Howdy Scott!

I too saw it on the travel channel last week! I started researching it and WOW do they do a lot for you!!!!

It is FOR SURE a major splurge but you recently did Disney with 3 older kids... imagine a little princess :lmao:

that would be a blessing only one child next to the horrors I took. :lmao: I told them if I take them back it would be individually. :)

That is my plan... I guess as I am the mom and have to live with them 24/7 I saw the nightmare it would be if I took all 3 by myself :lmao:
I bet their mom did the "Risky Business" dance all through the house the moment you left :rotfl2:

The boys are going to have a wonderful time camping with the boy scouts... getting filthy dirty each day... swimming in mud infested lakes and in general just being boys in the woods with their best buds.
Now, Savannah and I don't find that type of outing much fun :rotfl2:
I saw the chance to have an all girl week with my princess and grabbed it!

The only worry part is me being her only source of entertainment the entire week.... I have to be her best bud, her mom, her disney planner.... shoot at least with all 3 kids there they had someone else to talk to or bug :lmao:
I will be lucky if I get 5 minutes alone in the bathroom :rotfl2:

I just found your pre-TR again; somehow I haven't been getting my email notices since they're all going to spam. Sounds like you've been doing a lot of planning! Cute dresses for the birthday girl, too!

Camping--yuk! I'd rather hear about your GF trip! (DH comes from a camping family, all the way from tents to giant motor homes. I've had to squelch that in him.:rolleyes1 )

Hi Brook! Your WDW plans sound wonderful! :cloud9: You will have such a great time at the GF. We love it there. I'm taking my daughters on a girls only trip this summer, too. :goodvibes

Can't wait to read more!

Thanks Michelle!

Don't get me wrong, I love my boys DEARLY... they are mama's boys. It's just very different doing my first all girl mother/daughter adventure!!!!
I have 2 older sons so when Savannah FINALLY came along it was the first time I could do GIRLIE things!!!! The day she was born I started planning little girlie special outings... just the 2 of us. This is our VERY FIRST mother daughter trip and we are REALLY READY to go... like yesterday :lmao:

For those of you who like little girl dresses... this is what I have for Savannah for our trip! She is going to be ADORABLE... and they sure beat those frilly heavy costumes that itch like mad :rotfl2:

I wanted to re do my pre trip report as so much has changed since I first started it
SOOOO here is the updated version of the plans:

June 14~ we are flying to MCO and will be there 9am in the morning. We are taking DME from MCO to the GF and checking in to the sugar loaf building.
From there we are going to head out to MK so Savannah can make her all important wish at the castle and hopefully ride a ride or two. We will be eating dinner at 1900 park fare. They know it's her birthday so I am "Guessing" they will do something a little extra special but not counting on it. After supper we are going back to our room where I have ordered and paid for something special for her. Peggy (from Peggy's sweet's and more) is going to decorate the room in a Cinderella theme. She has ordered a SF cinderella cake and also a huge gift basket full of cindy birthday goodies for Savannah.
We will relax and retire for the night....

June 15~ Either we will eat breakfast in the concierge lobby or order room serivce. After getting ready and eating, we will be heading out to AK for rope drop. I am hoping to snag a FP to ride EE at least once this trip. As we rode it 8 times in Feb it won't be a great loss if we miss it though.
Savannah HATES Dinosaur so that is one line I won't have to worry about. Our 1 and only MAJOR goal is to see the Nemo show this day. As long as we get in to see Nemo we are good :thumbsup2 we missed it in Feb and she really wanted to see it :guilty:
For the afternoon we will head back for a break at the hotel... either to swim or to do some shopping. We do have dinner ADRS for Yak and Yeti's so we will head back to AK for dinner. After that, we will play it by ear but most likely head back to the GF to relax and hit the bed early.

June 16~ Again either RS breakfast or lounge... We have booked the VIP tour guide service for Epcot this day. We are supposed to meet up with our guide at 9am.
From there I am hoping for a magical day at Epcot but am letting the guide do the planning. Savannah MUST ride TT as its her fav ride in all the world:rolleyes1 I am also not wanting to focus on the WS, we spent 3 days in the WS in Feb. We have late lunch ADRS for Garden Grill. Savannah loves the munks here and is looking forward to this lunch!
The guide will be with us for 6 hours. After we split from her, we are going to head back to the resort to swim in the pool the rest of the afternoon. We will most likely hit the grill for dinner or RS dinner... depending how we feel.

June 17~ Again breakfast is either RS or lounge..
We are planning on DHS for the day and getting there for rope drop. We aren't in any great quest or rush this day. We will be with the VIP on the 19th in this park. We will try to get on TOT or RNR once most likely and Little mermaid show, which she missed in Feb :headache:
Other than that, we are just going to wander the sites, enjoy ourselves and not be in any rush to get anywhere... just taking in the magic.
When we have had enough or just want to hit the pool, we are going back to the resort for the afternoon. We have dinner ADRS for Ohana's and my brothers family is going to meet up with us at some point and go to dinner with us.
We will most likely walk around the poly, taking in the sites. After dinner, we will head back to the GF and relax and hit the hay as we have a BIG day tomorrow...

June 18~ We will wake up SUPER DANG BLASTED FLIPPIN EARLY to make it to CRT for 8am breakfast. It puts us in MK before opening so I am hoping to get some great pics of Savannah on main street. I may still be in my PJs at CRT though :rotfl:
After breakfast, we are meeting our VIP tour guide at the castle. She is planning our entire day around Savannah's magicial day. I did give the guide some of Savannah's FAV rides but today I just want to accomplish the most magical memories possible for her. We have a late lunch at LTT. After we ditch the Guide we will go back to the resort to rest or swim. We also have late dinner ADR's at LTT. I am hoping Savannah won't be so beat tired that she misses the dinner :lmao: if we are just SOOO tired we can't move I will call and cancel it and we will do RS dinner.

