Our New House

I love the front porch!! We're starting to build our new house as well & I have a question for ya What are the columns on the front porch made of (and the railings)? Is that a painted wood or is it the new plastic kind of stuff that never needs painting? Right now we a porch with all wood & it's a **** to paint & touch up!!

chris1-I honestly have no idea what the porch is made of. Sorry.

Wish-I've already got the spot for the pool, but that is a couple summers down the road.

Marla-I'm hoping we have some excellent grass planters in dh's new church because the grass is up to us!

I love the front porch, dh loves the fireplace! And all those windows! Our house now is so dark because of small windows. I'm excited about the decorating.

I'm trying to decide which bathroom will be my Mickey Bathroom! I think I need a trip to WDW to that Home store! LOL!!!

Love the house. That porch is to die for and is screaming for some rocking chairs from Cracker Barrel!!!!!!!!!

Oh by the way...if you decide to lay sod instead of grass seed...spend the extra money to have someone ELSE lay it!!!! We were in the same situation two years ago. Brand new house no grass. We layed the sod ourselves and the first pallet was fun but after that it was WORK!!!!!! We layed 25 pallets of sod just dh and me with a lttle help from my then 3 year old dd!!!! The last few pallets a friend of my dh's helped and then we knew he was truly a friend!!!
