We walked around for awhile until I finally had no energy left. DH and I really wanted to spend more time there and we had planned to come back later in the trip but unfortunately we never did. :sad2: So we bid farewell to Downtown Disney and made our way back to the hotel, we arrived and got settled and it was around midnight. We both snuggled up and blissfully drifted off to sleep.

Overall thoughts for this day. Wonderful! DH and I loved Epcot and Downtown Disney and we can't wait to visit both again.

Next installment will be all about the Magic Kingdom! :cool1:

Looks to me like someone at Fulton's needs spell check!!

Yes I was going to say that.."Just Maried." TOO funny.

I can't wait to ride Spaceship Earth again after fourteen years.

I'm really enjoying this trip report :) Looks like you had a wonderful time.

I'm so glad you are enjoying it and we really did have a good time.

I'm enjoying your trip report. I'm sorry you were so sick. It must have been so scary for you not to be able to breath and also worrying if you could actually go on the trip.

I'm looking forward to more, and the cruise. I hope you're feeling better.

Nora

It was really a bummer starting out so sick but I did eventually start to feel alot better. Having asthma does suck and not being able to breath is a pretty scary feeling but after having it since childhood you just deal with it.

The cruise is coming up soon and I am feeling better now since I have been put back on all my asthma medicine since getting back from the honeymoon, BUT YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED WHEN WE GOT BACK TO LA! More on that later.

I love your Halloween themed wedding! Great TR so far. I'm enjoying all of your pictures! :thumbsup2

Totally Tink--yes I loved the Halloween theme wedding too..way cool :)

Thank you Totally Tink & Disneyfan71 on the Halloween wedding compliment. I swear as soon as I get better pictures I will post some.

KittyKat08, I'm loving your TR so far, and your pictures! I'm going to make Bill take a look, so he can see how cool Universal looks. We have to make time to get there one of these trips! I hope your asthma gave you a break at some point during your trip...

Thank you so much! :goodvibes Universal is really a fun place, well at least the one in Orlando is. Hopefully you will find a way to fit it into one of your trips and if you do make sure you tell me how it was.

My asthma never completely went away during the trip but it did let up alot towards the end. Stay tuned for more!

:lmao: Yes jakeybake & Disneyfan71, my hubby and I spent a fair amount of time laughing over that as well.

I'm still glad you had a wonderful time on your trip though.

Okay sorry for the long pause in between installments, I had a long weekend and was busy, busy. Anyway I'm ready to go now, hope you enjoy.

So today is Nov. 7th Friday and we decided to head off to the Magic Kingdom. Again in keeping with my usual lagging in the morning we don't actually get out of the room until around 10am or so. :sad2: This of course was started to bug me but as much as I tried to push myself, my body would resist so I had to take it slow. I was so sad that we didn't get to arrive at any of the parks for rope drop because I had really wanted to witness it. O'well next time.

We had decided to grab a bite to eat at the resort before leaving so we headed over there. The name of the food court area escapes my mind at the moment. Anyway as soon as we walked out the door we realized it was going to be a really hot day, we barely walked 20 feet and already we were sweating like crazy. :crazy2: Here are some pictures around the resort and of the food court.

Okay so I will stop there, I loved the resort, it was just beautiful and there are so many good picture spots.

Anyway we wasted alot of time walking around but finally we got in the car and shortly after we pulled up to the Magic Kingdom.

http://

So we park the car and start the loooooooong journey to the front of the park. Good Lord, maybe I'm just to used to Disneyland but man that is something having to first take the tram from the parking lot, then either take the monarail or Ferry boat to the entrance. I think it was at that moment that DH and I realized just how very big that place is. We decided to take the Ferry over to the front gate, since we both love boats and water.

