our non-rushing (sorta) disney anniversary w/ PICS & VIDEO! new TR link - p. 136

:rotfl2: that's so hilarious!!! she does have a good bit of junk in her trunk, huh? don't you love the pose her mother took of her where you can probably see a little too much if you're standing in the wrong place? yeah....brilliant parenting there.
Yeah, the hair looks silly, but I'd probably be more concerned with the short shorts she had on. I'd never let my daughter out in shorts like that :scared: (even though I don't have any kids yet!). I'm very into modesty. I'm pretty horrible at Buzz's ride too. I think I managed 3 hits for all of the 100 shots I made :lmao:. Do you have to be on Barnstormer to see the sunken boat thing? I managed not to see it. I remember standing under the barnstormer sign like it was yesterday though. I never knew the train went through MTTF! I guess it was dark every time I've ridden.

It looks like Ray is getting attacked by Fozzy bear. :rotfl2:

I've never been to Toon Town! :confused3 Will have to remedy that this trip. Oy - those hair pieces are something. And yay for being rewarded for following the rules. :thumbsup2 I'm really liking the photo clues for the next update...popcorn::

Dawn great update. I have never done Goofy's Barnstormer either but I'm going to next time, we've got kids to hide behind :rotfl: although I would ride on it either way.

Barnstormer was something I have never heard of (guess it's because I don't have kids and never go into toontown) I have to ride it this year though and I have to see Minnie and Mickeys houses. I don't care if I am 26...I'm just a big kid and so is DF.

I went through Mickey and Minnie's house and even stood in line at the Judge's tent to take pictures with characters in Toontown when I was 26 (many years ago) with no kids. I would do it today with no kids too.

Honky tonk...badonkadonk......

what you gonna do with all the junk, all that junk inside your trunk...

:lmao: Good one :thumbsup2

Hey Dawn! I just got all caught up and your reports continue to be some of my favorites! Your pictures came out great, I love all the food porn! I always take pictures of our food at Disney and only Disney fans would think to do that... and then call it food porn :lmao: The dress you wore to walk around Epcot that night was so pretty :goodvibes Did Ray like Epcot that night? It's not only my favorite park but it's one of my favorite places in the world so I'm always trying to talk people into loving it :rotfl2:

Looking forward to more!

Biff rode it last year and he enjoyed it. I am afraid I might not fit. we will see.

It's so nice to get rewarded for doing the right thing......doesn't seem to happen often!:thumbsup2

I love the picture of you in Zurg's "cell"! I almost posed for that.......and then I had a vision of me getting stuck half in and half out.........I don't think the cm's are trained to deal with that!;)

i was kinda worried about that, too! i know i'm little up top but i do have these birthing hips and lots of junk in my trunk, as well. so it was a tight squeeze getting the lower half of my body through there!

I too am not a hairpiece fan... I hope my girls never want that!

Goofy's Barnstormer... I am jealous! I still have not been on that ride, next trip!

The kitchen at Minnie's house is cool. We could not get Emily out of there this trip, and we were in there twice!

i think the little girls that go to BBB and have the cute little buns on top of their head with a little crown and some glitter are SO adorable! i just don't like the fake hair, but that's just me. i wish we could've spent more time in minnie's kitchen but there SO MANY kids in there it would've been impossible for us to play with anything. :rotfl:

That pretzel and frozen drink look DELICIOUS! I want some right now!

That hairpiece...

I was just reading about Goofy's Barnstormer today in my Passporter and was thinking we should try it next time. And now after reading about it in your TR, it's on the list of definites!

wouldn't it be nice if we could have disney food shipped to our home? the barnstormer is a cute ride and it's fun to do it if you have no kids - makes you feel so silly! ray and i held up our hands and screamed the whole time.

That hairpiece! Did she lose a bet?:rotfl:
I'm with you on the "gotta try everything at Disney sometime" thing. I wasn't crazy about Barnstormer, but it was worth a try.

did she lose a bet!!! :lmao: that's great.

Yeah, the hair looks silly, but I'd probably be more concerned with the short shorts she had on. I'd never let my daughter out in shorts like that :scared: (even though I don't have any kids yet!). i hear ya on the short-shorts. i see so many dirty old men in court that i will NEVER let my daughter wear short-shorts because i know what pervs are out there. and no, you can see donald's boat from the main walkway too. it's a play area for kids. i think it may have some squirting fountains or something. there is a stop at toon town on the train, which is good to remember if you need to get across the park from there. the train stops at main street, frontierland and toon town. :thumbsup2

I've never been to Toon Town! :confused3 Will have to remedy that this trip. Oy - those hair pieces are something. And yay for being rewarded for following the rules. :thumbsup2 I'm really liking the photo clues for the next update...popcorn::

thanks! yeah, toon town is pretty cool. mickey and minnie's houses are neat and you can meet mickey in the judge's tent. also, in the toon town hall of fame they have a HUGE gift shop and you can get in line to meet lots of characters. last time we did this, one line was for minnie, goofy and pluto, one line was for donald, daisy and chip & dale, and one line was a princess line. when i met the princesses it was sleeping beauty, cinderella and belle, but i think those change.

Dawn great update. I have never done Goofy's Barnstormer either but I'm going to next time, we've got kids to hide behind :rotfl: although I would ride on it either way.

you'll like it, especially riding it with your kids. just throw your hands up in the air and scream!!! :scared1:

yeah, i think he liked it. but i won't say any more than that because he comments on it later in the report! popcorn:: thanks about my dress - $30 at marshall's! :thumbsup2

Biff rode it last year and he enjoyed it. I am afraid I might not fit. we will see.

if goofy can fit on it, you can! ;)

I really think they should get a CM in there to keep the crowds moving along. The past few times we've went, it's been so crowded and we weren't able to play either. Plus - it gets sweltering hot in there! You'd think Minnie could afford some air-conditioning!

