Our Holiday/Birthday Trip Report - Tons of Pics! : )

All of your pictures are FANTASTIC!!!

Thank you!

Thanks for your report - great pics. It is so cool how your DD8 was chosen for Drawn to The Magic.

This is my favourite picture, the way he's looking at Snow White

Thanks! I thought that was cute how he is was looking at her too! :goodvibes

Love all the pictures. The decorations are amazing.

How fun that your Dd got chosen for the Drawn to the Magic show because of her birthday button. That kind of special recognition goes a long way towards making a trip magical. :goodvibes

Thank you! Yes, we always seems to get lucky and have something extra magical like that happen on our trips....:wizard:

Oooh what awesome pictures!! The castle looks beautiful!! I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time. :)

Thanks Caseystigger! :)

Great report! I can't see the fotos here at work, I'll have to check them out at home. Is this the Character Encyclopedia you have? http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Junior-Encyclopedia-Animated-Characters/dp/1423116704/ref=pd_sim_b_1 ~ looks fun.

Yes, that is it! :thumbsup2

Wonderful pictures, they have inspired me to make sure we take in the parade when we go! glad you had such a great time,

Thanks - we aren't big parade people usually, but this one was really cute and my girls really enjoyed it (and we didn't have to wait a long time for it!)

Howdy! I'm the DIS-er who commented on your LGMH while we were in the restroom at Space Mountain. :thumbsup2 It was fun to read about your whole trip, and I loved all the terrific photos. What a perfect time of year to visit! While it was pouring pouring pouring rain in Seattle, we were cavorting in the sun in a holiday wonderland. It was nice to meet you!

Hi Circusgirl! It was so nice to meet you too! :goodvibes I was so excited to meet a DISer....DH couldn't believe someone actually noticed the LGMH! Hope you had a great trip too! I just saw on your countdown that you are going again soon....HAVE FUN!!

Great trip report and great photos! You got there the day we left.

I had to laugh when I saw that you bundled up the first day. We were melting and wishing we had brought shorts. Even in T-shirts we just couldn't cool off, it was soooo hot for us. But at least we didn't mind getting wet on any rides.

I had never heard of musical chairs we'll have to try that the next time we're there. But I'm afraid my kids might be a bit old by then since we only get to DL every few years.

Glad you had a magical trip!

We saw some people in shorts and t-shirts in the evenings and figured they must be from a much colder climate! :)

Great report and love the photos - really neat compositions, felt like you were seeing the park from a very different view.

Wow, you just have the best pictures! I want your camera! ;)

Speaking of pictures...I looked for myself in them. We were there the 16th, 17th, 19th and 20th. Didn't see myself though. :) I'll have to look for you in my pics. I need to start a TR once I figure out how to post pics. We just got home yesterday, though - 18 day road trip including stops to visit friends and family - and there are a few other things I need to do first. We arrived home last night at 10 pm to a broken furnace (the temp in the house was mid-40s :scared1:) and thawed food in the freezer.

Back to your TR... I wanted to sit across from Crystal Arcade during the evening parade so we grabbed our spot at 5:00 for the 6:30 parade. I took my 3 boys one at a time to have their silhouettes done while the others saved our parade spot. I was disappointed - I honestly can't see my kids in them. I had watched a video on youtube of a lady that has been doing it there for decades (I wanna say her name is Sylvia?) and I was hoping she would be there, but that's not who we got. I wonder if you and I had the same lady.

Sounds like you had another great trip! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

Sylvia is the gal that has done every one of our silhouttes previously (I believe she has been there over 30 years) and I kind of regret not asking when she was going to be there and just coming back. :sad1:

Thank you so much for the idea to use the book to get character autographs, I ordered mine today and booked our next trip! By the way what kind of camera did you use?

If you figure it out let me know. I got a photobucket account so that I could post pictures here and even after reading on the FAQs thread I still can't figure it out. All I can do is post a link to each picture. :confused3 I must be technologically challenged.

There are some great photos in here, mine wouldn't be that good.

Laura, I figured it out. I'll just give you the step by step and try to be as clear as possible. I'm on the technically challenged side of things myself, but I found some good instructions. After you upload your picture, click on "back to album" or "return to album." When your mouse rolls over your photo there, a menu appears with 4 codes for the photo. Left button click to highlight the IMG code. Right click to get the menu to "copy." Click on "copy." Go back into your TR and then right click again and click on "paste." The code shows up and then when you submit, your pic is posted.

You're right, lots of great pics around here. I'm not adding anything that's "never before been seen," but it's still fun for me to see my pictures a bigger size than they normally are. :)

Kayla's Mom, I hope it's OK that I put these instructions here. :goodvibes

I can't take credit for the book idea -- I got that from other DISers! :thumbsup2 DH used a Canon EOS 40D.

Of course!! It took me awhile to figure out how to post pictures too, but SO easy once you know how! :goodvibes

This is an amazing Trip Report and we are planning to go in mid November 2010 so it was great to see what the weather will be like, and the crowds!! Thanks so much for sharing :)

PS> You take amazing photos, what kind of camera do you have?

Sorry - just saw this, DH is the photographer and he uses a Canon EOS 40D.

Loved the TR, particularly the great photos. One of these days, I'm going to see DL when it's decorated for the holidays.

We were there from the 13th to the 19th, was looking for myself in your pics too.

Wasn't the parade awesome??

Loving your pics!!:tinker:
