Own 3 in Louisville. According to the news, even if the group does declare bankruptcy...the mall will still be open. Store leases will be honored. The individual stores in the mall shouldn't change too much, either.
OT (KINDA):The story right after it was about consumer spending being down & it is supposed to be down even more in 2009. Projecting a slow Christmas season. No joke. They went from a story about the Ford Assembly and Truck plants being shut down for December, Yum foods getting rid of corporate workers, to the mall bankruptcy story, to the falling economy story. Then the one anchor (with a straight face) goes "Do you think this will affect the Christmas sales?" The other anchor just looked at him for the longest time & then goes "Probably.
