August 17, 2007.... up at 2:45am to get ready to leave for the airport by 4am. Of course I only got 2 hours of sleep since I was up til almost midnight packing and then was just too excited to close my eyes!!!! :rotfl:  We wake our girls up @ 3:30 and we're out the door by 4am.... we flew SWA out of Providence and our flight was ontime (Departed @ 7:05am) and arrived in MCO around 10am. Jack, our driver from Tiffany Town Car, picked us up on time as always! We stopped at Publix to get 2 cases of bottled water. I vex over whether or not to get breakfast items... I opt not to (thank goodness as we have a surprise waiting for us at the YC!)....

We arrive @ the YC just before 11:30. I go to check in as DH wanders around the lobby with our 2 girls (7 and 4.5) This is our 8th time at the YC (or BC) since our honeymoon in 1994... DH won't stay anywhere else... :rotfl: The CM checking me in is just going along the standard room routine when she stops and looks twice at her computer screen. She looks at me and tells me it appears we've gotten an upgrade.... my hands are sweating... she asks me if I'm familiar with the Regatta Club?!?!?? I'm stunned. Never have we gotten an upgrade before!!!!! Not only an upgrade... but to concierge!!!!!  I try not to scream out for joy... it is quite an elegant lobby to have that type of reaction. Besides, my throat is tight trying to hold back the tears of joy so I'm sure no scream would make it out anyway! :rotfl: :rotfl: She tells me that it's a very nice upgrade (I KNOW! :) ) and activites our room keys.... the room is not ready yet, but bell services is holding our baggage. I go off to find DH. Trying to remain composed. I tell him about the upgrade and he's surprised and thrilled! Our girls of course are completely oblivious.... :rotfl: THANK YOU to the person who got us bumped up!!!! :) :goodvibes

We head over to the BC side since we have time to spare. We see Art and he gives my older DD with the bday button on a pin to start her trading with since it's her bday trip :) We then meet Teena-another greeter in the BC lobby... she's incredibly sweet and the epitome of a Disney cast member!!! She also gives each of my girls a pin to start trading with   My older DD ended up taking a liking to both Teena and Art very much since they were really the first CM's she interacted with on the trip and kept asking to go back and visit with them again throughout the week :rotfl:

We went to lunch @ Beaches and Cream... split the No Way Jose :) :) 4 ways since we have a 5pm dining reservation @ Le Cellier-didn't want to get too stuffed!

After lunch we visited with Lilo and Stitch in the BC lobby before heading into Epcot. We get our fastpasses for Soarin' w/ a return time for 6:51-7:51. Perfect! We can ride it after dinner! We ride Journey into Imagination and then go to Club Cool (my DD's love that.. ick :rotfl: ) The girls decided that it would be great to just get soaked in the jumping water fountains outside of Imageworks. We let them as it's pushing 97 degrees.... :rotfl: After that, we decide to head back to the YC and see if our room is ready so we can freshen up.

We get back and I call from the phone in the lobby.... room 5812 is ready for us!

We use the special key on the elevator to access the 5th floor..... I tell my DD to pinch me because I can't believe we're here!!!!!

Our room is overlooking the main entryway of the YC. It has a massive balcony that is shared by 3 other rooms. I discover the following night that if you sit out there at 10pm, you can see Wishes perfectly!!! :woohoo: :goodvibes :cheer2: How very wonderful!

The girls put some dry clothes on and we check out the club lounge.... snacks at the moment (cookies, lemonade, Evian, sodas, mixed nuts, goldfish, etc). We then head back into Epcot. My 7 yr old got her first autograph book and her first lanyard so she's ready for some autographs and pin-trading!!! We see Chip and Dale, Gideon (from Pinocchio), Alice, and Mary Poppins going from the Int'l Gateway on our journey towards Canada.

