First step to road trip to Disney done....

Here's our "plot"....for all to see...we've done this trip quite a few times, and this time I'm spreading out the second day a bit....normally we only go to St. Augustine, so this way our 3rd and final day of driving will be shorter for the kids...

That's one thing we always try to do, make the 1st day the longest- then shorten them as you go...kids are always more interested in riding during the beginning legs...or at least my DD's are this way.

here it is- and these are MY times, not rand mcnally or mapquests etc.. they are usually off by at least 1.5 hours..

Depart Vermont-
1st night in Emporia, VA Miles- 630- Time 9 hours..

2nd night- Brunswick, GA- 470 miles- 6.5 hours-

then our final day of driving- to Orlando is only 211 miles...this should put us at a very relaxed pace arriving...we plan to stop at St. Augustine and hang out at the beach for a bit, since the DD's LOVE the place...we can leave our hotel around 9, hang on the beach for an hour or so, and still arrive before check-in requests...(3pm in our case)...

Sounds very "do-able".

WE always stop in Brunswick on our way down, and in Emporia on the way home.
