Ok here's what I'd do .....

My priority would be to hit all the stuff that isn't in WDW.

Hit DL at rope drop. Fast pass Indy, continue on to Pirates (better than in WDW .. longer ride), continue on to Splash (also longer than in WDW), you could then head over to Thunder if you want but I like the one in WDW better, next Matterhorn (each side is a slightly different ride but I can't remember which is which), you might want to do Mr Toads Wild Ride since it's no longer in WDW, fill in time with Space, Buzz or whatever you like.

I'd spend late afternoon/early evening in DCA. Tower of Terror is different so it's worth going on. Soaring is the same. I think Toy Story is the same and last time I was there it didn't have a FP. Also be sure and spend some time in Cars Land since they don't have that in WDW. The Rapids ride is fun. We've needed to do the single rider line for the Cars ride (can't remember the name right now but it's on a track like Test Track).

I would do World of Color and if you can manage to get across the Plaza between the 2 parks in time for Wishes I'd do it.

In the past you've always been allowed to hold a FP in both parks so I've been known to get my FP in DL do a couple of things there and then rush across to get a FP for either Soaring or Tower.

I'm sure I've forgotten a lot if you have any specific questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help.

Good Morning! I agree!! The anticipation is almost the best part. Once we are under the 100 day mark it will start to feel more real!

We took our dd at 12 months. We stayed at CBR and now 40+ trips later I am afraid I created a monster.

People always ask " when is the best time to take your kids?".... I say NOW!!!!

Each and every age was great. There is just so many different things to do. Growing up Disney has been great. We didn't miss out on anything.

That first one was extra special though. She loved seeing any character, riding the train etc. I really found for the dad's it is a good way to get them to spend quality time with their family too.

You are going to have the best time!

Trish - agreed! We took DD6 to DL at 18 mo, 3, WDW at 4 and 5... each trip has been unique and the focus totally different. You have to accomodate them when touring but the reward is worth it! LO will be at WDW at 14 and almost 18 months!
Piglet - my friend does that with each kiddo (they are waiting for 4 to decide to show up any day now). They make a trip so they can focus on the kids before things get crazy.

I got an Elsa dress for DD6! W00t! It`s a size big but we can make it work - we hd same for Rapunzel wedding dress and just tucked the hem up... she`s been able to fit it for 3 years, 2 trips! Have to hold it until her birthday but so glad to grab it since I have been trying since Nov! Had a chance to get it before the movie and held back... *shakes head* oh well, better late than never!

We are now doing a split stay Coronado Springs ( I've got 2 days to go down that water slide at the pool because of my husbands not so fond liking of moderate hotels ) and then it's off to Yacht Club for the rest of it.


Does anyone else out there feel like we do....
We like the values and the deluxe hotels but the moderates

Also, talked to `reasonable` SIL last night and she thinks we should push for the split (mod/SoG). She is sort of anti-Disney (going for sake of family) but feels it`s worth the atmosphere to stay on property. She`s been a super good sport: eager to try drinks/food at EPCOT, try AKL restaurants, see Cirque... so it`s nice to have a logical voice that isn`t jaded by mouse dreams or trying to have a caviar trip with a popcorn budget.

Totally get it but I think CSR is a good mod choice, though. Hoping we can swing that in Dec since it`s the `deluxe mod`

We took DS in 2010 for one last trip with just the 3 of us, and it was probably the best trip we've had so far (although last year was pretty good too!) And shortly after we got back, we found out we were pregnant with #2! DD was so different than DS though when we first took her. She was scared of all the characters at first so it put a damper on all those character meals we'd booked. Lol. Now she can't wait to go back so she can eat with the princesses and high five Mickey Mouse.

Don't fret.....Not only are the moderates waaay better than the values,but you picked the best of the bunch.
CSR to us is basically a Deluxe-Lite....And if we weren't DVC owners we'd be spending most of our time at this place. Besides having one of the best pools and slides, it also has a huge hot tub (biggest on property) ,The pepper market also is waay better than any food court, and By far the Abo****e best bus service out of any resort, Deluxe mod or value. Just make sure you're not waay out in ranchos when you check in.. Its beautifully themed but just far from main bldg. But it's close to the main pool...

I agree with everything. I have stayed there many times. Busses are great! Also I was told by a manager that it is better because they cater to the conventioneers that it " was a deluxe resort at a moderate price". His words!

The grounds, pools, food options, the outside bar area, inside bar areas and restaurants are all better than the other mods.

Just my 2cents.

My opinion is that the busses run good because business men don't have the patience to wait !

Hello, shocker and welcome to the thread where the magic happens... and then rehappens... and then rehappens again! Where each change brings solid words of encouragement while also checking their watches to see how long it sticks! In other words, welcome to my happy place!

SOOO much drama, all for naught.
SIL got a new job and will be making some extra dough so they are more willing to pony up for Dec. Other, reasonable SIL says we should do the split (for ease of transport, benefits, and because 'it's Disney') so I'm going to keep what we have. I have already told our TA that a lot is discount dependent (shooting for either the AP or military discount) and am going to reiterate it. If we can pull off a 4/3 split of Mod/SoG with a discount that would mean I don't have to share rooms with the ILs for 4 of the 7 nights!

*sighs* Now that the first hurdle seems to be cleared, trying to get ADRs in line. Thinking of having TA handle the large group ones and then lining up the smaller, individual group ones because I see those changing A LOT.

I went ahead and cancelled our arrival night ADR because I want more flexibility. I don't mind if we stay at the resort and eat there or take the boat to DTD. If we go there, we'll eat at WPE or Cooke's of Dublin.
