Our home resort is SSR, and we love it - however,

This time, just to see what all of the excitement was about, we decided to stay at BLT. It was absolutely fantastic! I have never been a big "view" person, but BLT will change your mind. Lesson learned - be adventuresome!

We love our 1st home resort for the location... however, we added on at BLT for Location & view! We're looking forward to our 1st stay with a MK view this year.

We own at both ssr and blt and really do enjoy ssr but dw would trade every ssr point for blt points today.

We were blown away by the 1BR MK view this past December. I'm so glad I was able to talk DH into adding on there. We loved it. Glad you enjoyed it!

I own at SSR and typically stay at all the resorts since we visit 6 or 7 times a year. We stayed at BLT during our recent October trip in a Dedicated 2-Bedroom unit. It was absolutely awesome. I believe the square footage at BLT is just as large as the 2-Bedrooms at OKW. Anyway, we loved BLT so much, we have reserved a room there for our upcoming June, July, August, and October trip this year. Yes, I booked at the 7 month window and never had any difficulty with availability for any of the trips. We have 2 young children so the convenience of the monorail to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT is golden. The bus transportation is okay but an inconvenience folding up the baby stroller when boarding. Either way, DVC works for me!

So glad you enjoyed BLT!! We just returned from our first trip home and loved it!! Of Course, we have only had 2 DVC trips so far but also stayed at OKW and really loved the atmosphere there. Upcoming is AKV for the youngest Bday then TBD for the oldest Bday (He wants BCV or BWV).

Thanks for posting. We usually stay at our home resort, SSR, but we're hoping to get into BLT in November. It's good to know someone who likes SSR as much as we did was thrilled with BLT.

Was there anything you didn't like about BLT compared to SSR?

Feel the same way. We have always loved OKW and SSR. Never like the Contemporary theming so wasn't at all interested when BLT was announced.
UNTIL we did the tour at SSR. I am so excited for our first stay in 12 days!!

really think that next year once BLT sells out - it will be harder to get.

definitely love it.

sold OKW to get it - will be upset next year if non-blt owners are still getting it easy.

have a standard view and can see fireworks from my room.

We also LOVE SSR, even staying there over Memorial Day

I predict that lake view rooms will be easier to get than the other views, but agree with Spiceycat...once it sells out, getting availability at the 7 month window will not be the same as it is now.

As an owner, even booking at the 11 month window showed some dates unavailable

understand - I waited over 15 years - brought in 1993. was not letting a DVC monrail resort get away.

It is even better than in my dreams.
