We are planning for 2007 but I wanted to know about crowds the first week of March (our March/spring break) We are on the east coast of Canada, most March/Spring breaks are later in the month around here and neighboring provinces. What do you think? It's before most Spring breaks in the US and Easter so do you think the crowds are down? What's the weather like around this time?

When I have been in March I found the crowds really picked up toward the second week, like around the 10-13th.

Weather can be very unpredictable during March. Usually shorts weather for us northerners, but possibly only between the mid sixties to mid seventies.

Since most spring breaks are the end of March/first of April you should be ok with crowds, but weather during that time of year can be very unpredictable....

We've been to WDW the first week in March 4 or 5 times and will be in 2006. I'd call the crowds 'Moderate' as compared with mid Nov. and the first week in Jan., the other times we've been there. Our strategy is to hit the EE park at rope drop and enjoy the major attractions before 30 + min. lines develop. FastPass helps. By 12:30 or 1 pm we've had our fill and the lines will be 30 - 45 mins for things like Splash Mnt. R'n Rollercoaster and ToT, so we hop to Epcot where it rarely seems crowded. If it's just the two of us, we don't bother with PS and we usually get seated for dinner in less time than it takes to down a pint, so we have a drink and take the pager to be notified. When the whole extended family of 10 are along, PS is a must. The weather is great, especially coming from a dreary PA winter. Highs in the 75- 85 range with one morning low of 49 in 5 weeks of vacationing there and it got warm enough to do Kali River that day. I agree that crowds are noticeably larger as the first week ends but I never knew if it was because of a general increase as March goes on or if crowds are bigger from Wed. to Sat. as opposed to Sun. to Wed.

I was in WDW thw first week in March earlier this year. I left swearing I'll NEVER go back in the summer ever again! We were there 3/5-3/12, and never waited on line more than 20 minutes. We stated at the ASMovies and the buses were great also, never waited too long. We didn't use Fast Pass until our last day in the parks- 3/11- when kids from a cheerleading competition arrived. Even then, we just used it once in Epcot for Test Track.

I was there in March a few years ago with an ex- a trip I have blocked out of my mind-that time we experienced similar crowds, but the weather was COLD. This year the weather was perfect. A little chilly in the early morning and evenings, so I always had a sweatshirt around my waist. I wore capri pants and t shirts all week, and my DH wore shorts a few times. It only rained once- one entire day- and it was cold, upper 50s. But I would say the daytime temps were generally mid 70's to low 80s. It was perfect!