Continued in next post......

http://

http://

http://

We really liked the Ferry ride, nice and relaxing and a good view. We then get to the bag check area and the security guy was hilarious. I went through first and when he noticed my bride ears he started messing around with me. He made a big deal about what was in my bag, mostly the asthma inhaler but all joking around. Then I wispered to him that I thought DH had some stuff hidden on him that was not aloud in the park. Here are some pictures of the exchange, notice in DH picture the guard is putting on latex gloves. :lmao:

http://

http://

People in line behind us got irritated because we held them up for a whopping 50 seconds or so. We didn't care and neither did the security guy, he was having a fun good day at work and that was all that mattered.

Then we stop and have this pic taken.

http://

We get onto main street finally and the first thing I see is pluto having pictures taken so I drag DH to the line. I'm big on character pics, so if anybody ever goes to Disneyland or Walt Disney World with me they have to be prepared for that.

http://

http://

After we get our photos with Pluto we start to head up main street, there was a parade starting soon so it was packed. I would have loved to watch the parade but the heat was killing me and I didn't want to sit in the sun and roast away. Once we got closer to the castle I was again in awe, I was aware that this castle was bigger then Disneyland's but I was not aware just how big it was. It's absolutely beautiful and I spent alot of time just staring at it and taking it all in, that was until I spotted the photopass person, then it was time for more photos.

Continued in next post....... This is going to be a loooooong installment because I have lots of pictures to share.

Kat, I'm loving your TR! My DH and I also had our honeymoon (and my first trip) at Disneyworld. It was so wonderful.

I can't wait to hear more about your adventures!
:goodvibes

I'm loving the pictures with Pluto :) How do you get the photo pass pictures w/ the characters? MK is one of my favorite parks btw.

http://

So we get done with those photos and decide to head towards space mountain.

http://

Then we stop to take a photo of these guys and I see another photopass person.

http://

http://

http://

DH gets a break finally from the photopass people and we meander on. The plan was to get to space mountain but once we started walking we decided to just go with the flow of rides as we approached them. I should mention at this moment that DH does not like to have his theme park visits planned out and he does not like to be on a time schedule so because of that reason I did not make any dining ressies and we had no real plan of what to do when we got into any of the parks. Now tell me, do you think DH changed his mind about that after this trip. Just wait and see. So the first thing we come to is this.

http://

I had told my hubby about this attraction and that it did not seem worth it but since there was only a 5 min. wait he really wanted to go on it, so we went. Thank heaven the burp part was not as bad as I was led to believe, yeah it was gross and I did not appreciate it but the smell disapeared after a few moments and it did not linger with me after the ride. Anyway, I would never, ever wait in a line any longer then 5 min. for this attraction, it is pretty boring.

After that we walked up to Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor but we didn't go, why I do not know but we never made it to that attraction during this trip. So we headed over to this ride instead.

http://

I love this ride at Disneyland so I figured I would love it here to. I ended up having mixed feelings about it. For one thing the guns you shoot with at Disneyland you can hold them up and move them all around so you have more free range to shoot. I did not like that these ones are firmly attached to the cars so you only have limited movement. But the overall decor on the ride is better then Disneyland's. All in all we did like it and would go on it again. Here is our ride photo.

http://

After we exited Buzz we decided to head over to an old favorite that neither myself or DH had been on since we were little kids at Disneyland. It was so nice to be able to go on this attraction again and we really, really enjoyed it.

http://

And yes the song stayed with us for days and even now sometimes out of the blue one of us starts singing it.

So from there we headed over to another one of our old favorites.

