Welcome to anyone who is following along for another cruise trip report with us. :wave2: The cast for this cruise are going to be Scott and I, my Mum, and my sister, Maureen. This is our 3rd cruise together and we were all looking forward to our Eastern Caribbean cruise on the beautiful Disney Fantasy. Mum and Maureen had only been on the Magic so far (pre and post refurb) and so they were looking forward to seeing the newest of the Disney fleet having been on the oldest, but both were pretty sure that the Classic ship was going to be hard to beat. This would be the first time sailing as Platinum members for Scott and I.

So, the story behind this cruise was that I had seen some good VGT rates offered for December, which of course peaks the interest of anybody who is an admitted cruise-a-holic, and so of course I had to just take a peek and see if they had anything for January, even though they weren't listed yet on the Special Offers page. And there they were....just waiting and ready for me to swoop in and make a booking. So, it was 70-something days out, I asked Mum and Maureen if they had any reason to NOT take a cruise in January...none of us could think of a good reason why not and so it was decided "Why not, let's just go". Scott had the chance of there being a possible work conflict, but I figured he'd either work it out, or..... I'd go without him. :rotfl: Ha, ha! No, really, I would have gone without him. :rotfl2:

So here we all are – this was from our cruise in October 2012 although the Goofy guy in the middle wasn't around for breakfast this time.

Travel day to Orlando - Friday, January 23rd.

So, despite everything, Scott managed to figure out a way to get out of a meeting he had and make it on the cruise. This was not a HUGE shock to me.

We got up at 7 am and got ourselves ready, but Scott and I had to work for a bit. Scott had a conference call at 10 am, which was supposed to be only 15 minutes and ended up being 45. At 10:50 am as I was about to chastise him about working too hard, I had a panic call from work and had to scramble to get things done in the last 5 minutes and kept everyone waiting. :faint: We finally abandoned work issues and left the house at 11 am. The drive to the George Bush Intercontinental airport was relatively easy, and it takes just less than an hour with no traffic, so we managed to sail through Houston as it was the middle of the day. It was spitting rain and cold and nasty, so the thought of being somewhere warm and tropical within a day or so was even more appealing. We parked at The Parking Spot and I had already reserved us a space and got a discount coupon off the internet. :thumbsup2 Their shuttle picked us up next to our car and we got to the terminal quickly. There was a bit of confusion checking in because apparently in my haste to get us checked in online the day before, I had marked the wheelchair we were taking along for Mum as a pair of skis! :scratchin They finally got it all figured out and we got through security quickly (although our carry on bag got stuck in the scanner and we had to wait for a security guy to literally climb into the machine to free it up.) popcorn:: We had plenty of time to kill so we went into Bubba’s Restaurant to grab a bite to eat and of course the first drink of the trip!

000.jpg

No pictures of the food but Scott had a grilled chicken sandwich and steamed broccoli (his attempt at being healthy on this trip – ha ha) and all of us ladies had the chicken noodle soup. Nothing exciting there. We got to the gate at 2 pm and didn’t have to wait long for boarding which went smoothly. It was a full plane and there was a bit of turbulence along the way from the nasty cold front that was going across the Gulf of Mexico, but the 2 hour and 10 minute flight went by fast. We landed on time, if not a little bit early, and went and claimed our luggage. We walked over to the Hyatt Hotel and got checked in. I remembered this time to mention at check in that we were leaving on a Disney cruise the next day and got the forms for them to pick up luggage. Mum and Maureen were on the 6th floor and we were on the 9th but it didn’t make any difference to us. We dropped them off at their room with their luggage and went on up to our room and I filled in the forms for the Hyatt luggage pick up. The rooms are nice and it is so convenient to be right there at the airport. There was a separate shower and tub in this room, although I don’t recall that the last time that we stayed.