We get to Le Cellier @ 4:50 for our 5pm seating. We get seated right away.... I was curious to see what all the hype was about. Our 4.5 yr old DD slept all through dinner.... but the rest of enjoyed ours very much! I ordered the mixed greens (I'd tried the cheddar cheese soup @ the F & W festival last year and did not like it so I didn't order it here)... my 7 yr old DD ordered it though. She did not care for it :( DH ordered the mixed greens as well. We all liked the pretzel breadstick the most! DH ordered the T-Bone and said it was the best steak he'd ever had.... I got the free-range chicken and it was amazing... well worth the trip!!!! My 7 yr old got spaghetti and said it was good. Sadly, we were all too full for dessert even though we were on the DDP. We didn't order any....My younger DD did manage to wake up toward the end and eat her hot dog....

After dinner we rode Soarin' . That's my favorite ride :) LOVE it!
We called it a night and went back to swim in Stormalong Bay all evening.... loved seeing the fireworks from Illuminations from the pool!!!! They had a big thing going on too on the beach for the HSMusical 2 premiere.... but my girls were too tired to go over....

August 18,2007

5:45wake up call from Mickey! 7 yr old DD scrambles to answer the phone in her sleep. She had a big fight over this last night. She insisted SHE would talk to Mickey first!!!! I don't think she realized what she was doing with that phone @ 5:45am!!! LOL!

7:00am. Eating breakfast in the concierge lounge..... continental style offerings

7:15am head down to bus stop. Bus not there immediately... board it around 7:35am. It only stops @ BC after us, so we don't have to do the Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin like we had to in the past! YAY!

8:02am. Arrive @ AK. Missed the official early opening time but 7yr old DD and DH zoom to Expedition Everest. I go get fastpasses for all 4 of us for the safari. R (4.5 yr old DD) and I share an orange outside of EE waiting for DH and K (7 yr old DD) . I begin to wonder if DH remembered to take K's glasses off???? He must have, right??? I mean, he wears glasses too.... so of course he'll remember! It's now about 8:40. Where are they? They got on at 8:08 with no wait??? Did they head to the safari??? R and I venture inside the gift shop/ride exit. There's K crying. Oh no! I bet she lost her glasses..... Yep. I try to console her.... tell her it's ok. The CM tells us to check Lost and Found @ the park entrance on our way out for the day.... We head to the safari. K's crying the whole way :o( I tell her not to worry-we'll sit close for most things. It'll be fine!!! Safari was great-lots of animals out.... R kept asking when it was going to be done. She was bored.....

10am. In Goofy's line @ Camp Minnie/Mickey.... K gets to walk him down to his post! She's thrilled!!!! We then go see Mickey. We exit Mickey and a CM approaches us and asks us if we'll be around for the parade later. I tell him I'm not sure, but why? He wants us to be the family of the day and ride in a float! WOW! I'm so excited! I know DH will not be excited... but oh it'll be such fun!!!! (This is the eternal kid in me esp. at Disney!) DH is off getting fast passes at EE at this time. Boy oh boy will he be surprised (ha ha!). We then see Minnie.... now off to see Donald. We're in Donald's line and I see 3 members of the DREAM TEAM in the exit!!! They're giving out DREAM FASTPASSES!!!!! OMG! What are the chances!?!?!? There's NO way we'll get them... there are 15 people in front of us to see Donald..... will they have any left???? Will they leave before we exit???? LOL! PLEAAAAAAAAAAASE let us get some too!!!!!!! There's just no way... no way we'd get 3 dreams in less than 24 hours...... So..... I'm hurrying the girls through meeting Donald..... we exit... one member comes up to me and asks.... "Are you familiar with Disney's Year of a Million Dreams?" I squeal out "ARE YOU GOING TO GIVE US DREAM FASTPASSES!?!??!?! " She was kind of surprised by my over-excited outburst and said yes while laughing! Whoo-hooo!!!! Where's DH!?!?? I need DH to get him one! They tell me he has to be present. I see him near the stroller! Good-he's back from EE! I scream to him excitedly that we're getting dream fastpasses and to come over here :rotfl: !!!! LOL! We got them!!! Wow-3 major dreams in less than 24 hours of arrival!!!!! I NEVER win anything EVER so this is HUGE, HUGE, HUGE!!!! I don't take any of it for granted... this is my 18th trip and so far the most magical one!!!!

