our non-rushing (sorta) disney anniversary w/ PICS & VIDEO! new TR link - p. 136

of course i remember you!!! and i don't consider liking the bulldogs a character flaw.......just a lapse in judgment. :lmao: i'm TOTALLY kidding!!!! seriously, not all their fans are obnoxious and i'm sure you're one of the nice ones. it's just that i live 20 minutes from athens so you can imagine the slack i get for not being a bulldogs fan. people here consider that sacreligious or something! by the way, i took mark richt's deposition about a month ago and he was a really nice guy!

Hey that is cool about Mark Richt. Yes, there can definitely be really rude GA fans. I like to think I am not one of those, well unless you are a FL fan...hehe. :rotfl:

I think I read one of your posts saying you were about to lose your hubby to college football season - am I recalling this correctly - and all I can say is I wish I had that problem. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE college football and watch as many games as I can on Thurs, Fri, and Sat...lol. I am soingle and am looking for a man who is the same kind of fan as me. If you know of anyone :rolleyes1 , you can send 'em my way...lol. ;)

Oh and Happy Belated Birthday! When was it? My mom's was the 17th. Hope you had some great birthday plans!

Thanks to Brooke for sharing and you for posting.

Her ride expressions are hilarious-especially on EE. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate with them. I LOVE the tink mug:thumbsup2 Great choice!

Dawn, glad you had a great birthday dinner! I could just see the other patrons in the restaurant when you started taking food pron shots! :rotfl2:

Looks like Brooke and Jon managed to have a good time in spite of the rain :thumbsup2 Tell them thanks for sharing their pics with us!

Happy Belated Birthday Dawn... I am glad that you had a good time at Bone Fish.. I usually order the Tilapia. Very yummy.
Thanks for sharing Brooke's pictures with us... despite the rain, they looked like they had a good time.

wow now if we could all write a TR from our vacations that fast...i felt like i just saw the who World, in less than 5 minutes.
:thumbsup2

great job on the recape, we are tlaking about doing a drink a country around epcot...thanks to your hubby, i have to get the sampler at Rose...and we want to get the margarita at Mexico,

the good thing is, that i think Candis sister will be joining us that day in Epcot, so it will be easy to get a drink and share in each country, we would be plastered if we all got our own in each country, then who would watch parker?

Tell Brooke thanks for her photos! Tood bad it rained so much. That just means they'll have to come back and try again right? :)

I thought I'd sorta hijack you TR for 5 seconds and show you what I ran into at the midnight opening on Thursday for Dark Knight. DH has been excited about the movie since the final credits rolled on Batman Begins in the theater the first time we saw it. Anywho, my wait included this:
2689050383_a15b977c6b.jpg

Hey it's Disney/pixar so it's not too far off subject. I didn't have my camera with me the last time we were at the theater and since DH made me wait 2 hours at the theater before the midnight show time, I had to kill some time and who better to do it with?

some pop century pics......

P1000245.jpg

That was our building this trip - the green one to the right of Mickey.

I'm looking very forward to our Liberty Tree meal the day before Thanksgiving, and I'm especially glad to be getting it in before they remove the characters.

Thanks for sharing Brooke's pictures. There's fun to be had in spite of bad weather when you are in Disney World!

WOW take a weekend off from the DIS and look what happens 6 new pages on one of my favorite TRs :scared1: Your response to me was so far back I'm not even going to try and go find it to quote.
You must travel all over for your job, you're a pretty long way from Marietta. Would you believe I've never been to the Marietta Dinner! We usually go to Willie Rae's or Simpatico they are our favorites.
popcorn:: can't wait to see how the rest of your time in WS went.
Lynn

to all of you who responded and told me to thank brooke for sharing her pics, i will definitely do so! and yes, they had fun despite the rain. but she said they will never be back in july - too crowded and too rainy.

Sounded like a lovely evening Dawn

we did! the food was just awesome.

Looks like you guys had a great time last night!

Thanks for the pics and review of Bonefish -- it sounds right up our alley! Is it a reservations type place or did you just walk in?