We decided that since we got such a great rate on the cruise, and seeing as we had been SO good at lunchtime, we should treat ourselves to a steak dinner that night. We met at the hotel’s Hemisphere restaurant on the 9th floor at about 7 pm. The view is of the runways and is fairly pretty at night all lit up (of course I don’t have a picture of it!) Scott had the Arugula and Berries salad and I had Caesar and we shared a bottle of wine. Maureen had a Pina Colada and Mum decided she wouldn’t have anything to drink except water. My salad had whole pieces of anchovy alongside the lettuce and I decided to be brave and cut them up with it….only to pick them all out at the end, I guess I'm not as brave as I like to think I am.

005.jpg

004.jpg

All of us had filet steak, but Mum had the 6 oz that came with scallops, so Scott took those off her hands quite happily. We shared mashed potatoes, mushrooms and asparagus.

006.jpg

For dessert we all shared a creme brûlée, cheesecake and key lime pie, all of which were delicious and devoured easily despite us all saying we couldn’t squeeze in another bite. The food at Hemisphere is really good, although it IS pricey, but it's a great way to start a vacation if you can swing it.

007.jpg

Scott and I took a nightcap back to the room with us and we all wobbled back to our room so that Mum and Maureen could get their luggage tags to tag the bags that the Hyatt would pick up in the morning. Scott swiped the room key as we walked up and it wouldn’t work. After several swipes with the two cards we had, we figured that somehow they had become demagnetized. This is a hotel door, in case you live under a rock, and don't know what a hotel door looks like.:jester:

007.jpg

008.jpg

Scott went down to the check in desk and got two new ones. They didn’t work either.

009.jpg

I called the front desk from one of the courtesy phones and the desk clerk came up with a master key, confidently swiped it, and….nothing! So, he had to call maintenance and we waited for them to arrive. This led to some standing around outside our room, with much chuckling and fun, and then we realized that someone was in the room next door and so we did our best to pipe down! LOL.

010.jpg

011.jpg

A maintenance guy arrived, and then another one, they ended up having to drill out the old lock and replace the entire lock system. I tried to take these photos without him noticing, I figured he would really think I was a crazy lady if he saw me!

012.jpg

013.jpg

While they were busy trying to get the lock fixed we got our overnight stuff unpacked and got our bags all ready to go for the morning. They still weren’t finished, so after double checking with them that they were going to be able to fix it, and we wouldn’t be booted into another room, I took a shower and got ready for bed. I think they finally got done at about 10:15 pm. During all this coming and going, they had offered us a complimentary drink to refill our nightcap, that of course was gone by now. The maintenance guys had gone, but no drink had shown up, we were hoping it wouldn’t and I was going to give them 5 more minutes before I put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door when they showed up at 10:30 pm. Neither of us wanted the drink at that point – LOL I read for a bit before we turned out the lights at about 11 pm. We were meeting Mum and Maureen in Hemisphere for breakfast at 8 am and so we didn’t have too bad of an early morning ahead of us.

Saturday, January 24th – Sail Away Day!

As usual before vaction I managed to be “too excited to sleep” and I woke up really early, before 5 am and tossed and turned until the alarm went off at 7 am. It’s always fun to see this on your DCL app!

000.png

First thing was to look out the window and saw pouring rain and the wind blowing it sideways. The cold front that we had just left in Texas had made it to Florida and was blowing through nicely. We got ready and finished packing our overnight/carryon bag. By then the rain had stopped and it was just grey skies outside.

001.jpg

Mum and Mo texted that they were awake and so we headed to breakfast at about 7:50 am. A nice surprise was that we had 4 vouchers left under the door so breakfast was on the hotel for the inconvenience of last night. Score!! We all had the buffet and the selection was decent with eggs, bacon, sausage and some breakfast potatoes plus the usual cold cereals and oatmeal. None of us wanted a lot to eat after our meal last night so we weren’t there long. We went back to our rooms to pick up our bags and then headed off to check in for the cruise transportation. It is so nice to have everything within walking distance, and not have to face the elements, plus not having to juggle any luggage other than the bags we were carrying on. We arrived at the check in area at about 8:55 and had a short a wait before they started lining people up to check in at 9 am. We hung back and let the crowd go but check in was fast and we were second in line for the second bus.