We leave Camp Minnie Mickey and get Mickey ice cream bars. K visits Stitch. Then Flick. We go on Expedition Everest (DH gave the regular fastpasses he'd gotten to 4 happy people!) R's tall enough to ride! We go on and R reallly doesn't like the dark part where it goes backwards..... she doesn't want to ride that one again. I liked it.... K LOVED it....

We eat @ Flame Tree BBQ. Ducks all over. Ick. Why oh why do guests continue to feed them??? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ok-so we go see It's Tough To Be A Bug. That scares the pants off R! She's screaming. I can't get out of the theater with her. I'm trying to calm her down.... thankfully it's over before she really loses it. I know not to attempt anymore 3-D movies while we're there. Odd too since she loves bugs??? LOL!
K and I do Dinosaur. Then DH and K do Primeival Whirl twice (once with their dream fastpasses and then once with mine and R's). I take R on triceratop spin.... It's getting too bloody hot. We're never in AK past 1pm. It's now 2:15. Can we make it til 3:30 when we're supposed to meet up w/ the parade people?!?!? I don't know.... we opt to cool down on Kali River rapids... it's a 20 min. wait WITH the dreamfastpass but so worth it. None of us get drenched.... we did get a bit wet and that helped cool us off! We get waters and popsicles after the ride.... then head to the brown gate near the safari where we wait for the CM. We see a couple looking at a map of AK. Obviously newbies. I take the 2 dream fastpasses that still have Dinosaur and the safari on them and offer them to the couple. They are so surprised!!! They hadn't been on either ride yet and now were anxious to go do them! :)
The CM comes out and takes us and 2 other chosen familes backstage to suit up.... The look on DH's face when he saw the safari hat w/ mouse ears he was going to have to wear... priceless!!! LOL! R was NOT happy. She did NOT want to do this. Wanted to go back to the hotel..... I made a bargain.... do it for Mommy and we'll zip out of here right after this and go swimming all night at the hotel!!!!! She agreed....

3:55pm. We are seated on our float just in front of Minnie. This CM has to literally pedal us around the whole park! We're told to smile and wave the whole time.... we have to wear ear plugs as the speakers playing the music are right above our heads....

4:00 pm... off we go! Wow this is exciting! All of these people watching the parade and we're in it!!!! LOL! DH and R surprised me by putting on happy faces and waving.... R has a very shy wave, but does it occasionally..... My arm gets tired. I don't know how these princesses do it! LOL! K is wiped out about 15 min. into it. Can't wave anymore!!! LOL! It's a 35 min. parade route.... Both girls keep asking when we can get off the float..... awww... come on girls!!! Enjoy this!!!! :goodvibes There are CM's posted every 100 yards or so waving like crazy to cue us to keep waving...... we get back to the backstage door and we're led down to view the rest of the parade as it comes through the gates w/ nobody obstructing the view. The parade director gives us all cold bottles of water... yay! The parade is done-we take off our vests/hats and exit the backstage.... we make our way to the exit and onto the bus. We're all wiped out.....

We end up making a meal out of the concierge appetizers (soup/fish and chips/hummus and pita bread/etc., etc) because we're too tired to go into Epcot for a CS meal.... then we swim in Stormalong Bay all evening!!!! K and R also roasted marshmallows on the beach @ the Yacht/Beach Club...

August 19, 2007

Wake-up call for 6:30am.... sleeping in! LOL! K grabs for the phone in her daze.... tries to talk to Mickey but it's Stitch this time.... she's falling asleep w/ the phone near her ear....

