Our Free Trip to WDW, What went right and what went wrong!! A Big Thank You!

After finally finding out luggage, we head of to the shuttle service. We checked in with the shuttle service and were then given one of those light-up beeper thingys. So we found some benches and I called home to check on my babies. Things were fine at home. The beeper lit up, DH and I grabbed our bags and hopped in the van. I could not stop smiling, I was almost there.
There it was, the Beach Club. It smelled wonderful! We walked in to the lobby and I had to fight to keep the tears of joy from pouring from my eyes. We walked right up to the counter to check-in. The very nice but very formal CM asked if we had ever been here before, I said that I had been to Disney but this was the first time staying on-site. AND this was DH first time for everything. He smiled and nodded and kept typing away at the computer. He had us our keys and the 'packet' and proceeded to tell us that we have been upgraded to the concierge floor.
You're kidding me!! 
In the elevator we go!
As I step off the elevator, Vilma the concierge, greet me by name!
I had to look behind me, to see who she was talking to. (Remember, she DID greet me by MY name.) Both she and DH had a good laugh!
She explained about all the good stuff that happens on the coveted Concierge Floor.
We find out room and just take everything in...I keep pinching myself b/c I still feel like this is a dream!
I then call my mother to rub it in that I am in Disney World and she is not, aren't I the good little daughter?!
This is the room, I thought it was very cute!!
I loved the vanity, had to have a picture!!
We quickly change into shorts and head over to EPCOT!!

Since you can walk to EPCOT, that was our first destination! It was a great walk.
The Beach Club on the way to EPCOT, and my backside (which is also my good side )
We walked around the world showcase until we came to Norway, I was starving!! So I got a open face turkey and jarlsburg cheese sandwich, I americanized it by putting some mustard on it, with a coke. We sat and gobbled that up in no time flat! Then we headed to Germany, DH wanted BEER!!! He got a Brat with kraut and a lowenbrau (don't think that's spelled right). He shared with me and I even tasted the beer. I kinda liked it, no funky after taste.
As we were eating, the clock went off and I snapped a picture.
We walked through Morocco and watched a belly dancer. I had to pull my DH, we was enthralled with her!
In France, I bought a crepe with strawberries, holy moly was that good! At this point, one of my contacts rip, talk about painful. So we walk back to the hotel for a new contact!

More, more please! Hubby and I have done a few (non-Disney) trips without kids--aren't they nice? Hard to leave them at first, but so worth it!

Ugh...rocky start huh? Well, it just makes you appreciate the Disney service that much more! So happy that you guys won the trip and upgraded to concierage...awesome! Anxiously awaiting to hear about your adventures in the world!

My brother and I did a week in WDW at the BC Concierge a few years ago. My wife still wouldn't fly because of 9-11.
Anyway, we loved it! Those snacks they put on top of the TV armoire never had a chance. We ate everthing in that basket like three times! Probably cost me like $200!
My wife also packs a month in advance. I do it the night before.
Keep 'em coming!

Let's see where did I leave off......
Oh Yeah.....
One of my contacts was ripped. So I ducked into a bathroom in the France Pavilion and tried to remove the offending piece of plastic. Well, a piece was still on my eyeball. Those who wear contacts know the feeling of PAIN
a wearer gets when you cannot get the little SOB out. I had to 'cry' it out. I did receive some very weird looks from the women in the bathroom while I am 'crying' 
Finally, had everything under control and off we went back to the BC. I put in a fresh contact

and decided to head to the pool. The pool was Awesome with the sand on the bottom. Dh and I found the hot tub! 
There was another you woman there and we struck up a conversation. Blissful, peaceful until some punk kid and his partner in crime jumped into the hot tub.
Yes folks, I said jumped!!
Happy, I was NOT!! The other woman told them if they wanted to play around go back in to the pool. Go her! they quieted down for about two seconds and then DH said something to them and they left. I love that man!!
After a good soak, we changed and caught the monorail from Epcot to the TTC and looked at the line to ride the monorail to the MK.
A fast thinker that I sometimes am, I grabbed Dh;s hand and we ran down to the ferry! It was practically empty! After we got on board, they closed the ramp behind us and off the MK we went!!
We were hungry again so we headed over to Pecos Bills for some hardy grab!! I can almost taste that burger!! As we sat outside and ate, a couple high school marching bands came by. Well, okay, that was neat.
Off to Pirates, Pre-Johnny Depp!!
As many times as I have ridden this ride in my life, I still get butterflies in my tummy!! I pointed out scenes that were replayed in the Black Pearl movie to my husband.
After Pirates, it was over to the Haunted Mansion!!! My ALL TIME favorite ride!! In the stretching room, I hid in my Dh's arms b/c I still get scared!!
The next conversation went like this:
Me = Hey, IASW, Come on lets ride
DH = I dont think so
Me = (whiny voice) Aw, come on why not?
DH just rolls his eyes and keeps walking.
Off to Buzz Lightyear, where I thoroughly embarrass my Dh with my super awesome score!! The parade was going on so we stopped to watch and did a little shopping. We jumped on the bus to the BC and slept like the dead!!

That morning we had ADR at O'Hana's!!
Crap, we over slept!! We raced around to get ready!! We asked Vilma, our concierge the quickest way to get to the Poly!! Bus to MK Monorail to Poly.
Okay great got it!! So DH and I ran to the bus stop! From then on....every...thing...was...in...slow...mo..tion
The bus took forever getting there and the monorail made an extra long stop at the CR.
We arrived at the Poly and checked in at O'hanas. We were 20 minutes late!
The oh-so-happy-to-serve-you- hostess shoved a beeper in my face and told us to go get our picture taken.
Don't cha just feel the magic!!!!
Did the picture thing and explored the Poly! The waterfall and the flowers in the middle of the building are beautiful!! (I will upload pix very soon, promise!)
Finally, seated and we had a very nice waitress who was training a new waitress. Both of them were very delightful, no problems at all!! I was soo excited to see Goofy and Dale. I am just beaming!! Mickey was finally coming to our table when the CM pulled him aside to do the hula dance thing around the dining area!! Mickey must have seen my down face and motion that he promised to be right back!! And when he came back, Mickey gave me the biggest and best hug I had ever received from a character!! I love that mouse!
That right there made ever dumb thing that happened on the trip just......disappear!!!
Next Segment....OH, No!! Someone is under the weather!!