The bus filled up fast and we were soon on our way to the Port (yay!).

003.jpg

004.jpg

The rain had cleared out and we started seeing blue skies on our drive. They played the cute movie and the trivia games and the journey didn’t seem to take long at all.

04-1.jpg

We got to the port just after 10 am and we were some of the first to check in. The terminal was pretty empty. We got boarding group 1 and Mum and Mo got 5.

Yay for Platinum status!

05-1.jpg

Mum, Maureen and I sat and patiently waited as the terminal began to fill up.

005.jpg

Scott wandered around and got some good photos.

006.jpg

007.jpg

008.jpg

009.jpg

010.jpg

The funny thing on this next one is that I was going to take Mum and Maureen outside to see the ship, but didn’t want to lose our seat…apparently Scott made it out there!

011.jpg

For our viewing pleasure, we got some extra entertainment as security discovered an unattended wheeled carry on bag, and then got a sniffer dog to come and check it out before taking it away. Some poor soul had already lost their stuff and boarding hadn’t even been announced yet! LOL It was right by the model of the Magic, so you know it was someone who was busy photo taking and then forgot it.

The announcement for the family of the day came at 11:30 am and boarding began and quickly moved. We were waiting to board with Mum and Mo and got up as soon as group 5 was called. By the time we had fought our way to the front they were calling 6, which I knew would probably happen, and we weren’t in a hurry, but Mum was nearly run over by a lady who was standing right in front of the crowd (obviously with a 6 boarding number) and took off at almost a run (with her family behind her) regardless of the fact that an 86 year old lady was already going through. >:( That was a little annoying and I gave a scathing look as well as having to bodily protect Mum from being trampled as they tried to get in front of her. :crowded: The swarming crowd waiting to get on is a little annoying, what’s more annoying is that I always forget to put it on my comment card! We swiped our cards and bypassed the very long lines for photographs and were soon walking into the atrium. Ahhhhhh…….life is good again.:cloud9:

After a brief discussion of whether we should book tastings or not straight away we decided to pass until we could make our minds up and headed aft to get the elevators to Cabanas. (Note to self, and anyone else – book them early next time and don’t second guess it!) Scott scored us some good window seats (it was chilly and REALLY windy) and we hit the drink station to make hot tea. Mo had a bite of some roast beef and after a while Scott got some shrimp. Mum and I decided to wait on eating.

012.jpg

It was about 12:30 pm and getting busy inside as it was too cold and windy to sit outside, although it looked beautiful.

At 1:35 pm we headed down to our staterooms, 10148 and 10150. We had booked on a VGT rate and I was very happy that we had been given rooms together, and right by the Aft elevator, which would be really handy for Mum, AND it had an adjoining door, so all in all we were happy. party:

Our Castaway Club gift was waiting for us along with a Duty Free price list (do they customize this based upon your alcohol consumption? Ha ha! :drinking1), a notice about the new Bahamian VAT (tax) of 7.5%, plus the Shopping Show literature.

Our cabins had an obstructed verandah, which was a little disappointing as it really limited picture taking but the extra overhang really helped block out the chilly wind. I don't think I would pick these particular rooms again, but that's part of the VGT risk, and it by no means made our vacation less fun!