Into the concierge lounge by 7:45 am for breakfast.... we want to be at the MK early (opens at 9am). We grab breakfast and head down to the bus @ 8:15. Bus is right there.... we make it to MK by 8:45. We race down Main St. and park ourselves @ the Adventureland rope.

When the rope drops, we head right to Big Thunder Mtn... R's favorite ride from last fall!!!! We ride it and then Splash Mtn. Next we do Pirates of the Caribbean. We see Peter Pan and Wendy. Peter was hysterical-quite the quick humor comic!!! He asked where we were from and I said Massachusetts. He said he though all MA residents wore red socks? Where are our Red socks? LOL! He then gets DH to play hide and seek with him (I'm STUNNED that DHplayed along.... (again-he did it for his family! LOL! ) K then ran over to Capt. Hook and Mr. Smee-shocker! Before she would NEVER go near the villains!!!! Capt. Hook pretended to cut off her ponytail w/ his hook! She thought that was hysterical!

Next we went over to Tomorrowland. K and DH rode Space Mtn. I took R on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority as she did NOT want to ride the dark ride..... next we did the Indy Raceway (I really dislike that ride! LOL!). We were on the hunt for PUSH (the talking/moving trash can in Tomorrowland) R got the biggest kick out of him last year and talked of nothing but Push for the longest time.... we FOUND him!!! K ran up to him and played along with him. R was terrified now. Go figure. She stayed back with DH.....K followed Push all over and kept hugging him!!! It was hysterical to see guests who had no idea about Push and they'd throw their trash in and Push would go "Yumm.. yumm... thank you!" and then follow them! LOL! They freaked out!!!! The kids are funny as anything with him! We dragged K away and went to ride Barnstormer since it was closing down the next day for refurbishment.... we visited Minnie's house and then headed to Crystal Palace for our lunch reservations.

I will NOT do Crystal Palace again intentionally! LOL! :rotfl: :rotfl: The crowds congregating out front are just insane. Many do not have an ADR but brave the chaos to see if they can be squeezed in. It makes it impossible for you to CHECK IN and then to actually hear your name get called! It was so awfully hot and we were all dying from heat exhaustion practically... by 12:15 (our ressie was for 11:45) we were seated. The line for the buffet was MASSIVE. The girls did not want to leave the table for fear of missing the Pooh characters... so DH stayed @ the table with them while I stood in line to get the girls' food. Then I came back to the table so DH could go stand in line to get his food.... then I finally went up to get mine.... just tiring. No characters on our side until about 45 min. into the meal. Then we got Piglet... followed shortly after by Eeyore... then Pooh. Tigger never came by-he pretty much lingered on the other side of the restaurant. K was bummed as she really wanted to meet him and get his autograph  The food was very, very good despite being a challenge to get at! LOL! :rotfl:

After lunch we headed back to the hotel to swim.... it was just too hot to walk anymore!!! LOL!

We headed into MGM around 5:00. R fell asleep in the stroller again....K and DH rode Star Tours and then we ate @ Pizza Planet while R napped.... (this child NEVER naps but last fall and this trip too, it was like clockwork... she just couldn't go another step... thank heavens for our Maclaren stroller!!!! :rotfl: )
After dinner we headed to Sunset Blvd. DH and K rode Tower of Terror and Rock-n-Roller coaster (2x). R woke up in the meantime and I got her a burger for dinner....

DH took R back to the hotel to swim and I stayed at MGM with K because she really wanted to see Fantasmic. We got into the theater an hour before it started and got pretty good seats. By about 30 min. before the show the ampitheater was filled to capacity.... very crowded! K loved the show again but it was wetter than last year!!! LOL! It was breezy despite the heat and it would blow the water sprays far into the audience.... it felt great though!
After Fantasmic, the line for the ferry was crazy, so K and I walked back to the hotel (about a 20 min. walk) It was so nice just spending the one-on-one time with her :o)

The girls fell asleep and I went to put the wet bathing suits on the chairs on the balcony and saw fireworks!!! Wishes could be seen perfectly from our balcony! I was so excited!!!!!! I sat out there and watched them and the guests in the next room came out to watch. I got to chatting with them-they were from outside of Montreal and it was their first time at the YC.... they were very nice and we talked for about 45 min.

