Woke up at 7 a.m. and began the unpleasant job of packing. We brought an extra duffel and filled it easily. Because I didn't take the time to organize the night before, everything was a MESS thrown in wherever it would fit...Oh well I would deal with it when I got home.

After about an hour and a half of crazily trying to stuff everything in our luggage and get ready to go, we finally schlepped it all down to the Magic Express counter, picked up our boarding passes and left our carryons at the desk. Then we headed to Kona for that breakfast we missed yesterday.

We ordered everything we wanted, as we were using TS credits so we could. We all had smoothies- strawberry for Dd and orange passion fruit for Dh and I. Plus a presspot of that delicious Kona coffee. Dh ordered steak and eggs, I had the Tonga Toast, which is GREAT!...By the way, does anyone actually USE the syrup they serve with this?! It seemed sweet enough for me...and I love sweet treats in the morning! ...And Dd had the kids scrambled eggs, bacon and cinamon toast. The breakfast here is fabulous. We thouroughly enjoyed it.

Since we were already in the MK area and we only had a limited amount of time, we decided to visit MK for our last few hours. We hopped on the monorail and were walking through tha gates shortly after 11 a.m We headed straight for Splash Mountain and got a fastpass, then rode Big Thunder with about a 20 min wait. When our ride ended, our FP time was up for Splash so we rode that...always fun! We got some cold drinks and checked out the great Frontierland pin shop. I got the happiest celebration Tink pin for Dds collection.

Next, we visited Tomorrowland and rode the people mover! I love this ride! Wish we still had it at DL. MK was PACKED! We had not yet seen it that crowded. Then we rode carousel of progress....We LOVED this! So vintage Disney...What a great last ride of the trip....It's a great big, beautiful tomorrow! We needed to eat some lunch by now as we would have the start 'traveling' soon. Since it was so crowded, we decide to try for a sit down at a resort. On the way out, I spotted a photopass photograher in front of the statue and we got a few last photos taken.

Next we took the monorail to Grand Floridian to see if we could have lunch at the GF Cafe...but alas they were just closing down lunch. Bummer! We were running out of time at this point so we were forced to eat at the GF food court. We ended up using our last 2 TS credits for CS food, but at least we didn't totally waste them. The food here was actually pretty good and we enjoyed our last meal at WDW.

On the way out we checked out our photopass pics at the lobby gift shop. It is the only place where you can check out all the photos that were taken...We purchased one of the statue poses from earlier and were off to get back to POFQ and the Magic Express bus.

We ended up hitting the bus just right and got back to the resort early so we hopped on an earlier ME bus and got to the airport about an hour early, which I was happy about because I could do some shopping at Lush and L'Occitaine, two of my fovorites that are not close to us at home.

So we had fun at the airport shopping and taking pics at the Disney store statues until it was time to board our flight to Dallas. B'bye Orlando...Hope we can come back in the not TOO distant future! It's been such a great adventure...everything I'd hoped and more! Makes it feel as if all the hard work of the last few years (especially on Dh's part) does really pay off in the end!

We had an uneventful trip home. Dd and I slept most of the way. Dh's brother picked us up at the airport at midnight and we got home to a clean house with fresh flowers on the table and fresh groceries in the pantry, courtesy of Dh's thoughtful parents. (Aren't we lucky?!) It really is soooo nice to come home to. We love our cozy house and even though it is such a 'let down' to come home, it was also good to be back.

Thanks so much for sharing your trip. I hope you make it back soon! And I can't believe that homecoming- fresh flowers and food. WOW!

Great report! Hope you get back soon (actually, I hope I get back soon....) :rolleyes1

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

Thank you for such wonderful trip reports, I enjoyed them all! If my inlaws cleaned my house and left flowers I would die of shock!

My MIL loves it when we go away as she can "enjoy" herself spring cleaning, moving furniture etc. :cool1:

Dawnrose, thanks for the great trip report, I enjoye reading each episode. Being obsessed with food and the dining plan, I noticed on the last day you ate at Kona for breakfast, and you had both the press pot and the smoothies. I've been dying to know if they will let you get both on the dining plan. Did they count the presspot as "dessert"? When we go in Sep, we might go to Kona for breakfast, and use TS credits our last day as a backup in case we have a few left over. I've been trying to figure out if that's the best use of them or perhaps try a lunch at Kona just before leaving.
Thanks again for the reports, hope you get back to the world soon.

Thanx everyone for all the positive feedback! It's the first time I have ever attempted a trip report and it was great fun! I've been reading them for years and it's been fun to finally contribute one of my own!.........Oh, and the presspot and smoothies were all included in the dining plan at breakfast, but the presspot was extra at lunch... I hope to get back soon as well...but no plans in the near future...Florida is a long way from CA...We do, however, have a Xmas trip to Disneyland in the making....so look for that report around Dec. on the Disneyland board! Thanx again...I loved reading your replies! :earsgirl:
