The food does look good. Sorry about the House of Blues, though. I want to go there sometime for the Sunday Gospel Brunch.

That happened at Columbia Harbour House once. It didn't involve reservations, of course, but we just happened to head there to eat. They didn't have anything fried - no chicken, no fish, no fries. They just had cold sandwiches and soups. It was a good place to be, though, since almost everyone was turning away and they were not crowded!

I know it is tough to think about, but you're going to have to plan many more trips to get everything in! I mean, just look at your T-Rex sign picture. You'll have to try that, too.

Very nice pictures! I want to walk right onto that boat and take a ride!

thought i'd do a quick update since i've already got the pictures uploaded!

so after going back to the room, making some phone calls to check in with the real world and cleaning up, we headed out to downtown disney. we decided to take the boat instead of walking. i think walking would've been quicker, but the boat ride over was nice, too!

this is what we saw as we got off the boat at DTD west side. it's so pretty! it did make me want to go see it that night, as originally planned, though. maybe next time.

What a pretty sight!! I am trying to talk DH into going when we are down this summer...who knows though, we have so much else to see & do!!

it was only about 12:20 when we got off the boat and our ADR at house of blues wasn't until 1:00, but we went ahead over to eat because we were both hungry. i was really looking forward to some fried artichoke hearts!

ohh...I've never been there!!

as we walked up to the door, a manager-looking woman came out and said, "wanna come in and try our very limited menu today?" when i asked her what she was talking about, she said they were having mechanical difficulties in the kitchen and that they only had like 4 things available, all of which we weren't interested in. i told her we would probably go somewhere else and she wrote down their number so we could call back later if we changed our mind to see if they were up and running.

i was very disappointed, but there was nothing we could do about it. we decided instead to head towards wolfgang puck express since we just loved it last year. i actually stopped at the express that's attached to wolfgang puck cafe at west side, but their menu wasn't as big as the one in marketplace so we decided to walk over there. here's some pics from our walk from west side to marketplace.

Ok that sucks that they only had 4 things on the menu!! Did you get there during the rest of your trip, or are you going to have to wait for your fried artichoke hearts??

Have you never been to disney quest?? It is a blast, DH & I went during our honeymoon in 2005!!! Loved every moment of it, but hey, it is disney world after all!! I'd love it no matter what!!

we finally made it ALL the way over to wolfgang puck express and we decided to split a rigatoni pasta with chicken alfredo, a BBQ chicken quesadilla and 2 side caesar salads.

i'm telling you, this is one of THE BEST CS restaurants in all of disney. i wouldn't even consider it CS since they actually have servers that bring your food and refill your drinks. it's awesome! all of it was SO GOOD. we didn't finish it and carried half of the pasta and quesadilla back to the resort with us for a late-night snack. YUM!!!

WPE is on my list of CS restuarants to eat when during our summer trip, and your pictures are just reassuring me that I am making a wise decision!! Food LOOKS awesome!!

that's all for now. told you it'd be a short update. hey, at least it's something!

up next......lots of DTD shopping, disney art galore, the best rice krispie treat i've ever had and ray crosses over to the dark side.

Can't wait to see some shopping pictures...hehe...I love shopping!!

Sorry about the House of Blues. I have eaten at WPE way back in 2001 and from what I remember it was good. When we go to WDW next year I want to take the boys to Disney Quest, my boys love their video games and of course it should be a blast for me and DH too.

Great pix of DTD! We try to go once a trip and ALWAYS eat at Fultons - love it. For our trip in 5 DAYS, my daughter and I are trying Raglan Road for the first time. We've never been over to the Pleasure Island side before so I'm looking forward to showing her some new sights - but we'll just be looking and not touching. She's only 12 so there will be no enjoying the night life over there just yet!

thanks! yeah, ray is a sox fan. when we moved to atlanta he tried to follow the braves, but would just get frustrated. so he started following the sox a few years ago and he just loves them!

I am typing this first, because i just read it and dont want to forget it...my parents and sister and BIL just went to disneyquest for the first time and loved it...my dad said it was alot of fun, but he would have enjoyed it more if he had been a bigger gaming fan.

He really like the virtual reality games that you can play.

You are the first person that i found that will be in disney during hte time that we will...we are going form the 7th to the 13th, and i see below that you have Epcot planned for hte 12th, that is the day that we are going there too...maybe we will bump into you...my Pretrip is listed in my siggy ifyou wanna check it out...along with my other reports.

choose between that and DHS that day and mousefest is having a gathering at DHS that night. i think i'd much rather deal with bigger crowds at epcot, which can handle more crowds, then a huge crowd at fantasmic, ya know? besides, i'm pretty sure we'll be done riding stuff at epcot by lunch time.

i know! pop warner is going to DHS on 12/10 and that's the night we arrive, but we won't be getting in until VERY LATE (like 1:00 a.m.) so that won't conflict at all.

Where did you find the popwarner schedule, is the 10th the only day they are going in the parks, or have something special planned in one of hte parks, we are going to MK on the 10th so i hope that will not conflict with our plans.

I tried DisneyQuest with my DS14 on our trip (Actually last Tuesday) and we had a blast!! I'm not really a video game person, but you can't help and try it all.

That food looked scrumptious! (not sure if that's how to spell it, but you know what I'm sayin') I want to get to the Harley store next time we're down there too. I tried Raglan road on jan 29th for my Anniversary this year and our experience was way less than I expected. Our server was not attentive, gave me the wrong order after we discussed it for like 5 minutes, and then, when I requested a candle or something special to put on our dessert since it was our actual anniversary, he flat out forgot and we just got a regular dessert. No writing on it, nothing, after I remninded him he said, oh, I forgot. No sorry or anything.

I was pretty bummed cause every other place we went to for our entire trip gave us some sort of "happy' or free dessert or something. Not even an embarassing song! My DH and I weren't impressed with the food but the dessert I ordered was awesome-the champagne covered strawberry pavlovas. I might go back and only order dessert just to have it again!

A DVC-er that I know had the same less than stellar review when i asked her about it. It's a shame cause it's a great atmosphere but so-so food and bad service. Not up to Disney standards in my book. Hopefully ya'll have had /will have better experiences than mine though!