Off to bed since DH:woohoo: has an early, early day tomorrow-SURFING LESSONS @ Typhoon Lagoon!!!!

August 20, 2007

DH leaves the hotel around 5:00am for his surfing lessons @ Typhoon Lagoon.... has to take a taxi since there is no bus service that early in the morning.

I take the girls to the concierge lounge for breakfast and then we head to Animal Kingdom.

We got there when they opened @ 9am. R didn't want to ride Expedition Everest, so K couldn't go on... I take them to Dinoland so they can run around the playground and ride Triceratop Spin.

We then watched Festival of the Lion King and headed back to the hotel... it was too difficult to find attractions for all of us to go on since K wanted the thrill rides and R didn't....

When we arrived, we saw DH just getting back as well in the lobby! He had a blast surfing!!! At first he was concerned as most of the guests that were coming for the lesson were 10/12 yr old boys, but then a couple of 20-something girls came and a 52 yr old man who used to live in Hawaii and wanted to relearn how to surf. DH said that if he had the opportunity to do it again, he'd go again just to get the surf time since every wave was a perfect one in the wave pool.... he said it wasn't that difficult since he skates (Skateboard) too and that helped with the balance....

DH came w/ us to Hurricane Hanna's by the pool to get some lunch. The ducks were abundant at our feet...

I really liked the chicken flatbread sandwich.... definitely worth the CS credit! :thumbsup2

After lunch we went in Stormalong Bay for a bit.... the water is sooo nice!

At 4:00pm we begin the trek to the Contemporary resort to go to Chef Mickey's for dinner. We took the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then hopped the monorail to the Contemporary. We made very good timing and got there early for our 5:30 dinner reservation, so we mingled in the gift shop for a bit.

5:30 dinner.... this restaurant gets a lot of mixed reviews about it's food but I don't know if it's just that we ate right when they started serving dinner or what-but we found it to be great! The character interaction was awesome! Pluto visted first... then Goofy.... Donald... Minnie... and finally Mickey!!!! Then they all came around again except Mickey since he was last in the rotation. The server brought K out a cupcake for her bday and everyone did the napkin waving thing as Donald stayed with K as she blew out the candle. K loved the napkin twirling thing and kept doing it whenever they started doing it after that!

After dinner we headed into the Magic Kingdom for a bit. It was very crowded so we couldn't get on Thunder Mtn. or even get fastpasses as they were gone for the day.... so we ventured into Fantasyland and rode Small World . After the ride, DH took R back to the YC to swim. K wanted to see Spectromagic, so I was going to stay with her in the park to view it. We walked around a bit and got a Pineapple Dole Whip float to share. We found a spot in Fronteirland to view the parade and K made friends with 2 little boys on the left of us and I chatted with a woman on the other side of us who was there with her 16 yr old daughter. I brought along about 30 glow bracelets (got them from the $1 store before we came down-6 in a pack for $1) We activated them all and K began handing them out to any kids she could find that needed some magic :) I see the makings of a future cast member in K!!! :):goodvibes

K loved the parade!!! After the parade, we tried to scope out a spot on Main St. or near the train station to view Wishes but it was just soooo crowded. We headed toward the bus shortly after the fireworks began and saw the fireworks perfectly from outside the turnstiles as we walked to the bus....

When we got to the bus, the line was massive-I knew it would take at least 3 buses before we got picked up, so I glanced at the Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin bus and there were hardly any people in it, so we took that one and walked back to the YC from the Boardwalk. It was now 11:00 and K was barely able to walk it!!!

DH said that he and R had fun swimming and then he had her go with him to the BC marketplace so he could get his coffee and they sat in the rocking chairs together and people watched :o)

So we all had a great night!