http://

To DH and I it will always be the people mover to us and we so wish Disneyland had never removed it. Our ride was fun except for two very obnoxious boys in the car next to us. They could not have been any older then 11 and they cursed and hoot and hollered all sorts of obscene remarks along the ride. I finally turned around and gave them the evil eye and one of them proceeded to tell me "Turn around B**** you arn't my mom"! And boy was I thankful for not being his mom because he is such a prize of a child. DH and I were so shocked we didn't even no what to say. Anyway after our fun and interesting ride we exited and finally headed to space mountain. It said 20 min. wait and if you read my TR from the beginning you know how I feel about posted wait times. So I agreed to get in line, it started off okay and then went very downhill. Now our space mountain at Disneyland has the que line outside and inside and the inside part is entertaining with TV's and other stuff. My point is there is always something to look at. Well we got to the part in line where you are in that hallway area before you get into the loading area. Now at first it was okay but we noticed it was really dark in there and the only thing you have to listen to is that soft lullably sounding music they play. So we waited and waited and waited and we are way passed 20 min now and I tell DH that I think I'm going into a coma because it's so utterly boring in line and the music is putting me to sleep. I think we moved like 10 feet in 15 min. Finally after not moving at all for a very long period of time I couldn't take it anymore, I had to get out of that line it was seriously driving me looney. So we jumped over the railing and walked back out the fastpass line and I said the only way I was going to get on that ride was to get fastpasses. We decided in the end to just skip it all together today and we would get to it later in the trip. Seriously that was the worst que line I have ever had to stand in.

So we are walking along after leaving space mountain and soon we find ourselves here.

http://

I love driving these cars but on this occasion I was a passenger. People in line though it was so cute because of the bride and groom ears so when we got back to the station some yelled congrats at us and just kept smiling. It was pretty funny.

http://

Continued..........in a little bit, I need to run out and do something right now but I will be back.

I love the People Mover--that's what it was called the first time I went..and was a little scared b/c of it going through part of Space Mountain. Now though it's something of a time honored tradition. If I had of been on it w/ those two boys, I would have climbed across the car and given him something!! Just me though.

The Space Mtn. in Disneyland is a lot different than the one at MK..and are two completely different rides. Personally I like the DL version better, again that's just me. As far as Stitch's Great Escape...I think they should have left it as Alien Encounter--scared me and I was 23 at the time. But there again, well you know.

Great pictures of the park btw :)

I can't wait to hear more about your adventures!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes I think it's more magical when it's your first trip and your honeymoon at the same time, I'm glad you and your hubby had a wonderful trip.

I'm loving the pictures with Pluto :) How do you get the photo pass pictures w/ the characters? MK is one of my favorite parks btw.

Hi Disneyfan71, there was a photopass person at just about every single character greeting we had in the parks, I guess we just got lucky.

Yeah I think if DH and I hadn't been so shocked by the mouths on those kids I would have jumped the car to and paid them a visit. They were truely horrible kids.

Thanks for the compliment on the park pictures, I'll let DH know he did a good job. :)

Oh and when we finally rode space mountain, I didn't like it, Disneyland is better.

Your photo pass pics are soooooooo cute! I definetely have to do that this time!:goodvibes

Thank you! :goodvibes We are very happy with the pictures and will always get the photopass when we go now.

I agree...Space Mountain at DL is MUCH better..it's an entirely different ride. I like the fact you can't see the track; gives it that much more mystery. And I think the loading area is SOOOO much smoother. From what I understand, the Space Mountain at WDW is going to have a new queue area where you can't see the track?!?!?!

Alien Encounter was so much more intense but I think Imagineers wanted it to be a little more tame. I think we'll skip Stitch's Great Escape!!!

Okay so after DH and I took our ride around the speedway in our little car we decided to head over to the Tea Cups. We never made it in line though because just as we got there I saw my favorite duck in the whole world. I screamed DONALD and took off for the already long line to see him. DH had no choice but to follow me, nothing comes between me and my duck. :rotfl2: Soon I had my first pictures with Donald.

http://

http://

They didn't come out great, but I didn't care. I was bouncing all over the place after that. :hyper: Just so you guys can understand why I flip out over Donald, aside from the fact that I love him, it's because you can never, ever, ever, ever find him out at Disneyland so when I realized he is all over the place at Walt Disney World I knew I was finally going to have Donald Duck pictures.