DH and I will have to sneak out to see the new Batman movie -- Connor wants to see it, but from what I have heard, it isn't a kid's movie.

they take a "limited number of reservations" according to the hostess. we had 8:00 reservations and showed up at 8:05 because the movie ran a little long, but it was no problem. and yes, you'll have to see the movie without connor. there were a couple of parts i had to look away from, so it's definitely not a kid's movie!

Spooky!! I am at this second drinking out of the same mug!!!! Isn't it cheery?!!

 cool! i love it! i drank out of it sunday and this morning!

AWESOME pictures--you taught her well:cool1:
seeing the live pictures are helping me get through these last few days until we hit the world; thanks for sharing:thumbsup2

oh, i'm so jealous! HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!

Great pictures! Jon's face, in a lot of the pictures sets his mood of the day. That weather stunk! Weren't they doing this trip again because their last trip wasn't so fun??? Dangit! IF they decide they want to try and do it again, I hope it's better for them. I know exactly how they feel though. DH and I hope to redo our Hawaiian vacation next summer. (minus the shark bite) Hopefully they feel like they have some unresolved business there and will go back. If you don't mind me asking, how much do those personalized menus cost and how do you go about getting it done? I've seen a lot of people on the DIS doing it and am very curious...
Glad that you had a happy birthday. I didn't want to distract from your birthday, but mine was the day before yours. Unfortunately for me, I'm 3 years closer to 40, so not so happy.  :scared1:

jon really was having fun - he just doesn't smile a lot. he's a super nice guy and he has a great sense of humor (if he didn't he definitely couldn't date brooke!). you have to know him to understand his expressions!

shark bite??? :scared1:

brooke just called the number for coral reef (i think you can get it off the wdwinfo.com site where they have the menus) and arranged to have the personalized menus and the diver. it didn't cost her a nickel!

oh, and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! :flower3:

and tell her that her faces on the ride pictures are great :lmao:

Also tell her I don't think their personalized menus were cheezy, maybe I'm just a cheeseball myself but I thought it was :lovestruc.

aren't her faces great? they crack me up! and brooke is SO not the girly, romantic type, so she just didn't like the wording on it. you see what she wrote on the diver sign - something that totally didn't make sense to anyone but she and jon!

Hey Dawn - glad to hear you had a great birthday!(I did too!:goodvibes )

Don't know your brother's backstory but he looks adorable. (Actually, DD was walking by and thought he was one of the Jonas Brothers! Coming from a 12yr.old - that's a HUGE compliment!:lovestruc )

Your sister's pictures are great! I see she and her boyfriend attended the "Ray & Dawn Guide to Taking Your Own Self-Portrait". And, how do you all get those great shots on some of those rides? I'm usually holding on for dear life on the rollercoasters - would never be able to take a picture too!:rotfl:

BTW - glad to see that Brooke's boyfriend has better taste in his baseball teams - LOVED the Yankees shirt!

 i will tell my brother he was mistaken for a jonas brother and see what he says. considering he's 22 years old and his favorite band is the mars volta (very hard rock), i don't know how he'll react to that! :rotfl2:

i'm good with a camera on the rollercoasters. i don't know if i could handle it on ToT though!

ray and jon have had some very heated-but-friendly yankee vs. red sox debates since brooke's been dating him!

Of course I am! ;) It's $4.17 up here!! :scared1:

Thank you sis for letting you posts the pics! :thumbsup2

wow! that's more expensive than here. today i got it for $3.97.

Bonus trip report! Sorry they ran into so much rain but it looks like they had a great time nonetheless! And you did well training her on all of the photos. I bet she'd be a good trip report writer if she gave it a shot...:rolleyes1

Both your bro and sis are cute... looks like a fun family to be part of! :goodvibes

thanks! they are both just cooks!

Thank your sister for letting you post her pics! It looks like they both had a really great time, despite the rain! And.......Brooke's face is priceless on the rides! :goodvibes

aren't they! when i saw the one of her on EE i couldn't stop laughing!

I love the pictures. glad to see Brooke's carrying on your food porn tradition, as well as Pakey's silly hat pose (the fez).
Just imagine the scandal it will cause when Chip comes out of the closet (I'm guessing Dale will be there too).

i was on the phone with erica (vandyfan10) when i read this and you can ask her - i literally laughed out loud! :rotfl:

looks like they had a good time minus the rain and Brazilian tour groups.