August 21, 2007

We got to "sleep-in" until about 7:30 since we were going to Epcot (walking distance for us so no bus to catch!) We let the girls sleep until 8:15... they were exhausted!

After breakfast in the concierge lounge (gosh that's so convenient!!!) we walked over to Epcot for the rope drop @ the International Gateway. Our plan was to zip over to Soarin' and ride it before the wait got long..... As soon as the CM moved the rope, we walked as quickly as possible to the Land pavilion to ride Soarin. There was already a 20 min. wait since the front entrance has a wee bit of an advantage over the Int'l Gateway entrance.... we rode Soarin' and then DH went over to Test Track to get Fastpasses for us. I took the girls on the Nemo ride... that was cute-first time we'd ridden it!!! Next we did Turtle Talk with Crush! I LOVED it!!!! So did K!!! It was hysterical Dude!!!!! Next we went to Test Track for our fastpass call-back.... love that ride!

After Test Track, we ate lunch @ Seasons near Soarin' in the Land pavilion. DH then took K into Journey into Imagination but R didn't want to go in(She doesn't like the part w/ the skunk spraying :rotfl: :rotfl: ).... but she did want to go get the little turtle stuffed animal in the Nemo gift shop with her money... so we went there and a CM gave her a tinkerbell pin :o) for being a good girl...DH took R back to the YC and I took K into Mousegears (gift shop) since she wanted to use some of her $$ to buy a Jasmine costume for the Pirate & Princess party because she didn't want to be Belle again (the costume we brought from home)

We then went back to the YC. R didn't want to swim so she and I wandered around both the Yacht and Beach Clubs while DH and K swam. We did a bit of shopping and saw Lilo and Stitch in the BC lobby again. We all met back up in the room to get ready for the Pirate and Princess Party @ the MK with a stop at the Polynesian first for dinner @ Kona!

We took a bus to the MK and then took the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center so we could walk to the Poly from there and see our brick that we'd gotten a few months after we honeymooned in Disney-it's in the walkway going from the TTC to the Poly....

We had dinner @ Kona (first time) It was amazingly good! The sticky wings are WOW! R ended up trying to eat her burger with the chopsticks that I'd been given with my meal... that got her to eat more than 4 bites for a change!!!! Again... I was not hungry enough for dessert... both DD"s did get their sundaes though :)

We got to the MK around 6:30 and were given our wristbands and loot bags. The park was clearing out the regular day guests :) We went first toward Thunder Mtn. We stopped at 3 loot stations on the way and the girls got beaded necklaces and candy.... we rode Thunder Mtn. 2 times in a row w/ no wait at all. Then we hit a few more loot spots as we made our way to Fantasyland. We rode Small World, Peter Pan, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, the tea cups, and Dumbo all with absolutely no wait... literally walking right on to everything! That's what we love about these parties!!! K got to meet Anastasia, Drizella, and Lady Tremaine while we were in Fantasyland.... that was a first!

Next we went into Tomorrowland where DH and K rode Space Mtn. and then we did Buzz Lightyear's Spaceranger Spin..... we saw the fireworks from Tomorrowland-they were spectacular though R covered her ears and closed her eyes for the whole thing..... LOL!

Finally, R pleaded to ride Thunder Mtn. one last time.... we had to hike clear across the MK to do so and fight the crowds in the hub of the castle.... After Thunder Mtn., we had to reluctantly take the girls back to the bus to get to the hotel. It was about 10:20pm at this point and both were dragging.....

R fell asleep en route to the bus in the stroller... DH held her and then he and K fell asleep on the bus too.... :rotfl: :rotfl: I woke up DH and we managed to get the girls up to the room and into bed.....

I'm subbing. I'm really enjoying reading about your Dream Team encounters and the girls' reactions to the different rides. We're going to take our kids for the first time this January, so I'm wondering who will want to ride what. :cool1:

Fun TR...Lovin it!! Do you know how the room upgrade
works? Is it a random thing?:confused3

August 22, 2007

We opted to make this a relaxation day when leaving the party last night.... too much fun and excitement so far and we needed some downtime!!! LOL!