If you had a tight squeeze, it's a good thing I didn't try it! They'd have had to get the crisco out to grease me!

Yes definitely another must!!!

ray on space mountain......

I LOVE this pic.....great!!! :thumbsup2

If the hairpiece matched it might not have been as bad...

good idea! we just weren't up for fighting that crowd! having a sugar daddy like mickey you'd think air conditioning wouldn't be a problem!!!

i wonder if anyone's ever gotten stuck in there!?!?

Yes definitely another must!!!

less than 70 days!!!! :cool1:

I LOVE this pic.....great!!! :thumbsup2

ray totally wasn't expecting that. beware of me with a camera on a ride! those are some of the best shots.

If the hairpiece matched it might not have been as bad...

very true! :confused3

The pretzel looks delicious!! I don't even like those that much. Are you going to WDW in 09?

love the update Dawn! Isn't Goofy's barnstormer the quickest ride ever?? I think its really fun but it actually made me nervous the first time i went on it. lol! no wonder i dont' do Tower of Terror LoL. ;)
Super cute rescue rangers shirt by the way!!!:goodvibes

Dawn! I'm finally caught up and loving your updates. It's so fun that you did some things you don't always do and just did what worked at the moment! I wanted to comment a little late on the poncho for Splash - we just rode Splash in DL and got totally soaked from head to toe - I mean there was water running up and down the boat and our feet were floating in it - not to mention my purse. We were out at night for a little "date night" during our trip. I have never gotten wet on this before, besides a little "splash." I will seriously think about the poncho next time - I was really glad that it wasn't cool or breezy that night - I hate to be cold - and I was really glad to have quick drying pants on - hate to have wet pants all day too.

I'm looking forward to the rest of your trip!popcorn::

they are very yummy.....you should try one next month!

as of right now, no. but you know how that goes. we really need to concentrate on saving money and starting a family. plus my sister is moving to connecticut in september and i'm sure i'll want to visit her early in '09. i've never been up north before (the farthest i've gotten is indiana) so i plan to spend a few days there my first time!

thanks! yeah, it's VERY quick......you blink and you miss it!

I see you have 2 tickers now :worship:

:cool2:

Great installment of the trip report Dawn!

That hairpiece was interesting!

thanks! those hairpieces crack me up!

thanks!!! sorry you got so wet on splash. we didn't get wet last year in may when we rode it, but last year in september i got SOAKED by the cannon at the bottom of the drop as you go by it. so i didn't want that to happen again!

How much pixiedust did you get :goodvibes First the SplashM FP's then the SpaceM pass too, how sweet of you to spread it around by giving away your BTMR ones :thumbsup2

after finishing up the comedy thing with some silly monsters, we decided it was time to do a little shopping and have a little break. by this time it was around 4:00 and we were in need of some rest. i think the air conditioning in the monster's laugh floor made ray sleepy!

so we headed towards main street to do some shopping and took a few pics along the way.......

DSC04554.jpg

we eventually ended up in another art store......go figure. i love this painting......maleficent is so awesome in it!

DSC04555.jpg

ray bought this pin while we were shopping.

Picture022-1.jpg

now the only one he had left to buy was an epcot one and we were going there tomorrow night for illuminations.

i also found some really pretty peter pan figurines. i just loved them. ray convinced me to buy them to start a collection. at first i didn't want to spend the money, but he convinced me that it was a great collection to start - something i'm passionate about and something i can add to every time i come back to disney. a husband that encourages me to spend money  ......i know you ladies are jealous! :lmao: the figurines are from the disney traditions collection designed by jim shore. the set that i ended up getting includes peter pan, tinker bell and captain hook/mr. smee. they also had a wendy, john and michael one but i just couldn't justify buying all 4. i will add something to my collection every time i go back and eventually these may end up in my future child's room. i didn't buy them that day because i knew we'd be back on friday. and besides ray didn't have his credit card with him. i took pictures of them later (after i got them back to the resort) and i'll post those at the appropriate time.

we found a little bench outside a store in one of the alleys on main street and just relaxed for a little while. i noticed that i kept hearing music and a tapping sound, so i looked up and saw this.....

DSC04557.jpg

see that sign that says, "music and dance lessons"? underneath it, it says "tap." so i guess we were hearing someone having tap dancing lessons upstairs! how cool is that???? :goodvibes

i love all the little details on main street. this looks like someone's apartment or something...

DSC04558.jpg

i wanted to go to tinker bell's treasures to get another tink charm since i had lost mine at OKW last september, so we got up to head that way. it was around 4:30 and we had ADRs at LTT at 5:05, so we had just enough time. as i got up i turned around to see this duck staring at me and it kind of scared me! :rotfl:

DSC04559.jpg

took this on the way to tink's treasures......

DSC04560.jpg

the show in front of the castle was going on as we headed in that direction. we watched the whole thing last year, so we just paused to watch a couple of minutes this time.

DSC04561.jpg

because of the show going on, we couldn't go straight through the castle, so we went around it to the right. i got some good pictures out of our detour though!

DSC04562.jpg

DSC04563.jpg

you'd think that ray would pay attention and get the entire wishing well in the picture!

DSC04564.jpg

had to stop in sir mickey's to see the giant......

DSC04565.jpg

i found the cutest tinker bell charm at tink's treasures - you'll see it later on. i wore it the next two days of our trip. i noticed this on the wall as i was checking out.....i hadn't noticed it before!

DSC04566.jpg

when we came out of tink's treasures, it was about 4:55 so we started heading towards LTT. as we came out of there i saw the fairy godmother!!! i had never seen her before and i had to meet her. thankfully, the line was short and it was only a couple of minutes until i met her. she's very sweet......and shiny!