All of our luggage with the exception of Mum’s 2 pieces had arrived before 1:30 pm. By the time we unpacked hers had arrived too and so we were completely unpacked by about 3:00 pm. We waited for muster drill in our cabins and went down about 15 minutes early so that Mum could use the elevator. OK – gripe ahead – you are warned! To be honest, this was the most unorganized muster we have ever been too. You couldn't hear because of the constant chatter from the other passengers around us, despite being told several times by the crew that they needed to be quiet, and then right at the end, two really tall people came and stood in the front of our line and so you couldn’t see anything either, it really was a total waste of time and I made a point to write it in my notes to remember to put it on the comment card! (I should have remembered to do this about the boarding procedure – LOL) Gripe Over. :goodvibes

Once the drill was over we crowded with all the other “salmon” heading back upstream to get back to our staterooms and picked up our cameras to head up to Satellite Falls for sail away. We bypassed Deck 11 along the away with the party going on.

We pulled away from the dock right on time.

027.jpg

Mo (if you hadn’t figured out by now, we call my sister Mo for short :thumbsup2) got on the phone with her daughter and they watched us on the webcam as we sailed away. Our friend in the UK, Mandy, was watching as well and grabbed these shots of us. Thanks Mandy for staying up late to do that!! (I don't know who the people were to the left of us, in fact I didn't even think anyone was standing around us!)

We don’t always arrange ourselves by height, but when we do….

Right after sail away we went back to our rooms as it was cold and really windy. Scott took this photo, which I thought was kinda neat. He often takes artsy-fartsy photos….I don’t always think they are neat. :rotfl:

030.jpg

I clicked this one as the sun was setting but it was over the other side and I was too lazy to go out of the room and get a better one. :rotfl2:

We all just chatted and watched a bit of TV before dinner. We had met our room hostess, Reiza from Indonesia, earlier (forgot to mention her) and she was awesome and totally on top of everything. She had our luggage to our room before we even got there, had a snafu with Mum and Mo's safe fixed before we even got back from muster drill and in general was just fun, talkative and a happy person to be around! :thumbsup2

We were going to be in Animator’s Palate tonight for our AERAAER rotation and had second seating at 8:15 pm. We got down to Animator’s just after 8:15 pm and met our servers for the first time. They were great the entire cruise, Andrew from Jamaica was our server, Bagus from the Philippines was our assistant server and Jaime from Portugal was our Head server. I asked Andrew if he could take a photo of us every evening…this is the first one and he never missed once!

031-1.jpg

After the usual introductions and explanations we got down to the business of ordering.

Delicious bread first which we ate every night like we would never see bread again!

032.jpg

I had Baked Potato Soup and Beef Tenderloin.

033-1.jpg

035.jpg

Scott had Serrano Ham, Endive Salad and Beef Tenderloin as well (you only get one picture of that :o.)

033.jpg

034.jpg

Desserts were Chocolate Duo for me and Mango Mousse for Scott.

036-1.jpg

036.jpg

The servers did magic tricks for us every evening. The one tonight involved crayons, a cow and a sword cocktail stick (see picture of Scott's mango mousse above) and some of them were really clever and fun and we all tried to commit those to memory so that we could be funny magicians when we got home. pixiedust:

So back to all this eating and festivity...I have to put this in because it was too funny to leave out. The two servers decided to be very charming and cut Mum and Mo's steaks for them. HA!! Hilarious!! Neither Mum or Mo thought it was particularly funny, and Mum told Andrew she was 86, not 6!! Remember this for tomorrow's dinner write up. :stir: These photos literally have me chuckling right now looking at them again. :rotfl:

037.jpg

038.jpg

Scott and I bought the 7 night wine package and enjoyed a bottle of red that night. Mum and Mo had one of the drinks off the menu, which looked yummy…Blueberry something, although the only blueberries were the ones on the cocktail stick. I think the agreement was “OK, but wouldn’t get again”.

039.jpg

Sufficiently stuffed we decided to all just go back to our cabins. Scott and I took our left over wine to enjoy in the room and found this fish/whale waiting for us. Aww...

