Our Halloween Pop adventure with a 32 year old Disney Newbie -Trip report link pg. 34

the new schedule looks great! :thumbsup2 and may i recommend wolfgang puck express at DTD marketplace for your CS the day you're eating there. it's the BEST CS on property in my opinion!

i think not having to worry about a CS on your MNSSHP day is a good decision. there is SO MUCH to do at the party and you'll need the time to enjoy yourself and not rush. do NOT miss the parade or fireworks at the party - they're incredible! i can't remember if you're reading my september 2008 TR (the vandy girls one) but we went to MNSSHP if you'd like to read about our experience there. erica (the friend i went with) has a handy-dandy index at the beginning so it's very easy to find where the party is. you may already be reading it and i'm just forgetting!

I haven't been reading that one - but maybe I should be :surfweb: This will actually be our 3rd MNSSHP - we just love it :thumbsup2 I think the parade and fireworks are worth the cost of the ticket for sure. SIL is going to get spoiled on her first trip - that's for sure!

Chef Mickey's not serving dinner until 5:00 is what threw me off - the idea of skipping TS that day and doing 2 another day just didn't occur to me. I'm glad you brought up the timing so that I thought harder about it. Thanks again!

Ok, I've done some thinking and gotten advice, this was my first plan:

So based on advice given, I'm thinking of not doing a table service on our MNSSHP day and doing two another day. So here's what I have come up with...

10/25 - arrive in Orlando late, so just checking in and catching some food

10/26 - am Magic Kingdom, pm Epcot (Illuminations) ADR: Crystal Palace 8:00am and Biergarten 6:30

10/27 - am resort and rest, early pm DTD, BBB. pm - MNSSHP at MK. No ADR this day, CS at POP and DTD.

10/28 - sleep in, head to Epcot spend the day in World Showcase. ADR: Chef Mickey's 7:30pm

10/29 - Animal Kingdom ADR: Tusker house 5:00

10/30 - am - DHS; PM Magic Kingdom - Spectro and Wishes ADR: 1900 Park Fare 5:30

10/31 - am Epcot; pm - Halloween activities at resort or DTD ADR: CRT 2:30

11/1 - Go home :sad1:

Okay I went back and read most of your PTR to refresh my memory.....

Your ADR plan looks good with the change that was mentioned.....

Have you considered having SIL watch your DD for a few hours and having a date night? I've done it several times with Wendy and Derek. I've watched the kids while they go out for dinner......

That's a good call! I think we'll do all our ADR's together, but even a walk around the resort or some time on the boardwalk some evening would be nice :thumbsup2

Yup. I'm sure your DD would LOVE alone time with Auntie!

Carriage Ride at POR....
Walk on the Boardwalk
Walk on the beach at the Poly
A walk around the World Showcase
Even a walk along Hourglass Lake at Pop!

Sometimes parents forget to take time for each other.

Woo hoo, that is exciting you got your tickets! The new designs are so cute.

oh, then you're an old pro! i think i knew that and just forgot.

I don't think anyone is ever a pro at Disney - there is so much. I've still never come across Cinderella's coach at the party - that's my goal this year.

Doug just shakes his head and laughs at me. He knows we always have a fun vacation though, so he puts up with it.

They are cute! There is an option to print your own now, so you don't have to pay shipping, but I figured the shipping was worth getting the cute cards. Now I just have to keep them safe for 3 months.

Being the Disney geek I've become I just made a spreadsheet of our desired ADR's to bring with me next weekend, so I know what I want and can write down what I get :thumbsup2 I'll share it with you all since I know you can appreciate it.

I like your spreadsheet. I have one of my own. I'm still bummed when I see your dates, it would have been fun to meet after we helped each other with our trips. :)

It is a bummer - I'm just missing you and then Kathy is coming just after us. Next time I just have to check with the Dis before I book ;)

Thanks for the good luck - what I really need are good cell phone reception vibes :wizard:

And don't knock McD's romantic qualities - I met my Dh when we both worked there in highschool - there must be something in that grease because here we are almost 20 years later :rotfl:

Yay for the Mickey Mail!

I was so excited - it's the best mail :yay:

I'm going to MickeyDs right now...either a Big Mac Combo or Chicken Selects Combo....and a Double Cheeseburger....want anything?

I met my first DH at McDonalds. We both worked there...well you all know there is a second DH now, so you can tell how fond I am at those memories of McDonalds. LOL! I do like the food still though. In fact taking DD there on Wed with a friend.
