Our little Family of three! June 12-17, 2010

Wednesday started much like Tuesday! We had planned to do our Early Morning and do Toontown Madness, but instead opted to sleep in. Oh well! That is two trips we have missed ToonTown Madness, I guess not meant to be!

We headed to the park for the 8am opening. What a relief compared to the other two days. Not as crowded at all. We started with a visit with Alice and the Mad Hatter:

So, what do you think? Doesn't the Mad Hatter look an awful lot like Terrance from the day before? I sure thought so!

We next headed for FantasyLand. We walked on Mr. Toad, Snow White, and Pinocchio. Peter Pan was too long (never did ride it this trip). I think people did not realize they had changed the Early Morning due to the Grad Night, because Fantasyland was slow! We headed for Dumbo too!

Once Toontown Madness was over we headed in there to do Go-Go, since it had been closed the day before. We waited in a fairly short line for that. Earlier DH and I had picked up FPs for BTMRR. Here are some pictures of DD while she and I waited for DH:

Next we went to Adventureland, hoping I would get an Indiana FP or single rider, nope, broke again! So, we did the Jungle Cruise and got lucky to find Jasmine and Aladdin waiting for us!

Next DD and I shared a Dole Whip Float and we went to the Tiki show! I loved it! That is seriously been one of my favorite things to do at Disneyland, since I was a kid. Loved it! My first Dole Whip Float, and also loved it!!

Thanks to DIS, I got a Restaurant.com $25 gift certificate for House of Blues for $3 before we left! We had lunch there today. We opted to sit outside, they moved an umbrella for us!

What a great place! I had the Shrimp Po-Boy, and loved it! This is the one place DH and I did not split a meal. DH had their club and liked it. I don't remember what DD had. I ordered one of their special drinks in a large souvenir glass to take home. Since drinks were not included when deducting, we still paid $50 out of pocket, but a great meal and worth it! That is a place I would eat again!

We planned for an afternoon at DCA to close down the park (closing at 6pm due to Grad Night). We headed to Bug's Land first.

And saw Chip and Dale:

I love Bug's Land! I think it is a great place for kids! We did all the rides, except the Catepillar, since we had already done it.

The line for Tower of Terrow was short, so DH and I took turns. We were wasting time for Aladdin.

DD and I found Sleeping Beauty:

It was so sweet, DD had the Princess autograph book, so she was talking to DD about 'her princess friends' on the cover. She really took a lot of time with DD.

205.jpg

Funny, in line in front of us was two teenage boy, by themselves, no sisters or anything. Each took their turn for a picture. I have never seen that before, but she was pretty!

We also saw Sully from Monsters Inc.

208.jpg

After I got off of Tower of Terror we went to the Monster's Inc ride. Great ride! We had fun.

We had preferred seating tickets for Aladdin and we got in line probably about 3pm. After getting in DH went to the restroom, then I took DD. They give you a pass to get back in line. I kept telling DH, we need the front row of the second section on the floor. And sure enough, dead center, first row of the second section. Thank you again DIS!!! Perfect seats!! I had heard it was the best place to see them fly, but forgot reading about the parade! DD was amazed!! What a great show. The Genie was hilarious!!! We laughed. DD even laughed, when she didn't really get what she was laughing at! The Genie really threw in humor for the adults!! I loved it!

When we got out the park was getting ready to close and DH wanted a Chili Dog! So, we ate at the Hot Dog place in Hollywood Backlots, don't remember the name. I had the Italian hot dog. I was stuffed this day!

DCA closed at 6 pm, so we left and along with the crowd headed to DL. We decided to catch the parade and call it good. We found alittle blue house with porch and two chairs on Main Street. Not sure what it is by, but great parade location! We had a great view! We were across from the Penny Arcade.

After the parade we headed to the hotel to pack and get some rest. DD wanted her picture taken by the flowers:

What a great day!! I really feel like we got a lot done and loved Aladdin!

What a wonderful trip report. I love the picture of DD with the flowers. It was a wise choice by her. I think that a lot of the characters change between the characters and if you look closely in the parade sometimes a princess will have an adams apple.

I love all the flower pics, too. It always helps me to remember what the Park looked like on each trip.

My fav pic is you and DD flying on Dumbo with the best smiles!

Did you need reservations for HoB certificate? We have one too.

Thanks for the wonderful report and great pics; you really have seen a lot of charachters!

We also have a certificate for HoB and plan on eating lunch there. Glad to read that you enjoyed it.

