Hotel:
Never be afraid of staying at a value resort. We looked at fancier ones and decided this was the best bang for the buck after all. Great mousekeeping, super helpful and friendly CM's at the desks and the food court. Just a great stay.
Outsourcing of bell hop/luggage services etc...is a very, very, very bad idea on Disney's part. That was our one complaint (giving away our wheelchair) but it's not a value resort problem, it's across the board from what I hear.
CM's: Was it just me, or did there seem to be an enormous group of CM's Earning Their Ears? Everywhere we went, people were being trained. It wasn't a problem, just slowed some things down and made me curious as to the reason why.
The training the CM's get in regards to handicapped people must be outstanding. My parents had a great trip, and a lot was due to how they were treated. I would never hesitate to go back with someone else in need of assistance.
Tour Groups: What can I say? I hate them. Sorry Brazil, but you need to teach your children manners as the ones who invade Disney (and the chaperones too) have absolutely none. That was the one down side to our trip and we will never go after July 14th again. I know, it seems like a funny date, but we always go 2-3 days after the 4th of July and have no trouble with crowds. The same was true this year up until mid-week of our trip. Oh well, if that's the worst I can say about our vacation, it was a pretty darn good vacation.
Food: Stay the heck away from Pecos Bill's and Donald's Breafastaurous. A Turkey Leg and a frozen coke make a perfectly acceptable dinner, especially when followed with a Dole Whip
Try new places! we were in a rut and found some great new restaurants this trip.
Family: I can't say enough how great it was to share this place with my family. The memories we have will keep us warm on many a cold N.E. night and years into the future when some of us are no longer around. Always take time to spend with your family and cherish your loved ones.
Thanks all......and Mickey, if you're reading this....See Ya' Real Soon!