040.jpg

We both showered and I did my trip report write up :surfweb: (point to me for actually doing it as I went along as opposed to just SAYING I am going to do it!) and we were in bed by 10:40 pm. I was really surprised by the noise from Cabanas above us, as the restaurant wasn’t even open this evening but we could hear tables and chairs being moved around and it was quite noisy for a little while. After some careful reconnaissance work :magnify:, we think that some of the ship’s officers have meetings in there the nights that Cabanas is closed to guests, as this also happened later in the week, and there were very large table groups set up. I had earplugs packed, so I popped those in and got to sleep easily after that with the rocking of the waves....:cloud9:

Sunday – At Sea Day – January 25th.

I was up early and took a quick photo of the sunrise but decided that it was silly to be up that early so I went back to bed.

001.jpg

We finally got up about 7:30 am and I ordered coffee from room service. My trick is to offer to order room service so that Scott will want coffee more than he wants to sleep. 99% of the time this works exceptionally well. ;)

002-1.jpg

Mum and Mo were also up and we all enjoyed a beautiful morning on our verandahs while we figured out what we were going to do for the day.

002.jpg

003.jpg

004.jpg

005.jpg

General consensus was Cabanas for breakfast, one flight up the stairs and it’s right there – very convenient. We all got something but this is the only photo that we had.

006.jpg

We went back to our cabins to pack a bag and go to Satellite Falls for the morning. When we got up there it was so beautiful and warm that Mo and I came back to our cabins and changed into bathing suits and I took Scott's up there for him as he was particularly comfortable and moving would have been a near impossibility.

A beautiful day to be doing absolutely nothing.

007.jpg

008.jpg

The water in Satellite falls was lovely but it was windy and so was a bit chilly when you got out. The ship was rolling just enough that the water was sloshing around and making it fun to hang on and stay in your spot. We had said no to drinks about 5 times already, and that seemed a bit silly to me, why would we make these men walk around for no reason?? So I took advantage of the mimosa special and Mo had a Bloody Mary, Scott had a beer and Mum had a Pina Colada.

Mo stayed in longer than me, she’s better at chilly than I am. Here she is trying to avoid a photo. Didn’t work.

009.jpg

I believe that there might also have been a Bahama Mama thrown into the mix at some point. Yes, there’s a photo of it (and it’s on the internet….so it had to be true). :goodvibes

010.jpg

We decided to go back to cabanas for lunch at 1:30 pm. There is a bar in the back of Cabanas which was news to me (which itself is probably shocking to those that know me).

011.jpg

Lunch was good, everyone was getting into the swing of being relaxed and the craziness of Cabanas on Embarkation day had calmed down.

After lunch we went back to our cabins and Mum, Mo and I went down to guest services and tried to book whiskey tastings but they were sold out (booo – shoulda booked yesterday!) so we booked the Italian cocktail session instead (never say we are quitters) and added our gift cards from Christmas to our room. We took a quick look around the gift shops although we didn’t buy anything (yet) and then came back to our cabins for a nap. It had, after all, been a very busy day so far!! While I was gone our Platinum gift arrived. I had chosen Prosecco because the other choices were not alcohol. :p

013.jpg

After a few hours of recuperating from doing nothing by doing…nothing…we all decided to go to the Walt Disney Theatre and watch the show Aladdin at 6:15 pm. We left a little early to get a decent seat and it was a good show. Scott said it was his favorite so far of all the shows we have seen, although I don’t think it was mine. We aren’t big “show” people as that would require us to get up and move and actually DO something, so that was the only one we saw this trip.

Somewhere in here Scott went up to Meridian bar and took these lovely sunset photos, I think it had to be before the show but I’m stuffing them in here and there are a few of them because it’s pretty and they make me sigh and wish I was there again.

Tonight was formal night so after the show we came back and showered and changed. Scott discovered that his shirts weren’t quite as nice and crispy pressed as they had been when we packed so he went off in search of the laundry room and ironed his shirt. Let me say that again for those of you that might have just skipped on over it. HE….IRONED…HIS…OWN…SHIRT!! :scared:

We were in Enchanted Garden this evening and despite seeing some beautiful formal outfits down in the Atrium when we passed through after the show, hardly anyone was dressed up at all on the tables around us.