So after our Duck encounter we both realized how hungry we were. And of course I again don't remember what we ate. I'm horrible at that arn't I? Anyway I do remember sitting at an outside patio while eating this food because I snapped a shot of this Duck running by.

http://

After we ate DH and I entered Fantasyland and then promptly exited. It was way to crowded and all the lines reached at least a 50 min. wait. I was sad about this though because I love all the rides in this land but I would not force hubby to wait in line for them. So we headed off to the Haunted Mansion. I think this one is better then Disneyland's, inside and outside. We really, really enjoyed it. DH was fascinated with the grave stone whose eyes open and close. He took like a zillion photos of it, eyes open, eyes closed, eyes half open, well you get the picture right? I was also very happy to notice that the entire room of people did not recite the beginning ride part. I can't stand when people do that, it ruins the experience for other people, they are always doing it at Disneyland and I just want to punch them in the face.

http://

http://

http://

http://

http://

By the time we exited the Haunted Mansion it was dark outside. Wow how time goes when you get off to a late start. So we headed over to Splash Mountain, even though the sun was gone it was still pretty hot and humid out. We didn't get any pictures of it on this day because it was to dark and I don't know why we didn't get the ride photo or at least take a picture of it. I do remember that we loved it though. I liked being able to sit side by side instead of tandem style like at Disneyland. I ended up having my whole left side get drenched and DH was pretty dry. I didn't care, it cooled me off and that was what I wanted. Off to BTMR we go.

http://

http://

We loved, loved, loved BTMR. It's a favorite for us at Disneyland also and now it's a favorite at the Magic Kingdom. At this point in the evening I was getting tired and having to use the inhaler often and did not know how much longer we could stay. DH wanted to go on Pirates of the Carribean so we headed over there.

http://

Continued..........

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Haunted Mansion..as well as BTMRR--of course you can't compare it to DL!!! Even It's A Small World is entirely different, which is the whole point :) I never go to ride HM at DL :(

I love the pictures by the way.

http://

We really like the que line for Pirates but we did not like the actual ride. I'm sorry to fans of this ride at the Magic Kingdom but seriously it's disapointing. If you have never been on the Disneyland one then I can understand because you have nothing to compare it to, but if you have been on it, the Magic Kingdom one just doesn't live up to expectations. It's fine for DH and I to go on if there is no line but I would never wait to ride it or bother with fastpasses for it. Sorry again, I hope nobody gets mad at me for saying that.

So after pirates we had managed to snag a reservation at the plaza restaurant for dinner so we headed over there. The place is nothing special but we wanted to have a somewhat decent dinner and everything else was of course booked up. (I blame DH) I believe our reservation was for around 8:15 or something like that and we got there early. They would not seat us yet so we loitered around outside and soon realized that people were getting ready for Wishes. I had forgotten all about it so I told DH that we were going to miss it because we would be in the restaurant. My only option was to not eat dinner and go find a spot for Wishes. In the end I opted to eat, mostly because of being sick and taking lots of meds, I had to have food in my stomach. So we finally get called and go inside the restaurant, it's very small inside but beautifully decorated. They had put the Mickey confetti on the table for being on our honeymoon, it was cool and I did save it for my scrapbook. I didn't get any pictures of the food but I know I ordered a salad that was very good and DH had steak that was also very good. I even got a childs drink so I could get one of those light up tinkerbells.

