And hey Dawn, guess what! You know your Chip & Dale top that I loved? I finally went to the Hot Topic website the other day to order it, and oh-oh! It was sold out!!

But alas... I did a search on ebay, and found it on there! Phew! And I got it for half the price! Yay! So I had to buy a few other tops from the seller too. Hehee.

wow......good find on ebay! and that's cool that you got more shirts, as well. that tuna was unbelievable. if you like tuna, definitely get it when you go.

That steak, potatoes, and broccoli dinner looks like a meal I could eat for the next five nights in a row without getting tired of it. It looks delicious!!! If I ever go there, there is no doubt what I will order.

SO TRUE! dinner and breakfast at kona have both been great for me! i'm sure you'll love dinner. just FYI - i got the filet last year and it was wonderful, too! i think sometimes the CMs are too by the book - you just have to hope you get one that knows the ropes. but at least they are usually very nice and polite - usually.

Well, when we go on our trip in November, she is staying home with my parents. I don't know why his mom doesn't want to take her. She is 56 years old and wants to party like she is 21 so she wants to just take us. Which, my parents said that is fine. They are going to take her to our lake house in Alabama which she loves!! So, that means I am hitting up the Poly to get me a lapu lapu before our luau on Nov. 12th!!!
Then I am going to try the back scratcher, then the macaw drink, then I will hit up the bar outside the luau!!

i'm glad we weren't riding the TTA with a bunch of teenagers.....might've seen some stuff we didn't want to! i don't know if the lapu got smaller, but it still did the trick.

Anyway I enjoyed the ride on the TTA. Thanks for that. The only thing that could make it better would be a frozen margarita stand right next to the platform. Just sayin.

Do you remember me saying that last year I rode the TTA alone while the kids did SM and when I got to the loading area, I was the kids getting into their rocket? Very cool.

I am SO getting the Tuna Oscar at Kona this time. I've had it picked out for months. I'm glad you gave it the thumbs up.

yep, you can do no wrong with that tuna. two thumbs up! thanks about my hair. i like it too except that i have to get it cut more often now. i got it cut in early april, then once again before i left for disney and i'm going back thursday to get it cut again. we rode the TTA on friday night with luke while anna and chris rode space mountain. i was hoping we'd see them, but we didn't. cool that you saw your kiddos! oh, and i'm off to write an e-mail request to disney about the margarita stand on the TTA.

Love the Kona pics Dawn! I showed them to Ray and we are definitely eating there in Dec. We usually stick to buffets b/c DH has a large appetite but he agreed to try it!!

ray will love either the strip or the filet, i think. both were good. if he likes wings i've heard the sticky wings are good too. we're not wing fans so we've never gotten them. i'm sure you guys will love it!

LOVE the video of the TTA..hearing that music as you went through SM makes me want to drive down there right now! I miss it!!!
That tuna oscar looked AMAZING!!! I will certainly be trying that puppy next time we go down ...I also love Kona, even more than Narcoosees actually..the food is so good!

Dawn great update. Love the video of TTA, I love that ride, nice and relaxing. It's great when you go through Space Mountain and hear everyone screaming. I am so going to Kona and getting what Ray had to eat and what you had to drink . Can't wait to see if Ray enjoyed Spectro, I cry when I even see a video of it. Hope he gets his bracelet and you get to see tink.

thanks! we rode it with luke on friday night and when we went through space mountain he kinda freaked out and said, "i don't want to ride that." i told him not to worry....he wasn't gonna ride it. you'll love kona! sorry i won't have any video of spectro this time. i filmed it when i was there in september so this time i just took pics and ray just sat and watched it.

My DH loves Paramore. I told him you went to the concert and he's jealous.

oh, you guys MUST see them if they come to your area. they're AMAZING live. it was one of those shows that you just totally don't expect to be as good as it ends up being. my sister saw them in nashville the next day and said they were awesome there, too, so i think it's consistent. it's definitely worth the ticket price. i think tickets here were something like $26.