Dark Knight was incredible. Heath did a fantastic job with it.

i agree!!! just sad that we won't be seeing him in anything else. :sad2:

will be back to respond more later....off to eat dinner!

I just wanted to jump in and wish you a happy belated birthday. We were out of town for the weekend, so I got a little behind.

thank you!!!!

Great TR! I'm mostly a lurker but I just had to write and tell you your pics are GREAT!!! Also to tell you a funny story. I was sitting here reading your TR and my son (who is 7) came in the room and was looking at your pics and after he saw a couple he said "They went to Disney - WITHOUT KIDS? That is against the law!!" :rotfl2: Then he saw the pic of your dessert with the Happy Anniversary on it and said "Well, I guess that's why they didn't get arrested, since it was their anniversary" :rotfl:

So you saw Sorcerer Mickey in the Animation Studios? Is that new? We went last September and it was only the Incredibles and Ratatouille. I hope he will be there in September, I would love to get pics with him!!!

Tammy

what your DS said is SO FUNNY!!!!! the things kids think!! :rotfl: tell him that the reason adults can go to disney without kids is because when people walk through the gates at any disney park (especially MK) they magically become a kid themselves.......no matter what! :goodvibes

i don't think the sorceror mickey area is new at DHS, but i'm not positive. when you come out of the first show, if you go straight you go to the ratatouille (which is now wall-e) set, to the right is the incredibles and to the left was sorcerer mickey.

It does look like they had a good time inspite of the rain like many others have said..........

:woohoo: Happy Belated Birthday :woohoo:

It looks like you had a wonderful dinner.

Thanks for the Ebert and Roeper review of "Dark Knight". It sounds like 2 thumbs up for sure.:thumbsup2

thank you!!!! ebert and roeper......:rotfl2:

Glad to hear Dark Knight was good! I saw Hancock today, which the jury is still out on. Although Will Smith is always nice to look at ;)

i agree! i haven't seen hancock yet though. i do love the scene in the previews where he thows the whale!

The Adventurer's Club looks like so much fun -- I am so sad that I won't make it down there before it closes. :(

i'm hoping to make it by there at least for a few minutes in september.....we'll just have to wait and see!

Hey that is cool about Mark Richt. Yes, there can definitely be really rude GA fans. I like to think I am not one of those, well unless you are a FL fan...hehe. :rotfl:

Oh and Happy Belated Birthday! When was it? My mom's was the 17th. Hope you had some great birthday plans!

yes, ray is a HUGE college football fan. i have to schedule things around football from september to december. in fact, when i was scheduled our disney trip in december i consulted with him first to make sure there were no major games that weekend!

thanks about my birthday! it was 7/18. :)

Her ride expressions are hilarious-especially on EE. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate with them. I LOVE the tink mug:thumbsup2 Great choice!

i love her expressions on the rides! she's just crazy.

Dawn, glad you had a great birthday dinner! I could just see the other patrons in the restaurant when you started taking food pron shots! :rotfl2:

yeah.....for some reason at disney i don't care about getting strange looks. but i didn't feel like people glaring at me in this nice, dimly-lit restaurant for taking pictures of my food!

Happy Belated Birthday Dawn... I am glad that you had a good time at Bone Fish.. I usually order the Tilapia. Very yummy.

i'll remember the tilapia next time! everything was so good and i'm sure the whole menu is great!

wow now if we could all write a TR from our vacations that fast...i felt like i just saw the who World, in less than 5 minutes.
:thumbsup2

great job on the recape, we are tlaking about doing a drink a country around epcot...thanks to your hubby, i have to get the sampler at Rose...and we want to get the margarita at Mexico,

 i think sharing drinks is a better idea! ray and i shared drinks at epcot (besides the beer) - otherwise we would've spent a fortune!

I thought I'd sorta hijack you TR for 5 seconds and show you what I ran into at the midnight opening on Thursday for Dark Knight. DH has been excited about the movie since the final credits rolled on Batman Begins in the theater the first time we saw it. Anywho, my wait included this:

hijack away! cute picture!!!!! i hear there's a new wall-e photo op where ratatouille used to be at DHS!