June 19~ Breakfast is RS or lounge... We meet our VIP guide for 9am at DHS. I made sure the guide understood one of our main goals is to get front row seating at the Beauty and the Beast show. Savannah has been dying to see this show and in Feb her brother's out voted her. :rolleyes1 She also wants to see the INDY show as its another of her Favs. The guide can suprises us with the rest of the day. I did give her a list of Savannah's FAV things at DHS so hopefully it will go well. We have lunch ADRS for 50's prime time cafe. We always get a kick out of this place! After we ditch the guide, we will head back to the pool and relax. Either RS dinner or the grill.

June 20th ~ we have early adrs for the lilo and stitch breakfast. I am hoping we can get it in gear early enough to make the ADR :rotfl:
We are then heading off to AK for the day. Our main goal this day is to try and grab a FP for EE and to see the Lion King show. In the afternoon we have the safari private tour thingy. It sounds really cool and I am looking forward do seeing the safari at a slow pace in air conditioning with no lines!!! After our safari tour we are heading back to the resort. We have ADR's for Les Ceiller's so most likely no swimming this afternoon! We will take a short rest and then head to Epcot for dinner. After dinner, we will play it by ear... I won't be in any rush to go to any certain place.

June 21~ our last day :sad1: We will check out of the resort and hand out luggage over to bell services. We have 9:30 am ADR's for Chef Mickeys. After breakfast, we will continue over to MK using the monorail. We will take in the sites and wander around MK for the morning. We have lunch ADR's for Tony's towne square. After lunch we will make 1 more wish at the castle and head back to the resort. We will meet up with DME and head to MCO around dinner time. We have a later flight so no big rush on our part. Then its HOME we go .....

I know I haven't planned it to the minute but at least I have a general idea where and when we will be. I have found the most magical moments at WDW were the ones that were not planned... so I am planning for those :rotfl:
We were there just a few months ago so its no biggie if we miss something... I am sure in missing something we will gain something :goodvibes

the plans look really great. she is going to have a great time.

It sounds like you are going to have a blast. I would like to hear how the VIP tour guiding goes. From what I've heard, it should be quite an experience.

So far they have been wonderful in emails.
I will tell you I was really nervous about hitting the parks with the summer crowds with just Savannah and I. Two years ago we had the most tramatic experience at US :sad2:
Her and I were in line (without DH) for the Earthquake ride. Well they put everyone in a room, show a show and then you move to the next room. Savannah and I just happened to be by the door... didn't mean to be... well the doors opened and my 4 year old little angel was trampled... I mean seriously tramped on. People just stepped on her! She came out of the ordeal with 6 big bruises :sad1:
I never screamed or went into crazy mommy mode before but let me tell you... I was a MAD WOMAN trying to get to her :thumbsup2
The employee just looked at us and said: oops sorry
:sad2:
She was so tramatized by this she slept in my bed for the next week! I am not a over protective crazy kind of mommy but that was the scariest thing I have ever had happen to me!

With that thought ALWAYS and FOREVER in the back of my mind I was worried about Disney with the same summer crowds. I know Disney is good about keeping kids safe but I can't help but worry with what happened to us.

The VIP Tour Guide will ensure we will have fun and be safe. Just that peace of mind makes it magical for us. I am not going to have to constantly worry about Savannah being hurt. People in theme parks can be NUTS! :scared1:

That is crazy!! I don't have children yet, but I know how protective I am and it's a good thing I wouldn't have been in the same situation b/c I would have returned six bruises to each of the people who decided to trample a child ... of all rides.

That story reminds me of when I was younger and at a Mardi Gras parade (I was born and raised in NOLA). This older woman pushed me to the ground when I was trying to pick up a bead. Skinned up my knee. They weren't even pearls, just those junkie clear beads that kids like. I told my mom what happened ... thank god she couldn't find the person who did it because she may have retaliated a bit too much ... lol. But that experience was seriously traumatic for me and I didn't want to go to a parade for years after that. It happened when I was 5 or 6 and I didn't want to go to a parade again til I was a teenager and all my friends were going.

That's a smart idea to get the VIP guide ... no worries about being trampled by the crazy summer crowds and causing another traumatic memory for your daughter.

Mardi Gras can be nuts! We actually went to Disney this mardi gras time around. Don't get me wrong I LOVE MARDI GRAS but it has gotten so out of hand its not even fun now. I can't take my kids to the parades like I used to... too many college drunk kids. :sad2:

My brother as a teenager broke my dad's fingers at a parade... it was hysterical.... they were "fighting" for trinkets and being silly.. my dad grabbed a bead and my teenage brother stomped on his hand to try and take it and in the process broke 2 of his fingers :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
we were in the ER CRACKING UP ... they must have thought we were the nutso family.
My family is conservative and not crazy wacky in ANY WAY..well mostly :rolleyes1 .... we were just being silly and BANG daddy got his fingers broke :rotfl2:

We would always travel for Mardi after it started getting so crazy. It was the best time to go to Disney and the rest of the parks in the area because the weather is great (not to hot, not too cold), the lines were relatively short, and, as a child, there was no comparison between Disney and Mardi Gras. Let's see .... Mardi Gras with drunks, traffic, crazy people, and no place to go to the bathroom or Disney with Mickey, character breakfasts, rides, and the list goes on.

DD and I are taking my mom this Mardi Gras. DD is out of school for the week and I teach kindergarten so we are out also. Cant wait!

Actually I live in Slidell so our Mardi Gras is not TOO crazy but I have been to St Charles and gotten an eye full!:scared1: LOL!
