Players:
Susan, 39 - trip report writer, lover of all things Disney
Larry, 46 - DH, converted Disney fanatic, can't get enough Disney trips
Tara, 16 - DD, ready to go to Disney for any reason (or no reason)
Dad, 69 - DF, first Disney trip in about 12 or so years, ready to do pretty much everything except the coasters
Mom, 61 - DM, same Disney background as Dad, ready to do anything that doesn't mess up her hair
Sister, 25 - DS, last went to Disney when she was in middle school, is ready to have some fun
Brother-in-Law, 28 - DBIL, hasn't been to Disney in years, very into thrill rides
Brother, 22 - DB, went to Disney about 5 years ago, but ready to see the new stuff added since then, also very into thrill rides
This was the day we all had to go home - what a bummer. Still, it was a fantastic trip and everything went so well, I couldn't be too sad. My mom said it was the best family vacation we ever had next to our trip to Hawaii (which was almost 30 years ago and took place before my brother and sister were even born). My dad said he didn't have words to describe how much he enjoyed himself and how great the vacation was. My sister, DBIL and brother also talked about how much fun they had and what an exciting week it had been. All in all, I was pleased as punch with the trip and I feel that we managed to convey to them what the Disney magic is all about and why we love to go there so often.
They headed back to North Carolina about 7:00 a.m. and we were on our way back to Georgia at about 7:30 a.m. It turns out, we had a big ice storm headed our way, and we managed to get home just before it hit, so the timing was in our favor. I think I slept for the next two days straight, trying to recover from all the walking, but it was worth it and I will treasure the memories of this trip forever.
Thanks for reading my reports. If any of you have questions or comments, please feel free to post them!