Your daughter is beautiful!

Another day of great pics!! We've seen the very same Jasmine.....she's absolutely gorgeous!!! Your daughter didn't seem to sure with Sully!! He's soooo big! The Aladdin show is definitely worth the time to go.....fabulous show!! I'm glad it's not leaving mid-August as first announced! :woohoo:

We had made a reservation for Noon, but didn't really need. I don't even think DH told them we had a reservation. It definitely started picking up, but was never full while we were there.

We ended up filling DD's entire autograph book! Only bummer, we kept missing Pinocchio.

Yeah, she did not like him! And he can't sign the book, so that was a bummer.

So, I am back for our last installment. Life has gotten in the way, sorry for taking so long to finish this.

Our last day we got packed and headed to Disneyland. They didn't open until 9am due to the Grad Night the night before. I had picked up a great idea on here and we knew Princess Fantasy Faire opened at 9, so we headed there. DH headed to get an Autopia FP. When we got to Princess Fantasy Faire we had to wait just a couple of minutes before it was our turn.

We got in there and first up was Belle. All DD could focus on was Princess Tiana! And she was last, so I felt bad for Belle and Ariel!

Belle was awesome!! DD actually has a Belle dress she wore last time we were at DLR that she wore to the Princess lunch. I think Belle is one of her favorite Princesses. She spent a lot of time with DD and had them take a picture of them hugging so on her fifth birthday she could look at it and remember Belle hugging her. My best Belle picture is actually in photopass (ordered the CD today, so will post those when I get them).

We next did some rides to waste time before the Coronation ceremony started. We walked on It's A Small World, no line. We did the carousel and tea cups. DD would always pretent like she was directing the music on IAMW!!

245.jpg

250.jpg

The Coronation Ceremony was cute! First they taught the kids how to dance and be princes and princesses.

263.jpg

Then Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty came out.

282.jpg

283.jpg

Now, we almost left, until we overhead someone ask if they were coming back out. They come back out for pictures and autographs. DD and I got in line for Snow White and DH stood in line for Cinderella. After we were done we ran over to Cinderella. Not sure if that was appropriate or not.

297.jpg

So, I think we ended up seeing every Princess possible?? Wow!!

We headed over to Autopia and decided to let DD get her face painted.

306.jpg

308.jpg

This picture is the main reason we had to do Autopia again. If you will remember, last time, I had memory card issues. So, I had to have this picture!!

We did Pirates one last time and I went single rider on Indiana Jones.

We decided to head to DCA and find lunch. Here is my parting picture of DL

311.jpg

And on the way out we saw the Queen of Hearts and the Rabbit.

315.jpg

We asked about when Pinocchio would be out and he was due in about 20 minutes, but we were hungry. So, never did see Pinocchio.

We got FP for Screamin and found lunch at Moo Moo (?). They have great pizza! And we so needed a cold beer by this point!

DH headed to use his FP, DD and I did Jumpin Jellyfish and she was dying to do the swings. So, we headed to the swings. Then I used my Screamin FP. DH and I each took turns doing Grizzly one last time, and I ended up soaked, I think I was finally dry after getting off the plane at home!

We got an ice cream cone, as you can see DD, enjoyed it!!

322.jpg

And here we are waiting for the DL Express:

329.jpg

The DL Express worked great on the way there, the way back had me a little stressed. They took us to the DLH to catch another bus, but stopped a ton, and did not go on the route inthe brochure at all. But, we ended up there in plenty of time and had time to get dinner.

It was a great trip! I think we will probably wait until 2012 to head down again, next year DH and I are headed to Mexico for our own trip!

I'm so impressed with all the princesses you saw without doing Ariel's Grotto! I greatly enjoyed reading your trip report--and your daughter clearly had a wonderful time!

Oooooh, seeing all your pictures is getting me excited to go back to DLR!

Did anyone else notice that all the princesses, Aladdin, and face characters in general have PERFECT movie star teeth? I wonder if Disney pays for their dental work because movie star teeth cost the equivalent of a small car :)

I got my CD in the mail the other day, so figured I would share some additional pictures. The one with Belle is one of my favorites!

They're great. Thank you for sharing them.:goodvibes

I really enjoyed reading your TR, and got some great tips from you! DH and I are taking our 7yo DD down (we're in WA too) next week, so your experiences were very relevant for us! Good to know what time Princess Fantasy Faire opens and such... I also appreciate the info about HOB - just printed out my certificate:cool1:
