Hey there! My family and I are planning our first trip to Disneyland next year, and I'm looking for tips, suggestions, advice, or anything else helpful.

Here's where we're at. It's myself, my husband, and our two boys who will be 5 and 2.5 years old when we go.

So far, I've only gotten as far as to get a quote from Alaska Airlines "kids fly free" special. It was for around $1400 for the 4 of us, which doesn't seem bad. Can I do better?

Also, we were thinking we wanted to go around February. I want to avoid peak times, like spring break. I'd also like to avoid the heat, but I don't want to be there in the pouring rain either. Is February a good time to go?

Also, I was wondering if we used a travel agent if they'd be able to throw in vouchers as incentives, like for breakfasts with the characters and that type of thing. Do TA's do that sort of thing?

What is a must for kids the ages of mine? And what about strollers? Are the park rental strollers worth it?

I need advice about everything, I haven't been to Disney in about 13 years.

TIA!

:earsboy: I don't know if Feb is a good time or not... I plan on going this next feb so hopefully it is!! ...1400 that's not bad at all!

My mom usually books everything and she does it all through disney so it's all grouped together. They can include character meals but they are pricey but so much fun and a must do if you have kids. If you plan on staying at any of the 3 resort hotels. They are all nice. for the past couple years we've stayed at Paradise Pier it's the cheapest out of the 3 and furthest from the monorail but not by far.

AAA And Costco discounts pay for your membership and you get lots of goodies . This trip costco was 80.00 cheaper then AAA! Book your airfare your self it saves a ton of money. Use AAA or Costco for room and tickets.

February is a great time to come to DL. The weather is great, we do not get much rain in Southern California! In my opinion, the two best times to come with the fewest lines are in the first few weeks of Sept. (the local schools are starting back) and in the first few weeks of Feb. Just keep in mind that the parks open later and close earlier than peak times, but with less crowds it doesn't matter--you'll end up doing most everything.

The strollers are nice, they look similar to jogging strollers--The only thing to keep in mind is that they are only allowed in the parks, not at Downtown Disney or the hotels. Though you can keep the same stroller to walk back and forth between parks.

For kids your age, I'm sure they will love everything in DL, and in DCA try Flick's Fun Fair as well as Playhouse Disney Live.

Where are you flying from for the $1400?

And like others have said Feb is a great time to visit DL!