We got the girls breakfast from the Ale and Compass lounge since concierge has the same offerings every day and the girls wanted something different.... they ate their breakfast on the balcony.

We then headed to Downtown Disney. We hit a few shops and the girls were asked to be the official Christmas Calendar count-down girls in the Christmas shop. 125 days til Christmas from today... did you know that???? After that we went into Goofy's Candy Company. They have this option of making up your own fattening treat with as many sugary sweets that you can pile on that you want. You can choose marshmallows, a pretzel stick, gingerbread cookie, sugar cookie, rice krispie treat, etc... and then dip it in milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate and then drizzle caramel or another chocolate on top of that.... then add M & M's, chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles, etc., etc., etc.... K picked out a gingerbread cookie and went crazy with the toppings!!! This all cost a snack credit! Cool!!! The rest of us picked out a smaller and less messy treat from the case (all snack credits).

We then went to the pin store and R picked out a lanyard of her own... she decided NOW that she wants to do the pin trading that K's been doing since day 1.... They each picked out a few more pins with their money.

We went into the World of Disney store.... soooo crowded..... then lunch @ Earl of Sandwich. The girls wouldn't eat their PB & J sandwiches because it was on a foccacia type bread that was toasted and that was NOT a PB & J sandwich to them :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ...... thank goodness for the dining plan at times like these!!!!

Lastly, DH went off shopping alone while I took the girls to the squirting water near the bus stop. They had a blast getting soaked... it was still 97 degrees or so as it's been every day. I brought a change of clothes for both of them in anticipation that they'd do this, so they changed in the bathroom to avoid the freeze of the AC on the bus since it is one of the longer bus rides that we have at the YC....

When we got back we just hung out in the room for a while. I canceled our Boma reservations because we didn't have the energy to go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We instead got reservations in our hotel at the Yacht Club Galley.

I took both girls to the BC gift shop so they could trade pins. Then we tried the YC gift shop's pin board to trade, but the pin board wasn't available.... back up to the room to get ready for dinner.

Dinner was very good actually and so nice to just have to walk downstairs to get to the restaurant! After dinner we went in Stormalong Bay again. We watched the fireworks from Illuminations from the pool....

August 23, 2007

This is our last full day :( How did that happen!?!??!?!

We got up at 6am (we let the girls go til 6:30... they were soooooooooooooooooo tired..... ) We headed into the Magic Kingdom for early opening @ 8am. We tried to go to Adventureland first, but it's apparently closed now until 9am... so we zoomed across to Tomorrowland. The line for Space Mtn. looked deceptively long so we rode Buzz Lightyear and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. From the TTA, we saw that the line for Space Mtn. inside was not bad at all. DH and K rode it and then came out to tell us they're doing it again. I took R to Winnie the Pooh and would meet up w/ them @ Thunder Mtn.... we got there at the same time and rode Thunder Mtn 3 x in a row.

DH then walked us to our special late breakfast @ Cinderella's Royal Table before he headed to Epcot to eat and drink around the world so to speak and to ride Mission Space and Test Track. The girls and I waited in line to meet Cinderella downstairs first... they had their picture taken and then we were immediately seated upstairs... we got one of the coveted window seats!!!! It overlooked Fantasyland! All the girls were given magic wands while the boys got swords. All of them also got a special wishing star. Our server was great-brought out our meals quickly. We were visited by Princess Aurora, Belle, the Fairy Godmother, and Snow White while we dined! Toward the end, there was an announcement that it was time to do the wishing ceremony... all the kids were to take their wand/sword in one hand and the star in the other and wave them in the air with their eyes closed tight while saying Bibbity-Bobbity-Boo and their wish would come true..... well, my girls did this and when K opened her eyes, she wanted to know why her wish didn't come true.... I asked her what she wished for. She said the Sherbert Webkinz Bunny! Duh! LOL! :rotfl: :rotfl:  I asked her about the other thing she'd been asking about all morning long and she said-oh yeah, I want the chocolate slipper dessert too like R had last year for her birthday! I saw the waitress heading our way with it (I pre-ordered it 4 months ago!) and K didn't see her coming. I told K to hurry and close her eyes and make the wish for it..... she did and when she opened her eyes-it was right in front of her! :goodvibes :yay: She truly thought it was from wishing!!! The look on her face was priceless!!!!!! Both girls devoured the treat and the berries and we left the castle.

