere within 15 feet of him!!
This went on for what seemed like an eternity and then it was over just like that. After a bit of drama, it all worked itself out and Gus was feeling well enough to keep going but til this day no trip is complete until we have stopped at that tree and admired the 15 x 15 foot stain that he believes is still there!!!!

We haven't been back since and I keep thinking maybe it's fate!
We got up and out of the room about 9:20ish. As we were heading over to the TTC (ticket & transportation center) I was so into the Cinemagic station on XM that Gus used this against me and the seat heater score is now 4-2!!!
Meep.
We finally enter the Magic Kingdom about 10am and decide to get counter service breakfast at the Main Street Bake Shop. In all my trips to WDW I don't think I had ever been in here so I wasn't sure if this would be a good use of our counter service but boy was I wrong!!! Since this is one of the only place for breakfast we waited about 20 minutes to go thru the line but it actually went pretty quickly. Once it was our turn we were told we could get any 2 items and a drink of our choice. We were surprised at this since we figured we'd only be allowed one item and a drink so after some thought I got a made to order croissant with melted ham & cheese & a fresh out of the oven giant cinnamon roll that was literally about 6 inches high & wide. It also had warm cinnamon honey drizzle all over it. It was to die for!! I also had a chocolate Nesquick as my drink so it wouldn't be long until I was in a self-induced sugar coma. Gus pretty much got the same thing except he got OJ for his drink. Luckily it wasn't all you can drink!!
After this we headed over the Main Street Barber Shop. Gus purposely didn't cut his hair before we left so he could do it here. Most of the time we forget that it's even there so we were determined to check it out. It was about 11:30am when we checked in and there was only one person in front of us so after about a 20 minute wait it was the Gus's turn:
Aww, his first Disney haircut:
The hair lady was Penny and she has been here for 30 years!!! Get her if you can!!
So proud!
Another new experience accomplished!!
Just in case you were interested, it was $17.95 for an adult haircut and you could have pixie dust or color added to your hair! For some reason, Gus just wasn't into that.

lol.
We head straight to Monster's Inc Laugh Floor Comedy Club and I'm a little indifferent since I'd heard so many bad things about it. However, we absolutely loved it!! Gus was picked as Randall this time and did a great job hamming it up for the crowd! We thought it was so cute and clever that we vowed to do it as soon as we could think of our own joke to send in.
After this we did Stitch's Great Escape. I don't particularly like this attraction but I loved Alien Encounter and I only really go on it to pretend there's a mean, evil alien eating the audience!! Ah, those we good times.
We also did Space Mountain and Carousel of Progress.
By now it was lunch time and we decided to head over to Liberty Tree Tavern and see if they could get us in. Our original plan was to eat a Cosmic Rays but since we skipped a table service breakfast that morning we needed to have one for lunch or dinner. Since we had been to LTT many times for dinner and I was kind of sick of the whole Thanksgiving buffet thing we thought we'd try out the lunch menu!
We arrived about 2:30ish and had no problem getting in but they didn't seem very busy at that time so I think we got lucky. We were seated right away.
Gus had the: Pilgrims' Feast - traditional roast turkey with herb bread dressing, mashed potatoes and a garden vegetable and being the pasta lover I am I decided to try the: William Penn Chicken Pasta -- applewood smoked bacon, marinated chicken, and basil with a creamy marinara. Gus was pleased since he basically got what we always get there at dinner time. However, I didn't care for my pasta at all!! The sauce was very bland and it didn't compare at all to the fantastic one I'd had at Whispering Canyons a few nights earlier.
I had the: Three-Chocolate Brownie - dark, milk and white chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert which was as good as it sounds and Gus went with the Strawberry Shortcake -- pound cake with vanilla bean ice cream, berries, and whipped cream which wasn't the best he's ever had.
Next we went on the Haunted Mansion!! We waited about 35 minutes to get on this which I think is the longest we have ever had to wait here. I was hoping this meant they really improved the ride and after riding we weren't disappointed!! The new addition were great and we really thought it "plus'd" the attraction in all the right ways. Our favorite new thing was the blinking eyes in the wallpaper!! Very cool!
We spent the few hours doing the Hall of Presidents, Philharmagic & everything else in Fantasyland! There might have been a french fry and dole whip stop included in there some where.
Me and Donald are like this
So happy together!!!
Just another beautiful day in the Magic Kingdom...
We then returned to Laugh Floor and Gus texted in a joke he proudy came up with all by himself...
Why was Mike falling down the mountain??
Because he was Wiz Out Ski'z. Get it??
Anyway, they used it in the show so he was quite pleased with himself! Second time was even better than the first. They went in a different direction and spent more time making fun of the audience instead of doing jokes on stage. It was a blast!!
Next was Pirates where Gus was 'gusducted' and forced to pilage for women and rum:
However, he wasn't very good at it and they spit us out at the end of the ride. lol.
It's now night time in the Magic Kingdom which just so happens to be my favoritist time!!!
Bet you didn't know I snagged me a Jedi!!
For dinner we grabbed a couple cheeseburger's from Cosmic Rays and they were just ok. The free cheese sauce for the fries is a bonus!! And I like that you get to put on your own toppings.
We skipped both parades since we've seen them many times before and didn't want to wait around. However, skipping Wishes is out of the question and since we only had about 10 minutes we headed down the walkway that goes thru the rose garden and there was no one there. Score!!! It's actually a really great last minute place to watch the fireworks from but shhhh, don't tell anyone!!
After the show we stopped to take a few picture's and then decided to call it a night. But not before we saw the Good Night Kiss!! Can't miss that one!
On our way out we ran into none other but my favorite perky Travel Channel Host, Samantha Brown!!
BTW, she was very nice and even chatted with us for a few minutes about how we liked the Animal Kingdom Lodge. She claims it's her favorite place to stay! BTW2, the WDW special she was taping that night will be on 4/11 at 9pm on the Travel Channel and another new one the following Friday also at 9pm!
On the way home we stopped at DisneyQuest and took a spin on the Astro-Blasters. We then played some old school video games like Q-bert, Mz Pac-Man, Space Invaders & Donkey Kong. We also played some air hockey where Gus practically took off my fingers. Ouch!! After an hour or two we were beat so we called it a night!!
Upcoming: Meeting new friends from the DIS on the Fort Wilderness Segway Tour!!! And eating my favorite meal in all of WDW!!!