Here’s the bread…quick take a picture before we eat it all (notice the hand creeping in already)!!

018-1.jpg

Andrew took our photo for us.

018.jpg

Mum had something chocolatey off the menu but I don’t remember what it was. Looks good though. Remember the food cutting ceremony from last night? Well, poor Andrew started to try and cut Mum's food tonight, so she somewhat politely slapped his hand like a 5 year old and told him NO!! It was funny, and he got the point, and laughed...and the food cutting was never attempted again. :-)

018-2.jpg

I had the lobster ravioli, spinach and raspberry salad, sea bass, and esterhazy dessert.

023.jpg

024.jpg

025.jpg

026.jpg

I didn’t write in my notes what Scott had (notes were a bit sketchy tonight…reason to be disclosed shortly) but here’s the photos.

022.jpg

We all also shared a sticky date pudding.

027.jpg

After stuffing ourselves silly (again) we decided to go for a walk around.

028.jpg

Scott had found a(nother) bar (no, say it isn’t true) that we’d never been to on the deck plans and so we headed up into the stack to find Outlook. It’s used for private events but we peeked in anyway.

Good view of the Quiet Cove pool

Just as we were leaving we passed someone from security getting out of the elevator…hmmm…maybe you aren’t supposed to be in there after all??

From there we went to the Skyline Lounge. Scott and I had completely missed this on our last trip on the Fantasy, so we wanted to check it out.

Mum and Mo didn’t stay long. Scott and I should have followed their lead! I asked about the Passport which is where you get 7 drinks for the price of 5. I know this because our friends Mandy and Paul (Mandymouse) told me about it :).

OK, so disclosure coming up. We drank the entire Passport. There’s no way to sugar coat it, we drank them all! At least the bar tender made us feel better by telling us that one lady had drunk all 7 on her own in one night (Mandy, was that you??) and at least we split them. :dance3:

Here they all are – I don’t remember what was what, but I would like to point out the water that was consumed along with them, because, you know, that makes ALL the difference! Scott immediately decided he didn't like his first one, so they made him Manhattans for his, while I continued to choose off the menu. :drinking1 The really sad thing is that none of them were any that I would order again, but we can say we went to Skyline! :thumbsup2

The menu lights up so it’s really easy for inebriated people to keep ordering drinks. :lmao:

Being sensible people, we chose to have our late drinking night tonight. Why is this particularly silly? Because this was on the bed when we got back. :faint:

Love your report! Can't wait to read more. I love the drink pics and light up menu at Skyline - I didn't see that when we were there but am going to check it out next cruise!

Monday – At Sea Day & Palo Brunch – January 26th.

I woke up at 7:00 am and took a photo.

Scott wasn’t having any part of getting up, and I was happy to get a bit more sleep so I went back to bed and we were lazy and didn’t get up until about 11 am. No big surprise there seeing as we had gone to bed in the wee hours of the morning, plus the cocktail count from last night was still swishing around in my tummy. Alka Seltzer to the rescue so that I could continue to pile food and drink in! Mum and Mo went to Cabanas without us and also went and sat at “Serenity Falls”. We got a kick out of that, my sister thinks they should rename it.

We eventually dragged ourselves out of bed and got ready for Palo brunch at noon.

They sat us in Meridian bar until it was time for us to go into Palo. The photos didn’t come out great because of the light coming through the windows, but you get the drift. We were there and we were about to eat.....again! I will make sure to mention though, that none of us had eaten breakfast today (as if that really matters based on the following photos).

They look thrilled to be there, don't they? :rotfl:

They seated us by the window and we all settled in for yet another meal!

Luan from South Africa was our server, very young and friendly. He had been on the Wonder and then taken some time off, so was now back on the Fantasy as it was the first available opening for a Palo server. The buffet items looked delicious, as always.

Breakfast breads, fruits and the warm sticky buns.

