Our Magical WDW Adventure -24 Days of Food and Fun-Updated 3/8 -Come Join Us

Hi Ariel!
I just found your pretrippie! You are going to love Disney in May, so beautiful! It will be fun to read your trip report when you get back. :surfweb:
I have to say that the picture of your 2 cats hugging is so adorable! They look so sweet! I enjoyed your Cornwall pictures, but I have to ask you a very strange American question... what in the world is a jacket potato? :sad2: I am guessing it is a baked potato??? Anyway, keep up the writing!

Heya, glad you joined. We spent a while choosing the time of year we were going to go and when we booked it I didnt even realise it was the Flower Festival at Epcot so can't wait to see that.

Yes Tigger and Scamp are so cute. As I write now they are both sitting there, Scamps curled up on Nick talking away to him about ANTM :rotfl: And yes you were right about the jacket potato, its a baked potato. I forget that some things are called different names, like when we had fish and chips I guess I should have said fish and fries and in my favorite foods I should have said potato chips. I will have to remember that for my trip report :thumbsup2

Wow, you really do have so many confirmations and tickets to keep up with! You must be really organized! I'm really enjoying your pics on here too! :goodvibes

Well I haven't managed to sort out all the tickets and confirmations yet, I got distracted by Friends and then ANTM and now we are sitting down with a glass of wine watching How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days... I love that film :lovestruc. I did manage to print out the list of all the tickets and confirmations I need though. I have also ordered 2 new memory cards and 2 new batteries for my camera so I'm getting there :thumbsup2.

As I was watching ANTM I decided to try my hand at making some itinerary cards for each day of our holiday... they are looking quite good so far, even if I do say so myself.

I am now going to start my finish my shopping and packing lists, see you soon

Congratulations, you took the hard step and came out to join us, now there is no going back :lmao:

Oh more people there at the same time, where are you staying? I'm hoping that its only us Dis lot there else it may be majorly busy and we dont want that do we?:sad2:

There are a lot of lovely places in England, luckily I was brought up in a really lovely place and we holidayed to Cornwall (the place in the pics) every year. But it isn't half as varied and interesting as the US, I hope I get to visit all over the US, its definitely one of my aims.

I'm hoping I've got some more lurkers out there and there going to come and join us soon too :thumbsup2. Come on lurkers, dont be shy....

We are staying at ASMu. I am so excited about this trip and so impatient. It it hard to sit still :Pinkbounc <<<<<<<<<<<<me off the walls....:rotfl: Lots of us Disers:thumbsup2. I too wish it were only us Disers. :wizard:<<<If only he could make that wish come true :lmao:

Looking forward to getting the trip started.

Well not long now for either of us. I am the same, bouncing off the walls all the time :jumping1:. I'm not very patient at the best of times, let alone with Disney World. And your staying onsite too... we loved ASM so sure your going to have a fab time.

You are so funny about the potatoes! I have a friend from Australia and sometimes we just look at eachother wondering what the other said! :confused3 Same language different meanings! :rotfl: We have been at Disney the past two years in May and just loved it. The crowds weren't too bad, we used the fastpasses a lot. The gardens at Epcot were just amazing. I guess it was all amazing, everything is so perfectly kept at Disney. We had a good laugh going over the International Gateway back to the Boardwalk one night, there were the loudest bullfrogs singing their hearts out, spring must have been in the air!

The first time we went Soph and I thought the term restroom was so funny. We would always joke around about "oh I need the restroom now", "Are you ok, you look like you need the restroom". Then when we got back to England we had it so in our heads we couldn't get out of using the term, people would look at us really strangely :rotfl: .

Glad to hear May is good, I was beginning to worry. We will be walking back to the Yacht club via the International Gateway so will keep an eye out for those bull frogs.

Now since I am trying to get everything sorted for our trip and I'm trying to get all the paperwork and tickets organized I thought I would get them sorted into a holiday file. Now I have brought 2 lovely Mickey Mouse files and cant choose which one to use. The first file I saw and loved so brought it straight away. However it is a very hard material and therefore is quite inflexible when trying to fit into my hand luggage. I decided to look for another one and found one, very similar but its plastic and more lightweight. So which one do I use:

The first file

Ahh both of the file folders are so cute! I want one! LOL.

Yes there both really cool, thats why I can't choose :confused3. I have a diary and photo box to match the first one, they were 3 for 2 so it would have been rude not to get them all ;).

I'm sure you have plenty of cool folders over there to make up for the 2 we have over here... its quite hard to find Disney stuff outside of the Disney Store.

I like the brown one the most! :thumbsup2

I like the brown one best.

Thanks guys, I do love the brown one, but it is kind of heavy so I'm not sure :confused3

Anyway I'm doing quite well with my To Do list, yesterday I managed to sort out all our confirmations and tickets, type up a packing list and even manage to persuade Nick to make some Mousekeeping envelopes... and believe me he is taking the job very seriously :cool1:

:thumbsup2 Pictures when he is done please.

Yes definatly. He's so funny doing them, when he finishes one he shows me and then says "Oh its rubbish isn't it". The thing is they are actually good, surprising as he has not done or been interested in doing anything like this before. Last night when I was trying to sort everything else he kept bugging me asking me what he could do (believe me he is never normally this helpful :sad2:), so I gave him a job to make a sign for the car folder to separate certain things. So he did and then looked so pleased with himself so I put him on the Mousekeeping job. I dont know how long his interest will last though :rotfl:

Hey girl!!

I just now got caught up!! I can't believe you will be going soon!!!!!:cool1:

I also prefer the brown one, but understand the problem it poses for travel.
Why not use the white one for your carry on, and for use throughout the actual trip(s) The brown one can hold much more stuff, maybe from multiple trips, to keep menus/momentos/souvenirs etc that you wont keep for scrapbooking or crafts, but would like to keep none-the-less.

They are both very cute, btw.

Heya, glad your caught up, I cant believe its less than 3 weeks now  . The time has gone pretty quickly thinking about it, I started at 10 months and now its only 2 1/2 weeks :thumbsup2

Thanks I think thats a good idea. I always have loads of bits and bobs left over which I cant bring myself to chuck away but don't really have anywhere to put. It can be my holiday keepsake folder and over the years I can keep all my WDW bits in. When I get chance I will post a picture of my photo box, its for all the spare photo's that dont go in my albums.

Hi Ariel,
What a smart idea having this accordian folder, I wish we had done that! I brought a pocket folder and it was so stuffed by the time we went home it was hard to close! It was great to have all of those little things to make the scrap books more fun to look at.
By the way, I asked my Aussie friend if she knew what a jacket potato was and she looked at me with a funny face as if I had asked her something quite obvious. She said of course! Our American friend who was with us said, what is that??! We all had a great laugh over the whole thing. Thank you for this new term! :thumbsup2