http://

http://

http://

While we had been eating we heard an announcement that Wishes was delayed because of the wind and they did not know if it would be done or not. DH and I decided to get our desserts to go so that if the show went on we could see it. So we get our desserts all packed up get some extra napkins and head outside. Now it was chilly, the weather totally changed while we had been inside. It was kinda windy and almost downright cold. We went and found a spot comfy enough so that we could eat our dessert but I was so cold after a few minutes I couldn't take it anymore. Neither DH or I had brought our sweatshirts into the park with us. We finally decided to just go and purchase some new sweatshirts because even DH was getting cold and he never gets cold. So off to the shops we go, we spent a good deal of time looking at sweatshirts, I just couldn't make up my mind and neither could DH. We finally choose two and get in line to pay for them and all of a sudden we hear Wishes start. Of course the line is long and the cast member at the register is a chatter box so each person she rings up she also talks to forever. DH and I look at each other and just "sigh". He tells me to go outside and watch but I don't want to without him so I wait, and wait and wait some more. Finally it's our turn and she rings us up all the while wishing us congrats and how is the honeymoon and what have we seen and done so far and so on and so on. I tell her we are trying to hurry so we can catch the end of wishes and she then starts to tell us how it's her favorite show and we would really like it. So then DH pulls out the Disney Honeymoon Registry card to pay for our purchase and she goes off yet again about how she has never seen the card before and it's so cool and pretty and if I'm going to keep it for a memory. OMG I want to kill her now, and mind you there is a line behind us of like 30 people. So at this point I have given up on wishes and DH is still trying to pay for the sweatshirts. Finally the person behind us tells her to shut up already and just ring the people up so we could all get out of there sometime that night. ::yes:: We get our bag right away after that and rush out of there to try and see the end but we only catch the very last firework, seriously. :sad2: I figured at that point since I new we would be coming back to the Magic Kingdom for a second day after our cruise we would catch the show then. It would all work out right? Yeah sure. We decided at that point to get off of main street to avoid all the thousands of people leaving at the same time so we darted in the direction of Tomorrowland to hide until I could get my photopass pictures in front of the castle at night. While we were there we had our photo taken with this guy.

http://

Then I remembered that DH had wanted to go on the tea cups earlier in the day so we made our way back over to them.

http://

http://

DH had a blast trying to make me super dizzy but it didn't work, I like spinny rides. We headed over to Toontown after the tea cups since it was right there. I figured it was a good time because most of the park had cleared out for the evening. We ended up being able to get some pretty good pictures.

We took so many pictures in Toontown it was crazy. It's so adorable in there and much more enjoyable when it's not packed to capacity. We stayed just up until it was time for the park to close then we went to find my photopass people. It was so worth it to wait because we got some really good shots in front of the castle, it happened to be going through all the color changes when we arrived so we got pictures in front of all the different castle colors.

So after we left the awesome photopass guy who took all those great shots we started to make our way down main street and out of the park. They had just started decorating for Christmas and it was so pretty. I told DH that we had to come back at Christmas time so we could get the full effect of the holidays.

http://

Then I saw this and was floored. I thought it was the cutest thing ever. Disneyland does not do this so I was loving it. Just adorable and I wanted to get a picture with them but people where being so rude so we just took this photo instead. So cute!

http://

So we get out of the park and start the loooooong journey back to the car. It took us about 30 min. from the time we left the park to get to the car. We headed back to the hotel and arrived in no time. Our heads hit the pillows at around 1am and we didn't fall asleep right away though, we couldn't. I was coughing so bad it was preventing us from sleeping. I think we finally both fell asleep around 3am just from being exhausted. :sad2:

Anyway DH and I loved the Magic Kingdom, it's so beautiful around the park and the castle is just amazing. We really did have a great day and even though some things did disapoint us, we couldn't think of a better place to be disapointed in. The place is truely amazing and wonderful and we can't wait to get back to it.

So thanks again to everybody who is following along. Stay tuned for the next installment which will be DH and I go back to Epcot to enjoy the last day of the Food and Wine Festival.

Goodnight for now.......

OMG...we were at the Magic Kingdom this day! I searched your pictures for myself and didn't see me, but the next day I am at Epcot so I will look for me again in your pictures. Check out my Day 7 and look for you in my pictures! LOL

The fireworks were delayed because of a Medivac chopper it flew over once, then back again 20 minutes later, then Wishes started!

OMG I love those pictures of you two!!! So romantic; nothing like standing in front of Cinderella's Castle with your significant other :)
