Angela, I am really enjoying reading your report. LOVE the pics. Boy, I miss that wonderful GF. :guilty: I am having major GF withdrawal......

Can't wait to read more of your report and relive the magic!

Lives4Disney :)

I know what you mean... BG surprised me with a trip to WDW for my brithday (late August) so we are going and staying at the WL. I know that so many absolutely LOVE that resort, but I can't help but be a little sad that we aren't staying at the GF... But, we will be back at RPC for our wedding, which seems to be moving closer all the time!! I am starting to panic that I am not going to get everything done....

Makes it sooooooo much more enjoyable to read.......
The photos are great....Appreciate you taking your time to
share this with us !!! :tinker: ::MinnieMo pluto: ::MickeyMo

Day 3 Continued - EMH at Magic Kingdom

We left the GF around 9, headed for the MK. But, somehow on the monorail ride over the park, I decided that some shopping at some of the other resorts was in order. So, off we went to the Contemporary and the Polynesian to see what we could find. It was is one of the shops that I found one of the cutes little hats for Tasha, our little poochy. It was a Minnie-eared princess hat, and I couldn't resist it. So, I purchased it, a WDW "official" dog leash, and a pair of Mickey and Minnie socks for my FFIL and FMIL. I tried to take a pic of the Contemporary for the monorail platform, but my camera doesn't seem to do good in the dark....

We stopped at the Poly, took our goodies back to the GF, then headed off to the MK, again! :teeth: The park had been jam packed that afternoon, so I was completely prepared for the same suffocating amount of people during the EMH... Thank goodness I was wrong! We got through the turnstiles at the same time it looked like thousands of people were making their was out of the park, which was surprising, seeing as Wishes! and the second showing of Spectromagic were still on the schedule for the night. But, I was glad to see so many people leaving... Bad of me, I know....

We made our way toward Fantasyland to catch the rides we had missed on Wednesday, which was most of them...

Pooh's Corner (Sorry if some of these are dark)

We slowly made our way around to Liberty Square and Frontierland. The HM was next on our list. I am never surprised at the amount of kids on this ride that truly are scared. Parents are trlling them how the ghosts inside are friendly and won't hurt them. The kids are trying to be brave, and they put on a smile that says so. But, when you look at them, there is true terror in their eyes... Maybe I am just kicking into "teacher mode"....

We chose not to ride Splash Mountain, so we went directly to POTC. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I like the addition of Jack Sparrow. Maybe it is because Johnny Depp is just so yummy... ;)

***SPOILER ALERT***

Here are a couple of pics from the ride...

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE THEM, SCROLL DOWN!!

HERE THEY GO..... (again, sorry if they are dark)

*** SPOILER COMPLETE***

It was already past 1, and we had an early morning at the AK. The park was to open at 8 on Saturday for EMH, so we grabbed a Dole whip float, and headed to the monorail station.

Next up.... Day 4 at the Animal Kingdom :cheer2:

You took so many great pictures! I will be waiting for next installment. Personally I love WL. There are alot kids running around though. I'm sure your used to it being a teacher but you also might like to have a break. I'm just hoping to love Polynesian as much as WL. :goodvibes We will be at Poly the same time you are at WL. It will be me, DH, DD6 and DS2. Have a great trip!

The Poly to me has always just seemed tropical and romantic, so I think you will love it!! The WL is starting to grow on me, so I know we will have as much fun there as we do at the GF, it is a new experience. :wizard:

BTW, I don't mind the little kiddo's running around... ;)

Day 4 - Early morning at the AK

A 6:40 wake up call got us "up" (and I use that term loosely) to head over to the AK. Since we were having to ride the bus, we tried to be down to the bus stop by 7:15. But, due to a quick stop for a hot chocolate and a bagel from the lounge, we didn't quite make it. So, we caught the 7:30 bus to the AK and arrived at the park right as the turnstiles opened. BG waited in line, while I went over to Guest relations to pick up a birthday button for him.

The first order of business was to make our way over to Expedition Everest. We herded over that way like cattle, only to find that the ride was DOWN!! How could it be down?? We got in line for the FP, which the time was already up to 10:50!! :scared1: After we got our FP we made our way over to the Kilamanjaro Safari.

BG is line for the ride. The wait was no longer than about 5 minutes...

I love this ride. The giraffe is my favorite animal, and it is so neat to see one so up close. A couple of pics of the animals....

From there, it was on to ITTBAB. I am not a big fan of this show, but BG loves it. I tried to get him to let me take his pic next to the giant ball of dung, but for some reason he refused...

From there, it was on to the Festival of the Lion King... This show is AMAZING!!! I have always loved it, and the performers are just wonderful. Such incredible voices and stage presence, I am in awe everytime I come out of that theatre... We sat in the Warthog section.... ;)

As the show ended, we made our way back over to EE.

This ride is great!!!! :scared1: I knew from the boards that the cart went backwards, but I hadn't told BG. But BG had also been doing some snooping around, and he knew but didn't tell me.... I loved this!! I think that a ride like EE is really something that was needed to draw more attention to AK. I love the park, but I couldn't spend a whole day the way I do at Epcot or MK.

On the way out of the park, back to the GF for lunch, we saw this great band...
