Our Homemade Monster High Doll House Made DD's Christmas!!

My sweet little DD8 is totally obsessed with the Monster High dolls. DH and I made her her very own MH dollhouse using an old wooden Barbie house that was collecting dust in the playroom. I was inspired by fellow Dis'er Stitch76's dollhouse last year and just wanted to say thanks! I even used some of the same posters! We painted it black and used scrap paper from the craft store for the rooms. I added some ornaments and stickers as well. I am so proud of how it came out and and just had to share with my budget minded dis peeps. The whole thing cost us less than $50. I couldn't think of what to do with the elevator and then it hit me! You know we just had to add a little Disney in there lol! She was so thrilled this morning and has been playing with it all day

It is fun to make something yourself and she will love it. I still remember my favorite Barbie house was one my mother made for me! She made cool furniture for it and everything. I still have some of the furniture.

A few years later, I got the actual store bought Barbie house. I enjoyed it too, but to this day my favorite is the one my mom made for me!

Sooooo cute!!! I made my DDs a dollhouse a few years ago from a kit...took months to finish but they don't play with it anymore. You have inspired me to do a renovation!

Thanks everyone We are going to start on redoing the furniture we have from the old house. I'm loving these new duct tape rolls.....see the bed at the bottom...I redid that with zebra duct tape. So easy..if I can do it anyone can lol!
