That's a too funny pic of Cinderella, and the Tea Cups video is hilarious. It reminds me of this one time I went to an amusment park with my sister and cousin. There was some kind of ride that you could spin the vehicle, while it was high up in the air. Kind of like a ferris wheel, except you could make the cups spin. (I think this may have been at Hershey park?) Anyway, my sister agreed to ride with my cousin and I, but only if we promised not to make the cup spin. Well, she should have known better because my cousin is the biggest prankster ever, and of course he did just that. To this day she still won't get on any rides with my cousin.

the first time someone told me that a real person "flew" from the castle to tomorrowland every night i almost peed on myself.....seriously. okay, maybe that was too much information. keep in mind that if it's windy or rainy they won't let her fly....just FYI. last year i was very disappointed because she didn't fly on our MK night.

LOVED your Spectro pictures! So overall, was the flagpole location better for worse than the Liberty square planter location? I always wondered if you could hear me yelling at DS during your entire Spectro video from last September!

We have watched Wishes from that exact location in the rose garden. It's a good spot especially if you want a video of Tink's back side! (Good job, Ray!)

it just depends on what you prefer. it's definitely easier to get a seat later in liberty square. but it is pretty cool to see the parade at the very beginning, as the floats are coming out of the staging area. and no, we can't hear you yelling at your DS during my spectro video! there is a part where i'm just kind of taping the crowd waiting for the parade to start and we can hear you and tara talking about the resorts, but it's fine because it reminds me of what you guys sound like in real life!

Punkin - great pitures. I love Spectro. I cry every time I watch the video of it I have from our last trip. Nice shots of Tinkerbell too, I cried watching that video too, what a sap. I so want to try the Teacups but I'm afraid of the spinning, if you don't spin it does it spin anyway? Have fun in TN. Oh and I love your accent. I have a friend who lives in TN and when she was up here (she moved back home) I could listen to her talk all day.

you're not a sap......you're just like me when it comes to disney - it warms you heart! well, the whole floor spins on the teacups, but it doesn't spin fast...just sort of takes you around the floor. so if you don't touch the disc in the middle then you won't spin hardly at all. i'm sure you'd be fine as long as you don't spin it yourself! thanks about my accent - i sound like a southern chipmunk!

i know, right? wasn't that so funny? it was like he was cheering on his favorite football team! that little girl just walked out there and laid down. i was waiting for a CM to come get her to move, but they never did. once she laid down she didn't move so i'm thinking she was asleep.

i wanted to share these pics with you guys. i went to tennessee to visit my family and for an old friend's bachelorette party and on sunday i had a dismeet with vandyfan10 (erica), memom (caren), brooklynnsmommy (jill) and little miss brooklyn. i had met erica before and of course we clicked...hence our september trip! but this was my first time meeting caren, jill and brooklynn and they were so sweet!!! just like i'd imagined they would be. brooklynn was so cute. she made a beeline for the merry-go-round as soon as she saw it! then when she and jill rode it she had this unsure look on her little face - just wasn't quite sure about that merry-go-round!

anyway, here's the pic my mom took for me. of course caren wouldn't be in the picture - she was behind the camera as always!

here's a few more pics from the trip. on my way into town on thursday i went by erica's house and met her hubby and their doggies.

on saturday me, my dad, my sister, my brother and his girlfriend all played frisbee golf. it sounds easy but i was terrible at it!

nope, we have courses here in the U.S. they're not abundant like golf courses, but they're around. it's usually free to play, which makes it even more fun! you just bring a frisbee and go for it!

after i regained my bearings after getting off the teacups, ray and i decided to head to the haunted mansion. he hadn't seen the changes they did last fall. by this time, it was around 10:30 and the park was starting to clear out. there was NO line and we hopped right on.

i tried to get a shot of the haunted mansion at night, but it didn't turn out that great.

ray took video in night vision again. oh, and just so you know, that light that you see reflecting off things cannot be seen with the naked eye. so it's not like there's a big green light shining from the camera. i wouldn't let him do that because it would be totally obnoxious!

for those of you who haven't ridden the haunted mansion since the changes, there are some included in these videos. so if you're curious, watch them. if you don't want to spoil it, don't.

here's the crystal ball with the fortune teller's head or whatever she is and then the room with the dancing ghosts. the fortune teller's crystal ball used to sit on a table - now it levitates.



this is a totally new scene, the bride's attic.

fun stuff!

after the haunted mansion we decided to head towards big thunder mountain railroad. i rode it last september at night and it was so much fun because you can't see where you're going! i can't remember what the wait was, but it wasn't long at all. this ride just makes me laugh!



when we got off big thunder it was around 11:15 and we were starting to run out of gas. the park was open until 2:00 a.m., but we had only gotten 4 hours of sleep the night before and we'd had a long day. so we decided to walk through adventureland to get a dole whip (YUM!!!) and then head back to the resort. on the way, we passed aladdin's magic carpets. we had never ridden this before and there was only a 10-minute wait, so we hopped in line.

how much fun is this!!???? i had no idea that it dipped...i thought it was just like dumbo and only went up and down. and we totally got squirted by the camel. i wasn't expecting that at all!

as we got off, we passed this sign.....i've been through that area before but had never noticed it. i love aladdin so i thought it was really neat!

after the carpets we headed over to aloha isle to get a dole whip float. oh, my goodness.....i forgot how good these things were! we found a bench just in front of crystal palace and enjoyed it while people and castle watching.

after we finished our late-night treat, we headed towards the exit. it was around midnight and we were BEAT! we took the monorail over to the TTC and rode the tram to our car, then headed back to the resort. i was so anxious to get to bed! i didn't even set the alarm for the next morning. just laid my head down on that wonderful SSR pillow and had wonderful disney dreams!!!

we had a great first day at disney. the AK and MK pre-wishes crowds were pretty scary, but not enough to ruin our disney high. and that dinner at kona alone was worth the drive!

up next.......the start of day 2: lunch at earl of sandwich, our day at DHS and the best seats EVER for beauty and the beast!!!
