I can hardly believe our first BWV trip is 6 weeks out today! It seems like a million years ago in July that we bought our points!
I'm very excited, but please....tell me some things I should look for or look forward to! Maybe it will help the time go faster!

Now why would you want to be informed as to what's in store for you at BWV? I prefer to be surprised,... sort of seeing and experiencing it as a child would. That's half the fun! Okay,... I will say this. You will not want to come home!

Robin, Last year, when you were going through your point purchase "saga" we were going through the same thing. We purchased at the same time you did, and followed your progress with great interest.
Our first trip will not be till August. Please post your experience upon your return so we will know what to look forward to.

Well, you can look forward to seeing your brick!!

Well, let's see............you can look forward to the sights, smells, and sounds around the BW day and night. Don't forget to check out the DVC BW store near the lobby for your BW DVC msd. Look for the carousel to be lit up and moving in the foyer. Check out the LARGE chairs as you enter from the back entrance. Take a walk thru the inn side. Take a surry bike ride around the lake. Walk over to the Y&BC at night to see how beautiful the BW is at night. Check out the secret balconies near the elevators for a breathtaking view. Check out the community hall esp. if you have children. HMMMM..........Oh yeah, and don't forget to have a great time!

Sorry, someone had to tell her.

Don't forget to have breakfast at spoodles.

Also, our favorite thing to do while staying at the BW is to see illuminations, stroll "home", grab an icecream (or a hot chocolate if we are there in january and it is freezing!) and if they are doing the show (which they seem to time so that it is going on as you walk home home from illuminations) watch the boardwalk buskers.

You also have to plan one elegant dinner at flying fish (as long as you are there) and if you are interested, sit at the "chef's table" overlooking the kitchen (actually a counter). We stopped in there for dessert one night and that's all they had available and it was great fun! We are looking forward to trying it for dinner.

Also, you can't eat at spoodles EVERY morning (well maybe you can) so on the other days, remember to go down to the bakery and get breakfast there. Only at WDW will I allow myself to have a chocolate macadamia bear claw for BREAKFAST.

If you use valet (and I really suggest you do!) call down ahead of time for your car (right before you are leaving) so that it is there, ready, waiting and cool for you.

Now you're making me "homesick"!

Lisa

Rock-n-Robin, We are going in 6 weeks also June 21-June29. This is our first trip as DVC members. Hope to see you there. Linda

Thanks everyone for the cool ideas! Hope to see some of you on our trip! And we DO have breakfast at Spoodles planned one morning, as well as a Cape May buffet dinner.
Question--the DVC newsletter we got said there is renovation going on, "including the porte cochere (SP?)". I feel silly for asking, but what exacatly is the porte cochere? :p