Seafood items.

Antipasto.

Desserts

This was our first time going when they served the food from the buffet for you, and to be honest, I found that I got way more food than I would have done if I had just served myself. They piled it on!!

This was my plate.

And this was Scott’s.

We each had a mimosa, although Mum didn’t drink hers, so Mo helped her out.

I had Eggs Benedict followed by lasagna.

Scott had the Filet and then pancakes. The hot items are fairly limited for him as he doesn’t like cheese (I know…he’s wierd!!):yoda:

Scott and I each got a plate of desserts that we semi-shared.

And we ordered a peach soufflé for the table, well, actually, we ordered two. This was the first time we had been offered this, and it was really good. Not what I was expecting, it was half a peach, with an almond topping on top of it. Delicious though...of course.

So having stuffed ourselves silly yet again, we went back to our cabins and changed into more comfy clothes. We decided to go and check out the rest of Europa and ended up in O’Gills to play TV Tunes trivia at 2:45 pm. :chat:

Although I can't believe I am actually typing this... we managed to get another drink down us! o_O Bahama Mama for Mo, Cider for me and Stella for Scott. No wonder I need to go on a diet now!! :scared:

We had to wait a bit for the quiz to start, so more photo taking.

The trivia was fun, although we were not good at it at all!! I think we got 8 out of 15, which was a miracle in itself! We don’t know any of the kids Disney TV stuff, so we immediately missed out on about 5 of them. Thankfully Mo knew at least one because of her granddaughter or we’d have been really up the creek.

Needless to say, we didn't win the coveted DCL key chain! We finished our drinks and wandered out of O’Gills and found a restroom. They are incredibly beautiful for a loo!

And continued our walk around to try and get some of that food and drink worked off a little.

We decided to head back to our cabins and we all settled in for a very lazy afternoon. Scott and I watched Prince of Persia and then he watched John Carter. popcorn::

I wandered in and out and took a couple of pictures from our verandah while I was at it. That was at least 20 steps, and 5 whole calories burned!! :yay:

Of course it was now time to eat again (groan!). Dinner tonight was in Royal Court and we pried ourselves away from our oh-so-busy TV watching. Our table (93) was in the small room to the side of the restaurant, there is a room on each side, and we liked it. It's away from the main dining room, so you don't get to see all the decor, but it was quieter.

Prince and Princess menu tonight and Andrew was all dressed up for the occasion.

This was the fruity, off-the-menu drink for the evening, but neither Mum or Maureen thought it was that great.

Bread in the cute little carriage basket.

Scott and I both had escargot and lamb. We had never tried the escargot until our last cruise as we always shied away from cooked snails (like any normal person would), but we actually REALLY liked them. It’s all that butter and garlic, you hardly notice the snail!

Andrew had Mum giving the magic touch to his magic trick tonight. :wizard:

I don’t know what Scott had for dessert, if anything. But this is what I got.

We went straight back to our cabins tonight, no dirty stop outs for us today.

Reiza had left a cute towel bunny. We noticed they are using the blanket a lot more for the animals on your bed. I’m sure they go through a bunch of towels that are never really used other than to make animals otherwise.

We were in bed by 10:30 pm tonight and set up our wake up call for 7 am as we are in St. Thomas tomorrow!! :cool1:

What a great start Jenny, loving the alcohol count already :worship:

Thanks for the photo of a hotel room door, I've never been too sure, lol

I hate how everyone stands around blocking the way onboard too, I will try and remember to put it on my comment card next time ::yes::

Ooh, you cheeky monkey, no it wasn't me who drank the whole passport in one evening lol, did you try the one with the shot of champagne, that's delish :)

Anyway, great start and looking forward to reading about your antics on the islands ::yes::

Ha ha! I knew it wasn't you for the Passport because he said she came in alone. :goodvibes

I can't remember if I had the one with champagne, I'll have to take a closer look at the menu again. :confused3