That was our building this trip - the green one to the right of Mickey.

I'm looking very forward to our Liberty Tree meal the day before Thanksgiving, and I'm especially glad to be getting it in before they remove the characters.

Thanks for sharing Brooke's pictures. There's fun to be had in spite of bad weather when you are in Disney World!

yeah, i knew you guys stayed somewhere around the mickey phone. i can't wait until erica and i are there in less than 2 months!!!!!! :cool1: she's so sweet - she sent me a super awesome shirt for my birthday. although i'm not going to tell you guys what it is becuase i want to wear it on the trip!

WOW take a weekend off from the DIS and look what happens 6 new pages on one of my favorite TRs :scared1: Your response to me was so far back I'm not even going to try and go find it to quote.

Lynn

i can't remember what my response was to you, either! :lmao: i may go back and find it just because now it's gonna bug me!

more often than not i'm within 20 miles of my home, which is nice. but every now and then i go further away. today i had a deposition in norcross. tomorrow i have a court hearing in elberton. so you can see.....i go everywhere! probably why my car has 130,000 miles on it!

Yeah, shark. For real. I don't know how much news you watch, but he was all over the news July 19, 2007. Honolulu, HI. If you google Harvey Miller shark bite, you'll find a whole lot of stuff. He was on Good Morning America and The Early Show. Life was crazy for a long time, but all is well now. Besides some wicked scars, knee pain and numbness, all is well. Sorry to go on.
So happy that Brooke and BF had a good time. Humor goes a long way when the windows of heaven open up everyday on vacation. :umbrella:
Thanks for the info on the Coral Reef. It didn't cost anything? I can't believe something was free at Disney! I'll definately be looking into that.:woohoo:

thanks about my birthday! it was 7/18. :)

I am the same when it comes to scheduling things around college football. When DM and I were at Disney in Decmeber, on Saturday she said, "Uh oh, you missed all the football games today." I said, "Season's over except for Bowl games, Ma!" LOL

My mom's was the 17th and Dad's was the 3rd. My ex's was the 12th. Crazy huh? Hope you had a great time!

Brooke's pictures came out great! It looks like she and Jon had a great time despte the rain. Thanks for sharing!

Looks like you had a great time...Your sisters pics are great...too bad for all the rain, that stinks...Did ray get buzzed at all with all that beer from Rose and Crown lol...id be on the floor drunk as heck. I love fish and chips there yummmmmy. Food is fun at disney.

hey, guys! i am trying to get my next installment together. i'm SWAMPED with work and i'm super busy this weekend, but i will try to post a short installment tomorrow or maybe even tonight - we will see! it's the end of the month and that always means i'm a busy bee at work!!!!

:thumbsup2 Loved Brooke's photos! You taught her well taking pics of the food and all. :lmao:

i will tell her you think so! she didn't take picture of every meal she had like i do, but i was impressed that she had ANY food pictures!

Just wanted to see what kind of camera you have? Your pics are awesome!

thanks! it's just a little sony cybershot. nothing fancy!

i googled it and oh my goodness!!!!!!!! how lucky he was! i'm so glad he's okay. i saw a video with you in it too.....you're very pretty! ;)

yep, the menu and diver were free. hard to believe, right? if you can't find the number just search for "coral reef diver" on the dis and i'm sure it'll be easy to find.

I sense the need to schedule a couple of date nights with DH in the near future -- one for Dark Knight and one for Bone Fish!

you do! you guys would love both, i'm sure!

If you do, take lots of photos and drink a Kungaloosh for me! :thumbsup2

i'm planning on the kungaloosh for sure if we go there!!!

Brooke's pictures came out great! It looks like she and Jon had a great time despte the rain. Thanks for sharing!

you're welcome! i'll tell her about all the compliments on her pics.

Thanks for sharing the pictures!!!!!!!!! Looks like fun!!!

you're welcome!

no worries - i'm busy right now so i feel your pain. i'm sure ray had a buzz but he was still coherent, believe it or not. the sampler beers are only 6 oz., so not a full-sized beer.
