This is my first trip report so please bear with me. This will be our 2nd trip to WDW, the last being in Sept. 06. We had planned another trip for last year but had to cancel when the economy started to struggle and my hours were cut back at work. Making a long story as short as possible, this trip has been a blessing for me. Since Oct. I have had my mother in the hospital having (3) stints put in and then breaking her back while there, my youngest sister passed away in Feb. and my dad passed away in May. I NEED this trip, to say the least. Our cast of characters are as follows:
myself, TA

This is a dream vacation for our family. The last time that we were able to go it was only for 4 days, so 8 is extra MAGICAL!! We are planning on going to Universal-WWHP for 1 day in the middle. My DS is a HUGE HP FREAK! Last trip we also were at ASMu, this trip PO-FQ. YAY!! I just knew when I planned this that my luck was long overdue to turn around, so I just kept hoping that the free dining pixie dust was coming...and HOOTIE-HOO! It did!! The original plan was Nov. 21-27th in ASMu. After free dining.....upgrade to PO-FQ and added 2 days...still saving $800.00. Double YAY! I made all of my dining ressies at the 190 day mark...like any good Dis'er would, but I have wiggled them around a bit. I decided that being there for 8 days we did not need park hoppers so that meant some of them had to go. Here is our game plan as it stand now.....Im not saying it wont change before then though....:lmao:

Day 1-Thursday Nov. 18th-Arrive Disney and have a Downtown Disney Day!!
Lunch: Earl of Sandwich
Dinner: Wolfgang Puck Cafe (7:00 pm ressie)

Day 2-Fri. Nov. 19th-Epcot
Lunch: Sunshine Seasons
Dinner: Tutto Italia (6:15 pm ressie)

Day 3-Sat. Nov. 20th-Epcot again!! We love this park!
Lunch: Lotus Blossom
Dinner: Coral Reef (7:15 pm ressie)

Day 4-Sun. Nov. 21st-Magic Kingdom
Lunch: Pecos Bill
Dinner: Whispering Canyon (6:05 pm ressie)

Day 5-Mon. Nov. 22nd-Hollywood Studios
Lunch: Starring Rolls
Dinner: Sci-Fi Dine-In (8:20 pm ressie)
Osbourne Spect. of Lights before dinner

Day 6-Tues. Nov. 23rd-Wizarding World of Harry Potter/Universal

Day 7-Wed. Nov. 24th-Animal Kingdom
Lunch: Fame Tree BBQ
Dinner: Boma (6:45 pm ressie)

Day 8-Thursday-THANKSGIVING!! Hollywood Studios
*On this day Lib is volunteering time at GKTW so she will join us for dinner. It is a free day after our breakfast, up until dinner.
Breakfast: Kona Cafe (10 am ressie)
Dinner: 50's Primetime Cafe (6:55 pm ressies)

Departing on Day 9 Fri......Im sure we will be sad to go, but exhausted at the same time. I am so excited.

I hope it is ok to ask for a little favor.....if you read this could you send a little pixie dust our way, pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: hopefully the rest of our year will be filled with nothing but Disney planning and our vacation....no more bad luck!! Thanks!!

well, what can I say? The pixie dust continued on for us. Southwest offered a really great deal on flights so instead of driving we are now flying....YAY!!!

We are getting so excited about our trip. This weekend, I will make our 30 day countdown calender and hang it on the fridge. Our Magical Express envelope came yesterday......I love when the envelopes start coming:cool1:. I am also trying to get my desk at work cleared up so when I leave there will be nothing that I havent done...yeah right:rotfl2:...lol.

I wish I could accurately express the sheer joy that my family is feeling right now. We are not the type of family that can take an 8 day vacation. Normally, we are lucky to get a 4 day weekend, so this is truly a dream come true. Over the years, when I read these trip reports I have always been so envious of the families that were able to go for looooonnnnnnggg trips, and I never thought we would be able to do it......Well, guess what? We did do it. We sacrificed a little all year long, but it will soon all be worth it. We had everything (vacation, flight, Universal tickets, groceries from Garden Grocer) paid for in full by the 50 day out mark. Our spending money is tucked away and being added to weekly:woohoo:. I am still considering taking my BFF, Lib, to LaNouba for her birthday. We are spending the first day in Downtown Disney and I thought that the boys could go enjoy Disney Quest while we went and saw the show. I would appreciate any reviews of the show that anyone would like to offer. I am trying to justify the cost.....I have always wanted to see it and now would be the perfect opportunity. I keep hoping that maybe a special code or sale will happen before we leave....you never know with the pixie dustpixiedust:....it can fall anywhere at anytime.

Anyway, it doesnt appear that many people are reading my report:surfweb:...but I dont care, I am enjoying typing it....lol. Oh yeah, I almost forgot....we did purchase a brand new camera for our trip so I am hoping to have wonderful pictures for the actual trip report....YAY!!!!

Here's hoping all the people with vacations on the horizon have a magically wonderful time!!!!