We headed into Toontown to meet Mickey in his house and walk around a bit. After that, we decided to get one last Dole Whip before we left since it's now K's favorite as well as mine. We had them under the veranda in Adventureland and then headed down Main Street for the last time until who knows when :confused3 :confused3 :sad2: :scared: We took the bus back and had a woman in front of us complaining to us and everyone else about everything Disney.... I just wanted to smile and tell her to have a Magical Day but feared she might hit me, so I just nodded along sympathetically... LOL! :rotfl2:

We got back to the hotel and saw DH a little woozy by the elevators... seems he overdid it a bit. When he sampled food/wine last year, it was the Food and Wine festival so it was all sample sizes... this time though, there was no food & wine festival so everything was a full-sized beer/wine and he's not much of a drinker at all, so a small amount goes a loooooooooooong way!!!!:scared: Once he got to the room, he just lay down on the bed and napped for almost 2 hours. I took the girls down to get hair wraps by the pool... we chose the clip on version since they didn't want to actually have their hair twisted up and have it fall out in 2 weeks. For what they cost, I'm glad we went with the ones that will last indefinitely!!! LOL! FYI-they are $2 per inch w/ beads extra.

After we woke DH up, we went to MGM. R fell asleep in the stroller on the way to board the ferry and kept sleeping and sleeping. DH fell asleep at the lighthouse where we catch the ferry for 30 min. while we waited..... then he felt nauseous on the boat... poor guy!!! LOL! I doubt that'll be happening again! :rotfl: We got to MGM and he went on Rock and Roller Coaster with K... TWICE! I tried to take K on the Great Movie Ride but for some reason the less popular attraction had a long line, so we opted to skip it and get dinner back at the hotel @ Hurricane Hanna's.

DH went up to the room and got the girls' swimsuits while I got them dinner. They swam in the pool for quite a while (DH was all recovered now!!! LOL!)

Off to bed and get ready for a travel day tomorrow.....

Fun TR...Lovin it!! Do you know how the room upgrade
works? Is it a random thing?:confused3

I don't know the specifics of it... I do know that we've stayed at virtually the same 2 hotels (YC and BC) exclusively since our honeymoon in 1994 and we've always had it noted when we were there for our anniversaries or a child's bday and never got an upgrade until this year... it was a big surprise!!!! :) This was my 18th Disney trip and absolutely the most magical yet....

It all sounds magical and I'm so glad
you felt that magic! Disney is sooo
special!!:goodvibes

Now it's time to say goodbye :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

We had an ADR for Cape May Cafe @ 7:30am... it's our last day tradition to eat breakfast here....

We had a wonderful server who was so attentive and when K told her that this was her bday trip, she returned minutes later with a monstrous cupcake and Minnie Mouse and got everyone to sing Happy Birthday :goodvibes We had lots of great character interaction with Goofy, Minnie, and Chip.... :thumbsup2 Breakfast was yummy as always here :)

Our driver Jack from Tiffany Town Cars picked us up @ 10:30 and we were headed home... just an hour and a half delay w/ our SWA flight due to bad weather in Chicago where our pilot was coming from and then a quick passing thunderstorm over Orlando that we waited for to leave....

Can't wait for the next time but I think it won't be for a while since DH says we need to put new windows in the house.... :sad2: :sad2: next year....

i really enjoyed reading of your adventures..........the upgrade was so cool! Thanx for writing!:thumbsup2
