I was able to break free from my Twilight Saga induced coma for a moment so here we go....
So, we get up late and try to eat up the rest of the breakfast food we have left in the room. Raisin cinnamon bread and grape juice for me and a blueberry bagel for the Gus!! Tasty!
We get over the Epcot about 11am and it's already a nice warm day! It's especially warm when someone seat heaters you when you're still half asleep!! And considering our trip is almost over, let's just say Gus wins this round of the toasted buns game but there's always next year for my big comeback!!
We head straight to France for our second round of crepes!! Yummmy! The funny part is I never want them unless we are at WDW!
After looking around a bit we head over to catch the first performance of Off Kilter. We hadn't seen them before so thought this would be the perfect chance. With 30 minutes til showtime we were literally the first ones there. We grabbed a front row bench and begin the countdown! Well, let me tell you, when we sat down it was somewhat overcast and within 10 mintues every bench was taken and the sun had shown it's self. I swear it was sitting right above us and using every once of it's sunshiney energy to relentlessly beam down right upon our heads. The biggest problem was that Gus suggested we move before to many people showed up and I snapped what's the big deal, it's just a little sun!!

That was a big oops because even with 30 proof sunscreen on, I had a nice little sunburn by the time the show was over! Ouch! Anyway, Off Kilter was a lot of fun to watch and I'm glad we made time to see them! We'll definitely see them again!
After the show Gus gloated and made fun of my sunburn for approximately 20 long obnoxious minutes and then we decided to escape the heat in the best heat escaper attraction ever!!! What is....Universe of Energy!!
I think the heat made us a little loopy as we start taking silly pictures of ourselves while waiting inside....
3 days later we exited the attraction...hehe, ok, it's not THAT long but sometimes it feels like it's another day when you come out of there!!
Since the line for test track wasn't to long we took a quick ride and headed over to World Showcase. It's about 3:30 now and we have a 5:15 ADR at Biergarten is Germany! We spend sometime walking around Mexico so Gus can visit with his people. lol. And of course we went on Gran Fiesta Tour. I still liked it better when it had the creepy carousel!!
We then head over to China and Norway and some shopping and random ogling there! The line for Maelstrom was 35 minutes so we skipped it and just sat around World Showcase for a while relaxing. Speaking of Germany...
Picture Flashback....
This was such a hard picture to get and we were so proud when in May of 2006 we finally got it....
It's now time to check in for our ADR and we're excited to finally try this place out!! But as we walk up to check in we can tell something is very wrong. There are security guards standing out front and people are being turned away. My first thought was, holy crap, this place is so popular they need security to turn away people who don't have ADR's. However, after we tried to check in, we found it was much worse than that. The cast member very politely informed us that due to emergency circumstances beyond their control the restaurant would be closed for the evening!!
Everyone looked very distraught so although we were disappointed, it just didn't seem like the right time to object nor did we ask her what happened.
She offered to make another ADR for us anywhere we wanted so we decided to try another place we hadn't been to before...Les Chefs De France!
As we were walking away we heard a security guard telling some upset guests that a member of the band had just died on stage in front of dining guests. This seemed to shut them up fairly quickly.
After hearing that, I actually wasn't really hungry anymore. I couldn't stop thinking about how sad it was, for his family & friends and for the guests and children that witnessed it! BTW, after we came home, the news had broke that it was true!
So, now we are all bummed out but we decide to still try and have a nice dinner so we check into Chefs De France and are seated right away.
Gus orders the Filet de boeuf grille - sauce au poivre noir Gratin Dauphinois et haricots verts - Grilled tenderloin of beef with black pepper sauce, original potato gratin of Savoy and green beans and I go with the Gratin de macaroni - Baked macaroni with cream and gruyere cheese. Gus didn't care for his beef at all. He said it was dry and flavorless. However, I really enjoyed my Mac N Cheese. I thought it was very mild and not overly cheesy but still had a great taste to it. Gus didn't like it either. He found it boring and bland.
For dessert we had the Crepe a la pomme et cannelle, glace vanille, caramel jus de pommes - Crepe filled with cinnamon, apple, vanilla ice cream and apple caramel sauce and the vanilla creme brulee served with a madeliene.
We felt both were good enough but nothing super special.
After dinner we took in WS again since it's much more charming at night.
We also found our spot for Illuminations (...reflections of earth) and settled in for the next hour. I so love when the narrator blows out the torches!!
After the fireworks we headed back to the Lodge since we needed to pack and be ready to check out in the morning. I hate the leaving part.