We visit the Poly at least 3 times for food. We always go to 'Ohana for breakfast and dinner. This will be the first time we go to Kona for breakfast - I need to try Tonga Toast! Kona dinner looked really good, too...maybe I need to change that to 4 times.

i've done ohana for dinner and foodwise kona is WAY better in my opinion. i found the meat at ohana to be dry and icky. and the atmosphere at ohana was way too chaotic for me. i like it quiet, but that's just my opinion. breakfast at kona is great, too. i went there last september and had tonga toast and it was GOOD!!!

i totally see michael hutchence in david c., but moreso in michael johns. he was one of my favs and i can't believe he got voted off when he did!

i wasn't going to update tonight because i'm watching the finale of AI and i have a lot to do before i leave town, but i couldn't leave you guys hanging all weekend! yes, you can worship me now. i'm totally kidding.

by the way, i'm leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to nashville for a few days to see the family and go to an old friend's bachelorette party. i'm planning on meeting vandyfan and memom on sunday!!!! i'm so excited - another dismeet!

so when i left you ray and i had scored pretty good seats for spectro across from the fire station. about 5 minutes before the parade started, a high school band came out and marched the parade route. this little girl next to me looked at her mom and goes, "was that it?" it was cute.

promptly at 9:00 the parade started. this is my first attempt at taking spectro pictures since last time (which was my first time seeing it) i just videotaped the whole thing. it's not easy getting decent pics! anyway, this is what i ended up with.

everyone thinks these guys are creepy, but i think they're cool!

of course the parade was amazing, as always. ray really enjoyed it and i'm so glad he got to see it. i just love the music!

after the parade ended, we swam upstream towards city hall. let me tell ya....it was fun fighting that crowd!

we told the CM at city hall that ray didn't have his room key and that she would need to look up our reservation so he could get a wrist band. she told us to go outside to the CM in the plaid vest. so we go out there and there's a CM there handing out wrist bands, but with no computer and no way to check our reservation. i'm thinking....great! anyway, we go up to her and explain the situation and she just smiles and gives ray a bracelet. so all that for nothing!!!

we then walked through the emporium to avoid the crowd on mainstreet. we were on our way to somewhere near the hub to get a spot for wishes!

i wanted to go over to fantasyland like memom had told me about, but we didn't quite make it over there before we decided to stop. we ended up on the pathway through the rose garden. the spot wasn't terrible, but they kept the path lit so that kind of took away from the fireworks a little. it was amazing to watch people wait until the last minute to get a spot for the fireworks.....don't they know?????

this female CM came walking down the path at one point screaming "FIREWORKS" and jumping around. i think she was on the dream team. it was really cute and i can totally see why she got that job!

by the time wishes started the wind had picked up a little bit. i was hoping it wouldn't be a repeat of last year when tink didn't fly! but i got some pixie dust that night and she flew.......right over my head! it was AWESOME!!!!! i saw her last september but we were at the far end of main street so it was kinda hard to see anything other than a bright green dot flying through the sky!

of course i made ray video it. here's what he got. at first he lost her but then he got a great video of her!!! although he seemed to have concentrated on her back side there at the end. listen for a guy standing near us to yell out, "yeah, tinkerbell!!!"



i also attempted to get a shot of her. i've seen worse!

oh, and check this out. this little girl was laying out in the MIDDLE of the rose garden. i swear she was asleep! i don't understand why her parents let her go out there. again, another reason why people should have to take a test before they have children.

after wishes we decided to go take a nighttime ride on the teacups. so much fun!

this is one of my favorite videos of the trip. when ray gives me the camera, he starts spinning the teacup REALLY fast, way faster than i expected! last year we didn't spin half that fast and he started getting dizzy, so i don't know what possessed him to do this this time. you can hear me screaming for him to stop, but i just love how he's laughing in the video. at one point i say, "what the h*ll is wrong with you? i can't record this. i'm cussing."
