Our first trip and our honeymoon at Disney World, what could go wrong?

Very fun update! Looking forward to your experiences at DHS. Sitting here with my mouth watering, thinking of the yummy, warm, cheesy biscuits at Red Lobster.

I have enjoyed this TR so much! I just found it today and have been reading it for 2 hours now! lol! The stories you tell and the pictures you take make me feel like I'm really there!!! I want to go book a Disney cruise ASAP now!

Hey everybody, I'm soooooo sorry to leave you guys hanging for the last few days. It was my intention to update last Monday but we have some friends that have been going through some personal issues and so we have been babysitting there little boy at there house while they talk and work out the problems. Needless to say I have not had a chance to get to a computer till now. Anyway our friends have now worked out the issues and are doing great. They actually went with my hubby and I yesterday to Disneyland to celebrate my birthday with me. We all had a blast and there little boy who is just over a year old had a great time on his first visit to the park. I promise to start our DHS day tomorrow but for now I'm just going to answer all you lovely people that left comments since last we spoke. :goodvibes

**********************************************************

Great updates! Loved the sea-legs stories. I can only imagine the crowds in line wondering how you mananged to consume THAT much alchohol in the MK!

Now that's some change I can believe in right there! Talk about an upgrade! I'd kill for some Cheddar Bay biscuit's about now. I know...ironic isn't it?

Looking forward to your day at DHS!

Thank you. I was actually surprised that nobody said anything to us or told a cast member that we were drunk. :rotfl:

And yes my upgraded dinner to Red Lobster was fantastic, I love that place. I can actually taste the cheddar biscuits in my mouth now. YUMMY!

Now everytime we go there and I'm eating them I'm going to think of you. Is that weird? :lmao:

great update. i love philharmagic too. it just makes me happy.
i love the front seat on space mtn...try it next time..you'll like it (well at least i assume who knows what they are changing) how funny all the people staring while you were falling all over. they were probably trying to figure out where to get alcohol in the mk. after reading your reaction to iasw i am thinking maybe thats why you cant get alcohol there...people need to get drunk just to get the song out of their heads. although i find that if i ride carousel of progress after that i sing "its a great big beautiful tomorrow" instead which i much prefer. anyways cant wait to read morepopcorn::

Yes I was smiling like a loon when we got out of Philharmagic, it is a feel good attraction for sure.

I can't wait to see what changes they do to Space Mountain and I'm sure I will try the front seat next time. I'm just a chicken when I go on a ride that I'm not familier with the first time.

I'm sure everyone did think we got plastered before we came into the park. :sad2: It was so funny watching everybody's faces though.

I didn't even think to go on Carousel of Progress to get that song in our heads instead, I will do that next time. :thumbsup2

Great update! I like the camel spitting picture. Too cool!!

DSCF0532.jpg

This is a great picture. Great perspective!!! Perfect angle.

Thanks!

That carpet ride was so cute, I just loved it. The camels are such a great touch and I'm glad I timed it perfect to get him spitting when I took the shot.

I told hubby you liked his abstract photo of the castle and he said thank you, it was another one that he had worked hard on. :goodvibes

You can never get it all done at the parks. Just when I think I've done everything I ever wanted to do at Disney I log on the disboards and discover something I had missed.

Love that you could see Wishes from Red Lobster. I love those biscuits too. Dh always orders a side of ranch dressing to dip them in but I love them all on their own.

I know since we have been back and I read other TR and tips and stuff around the boards I get overwhelmed with the amount of stuff we missed. O'well that just means lots more trips in the future. :yay:

The fireworks were a complete surprise, it was the coolest thing watching them while having our lovely seafood dinner. Ewwww, I would think the ranch would ruin the flavor of the biscuits, they are heavenly all by themeselves. Oh, I'm getting a rumble in the tummy for them now!

Whoa your trip report junkie missed an update. I have got to stay on the ball here.

I love love love your castle pics. I loled @ the unflattering ice cream pic and the one of you sleeping. Your hubby sure does take awesome pics of you huh ?

I am looking forward to Philarmagic (sp?) for some reason on our first trip I wrote that off as boring and not worth the wait or use of a fastpass and I have no idea why. After reading around the on the DIS I am looking forward to the ride.

It's okay my little junkie, your dealer has been slacking on the updates lately. :rolleyes1

Castle pics are compliments of the hubby, I let him know that you liked them so much. Yeah he is great at taking pics of anything except me for some reason, he just has that uncanny ability to snap a shot of me at the most unapropriate times. :sad2:

You should try Philharmagic for sure on your next trip, I'm sure you will like it alot!

Very fun update! Looking forward to your experiences at DHS. Sitting here with my mouth watering, thinking of the yummy, warm, cheesy biscuits at Red Lobster.

Thank you, so glad you liked it even though it was the most boring day for us.

You and me both on the biscuits. Those things are so good I end up being full before I even get my meal.

thank you - great report :)

Thank you, and thanks for reading, I'm so happy your enjoying it.

I have enjoyed this TR so much! I just found it today and have been reading it for 2 hours now! lol! The stories you tell and the pictures you take make me feel like I'm really there!!! I want to go book a Disney cruise ASAP now!

Yay! :yay:

2 hours huh? Wow, I'm pleased my TR is worthy or 2hrs of straight reading. :woohoo:

Now stop reading and go book that Disney Cruise, NOW! :thumbsup2

So I wasn't able to do an update yesterday like I planned, so sorry for that.

Before I start I wanted to say I hope everyone is having a fabulous Easter weekend with there families.

Now moving on with this TR.

We are now on Friday Nov. 14th and this was our Disney's Hollywood Studios day. I was super excited to get to this park.

In keeping with our normal routine of not getting up early unless we had to I would say that we finally got out of the hotel room at 9 almost 10am to head to the park. We didn't eat anything before leaving which I was fine with since I was still full from the Red Lobster the night before. You should not go to bed on such a full stomach! Hubby and I had passed out cold and didn't wake up once until the alarm went off. I had never been that tired in my life. Never again will I go to a park just off the Disney Cruise unless I have taken a nap first. Lesson learned!

Heading outside it was clear right away it was going to be another warm day. I was slowely getting tired of the humidity every day, soooo not something I could live in. I guess moving to Florida sometime in our lives is out of the question.

Anyway we got in the car and soon we were driving under this.

http://

Then we pulled up to the parking area and it was really creepy and kinda weird that we were the only car.

http://

We catch the tram and pretty soon we are at the main gate ready to start the day.

Here I am willing hubby to stop taking photos so we can get inside already.

http://

http://

When we get inside I'm already in love with the place, I have a thing for movie type amusement parks. Call me crazy, it's okay. Hubby starts taking photos.

At some point during our walking these characters intercepted us and started going nuts because we were on our honeymoon. They started making a big scene about it and the guy on the car jumped off and started blowing bubbles all around me while she was yelling for everyone to gather around and stare at us because the happy couple just got married and who knows how happy they will stay so you all should get a good look at them now. Ya know Disney humor. It was actually very funny and I was cracking up the whole entire time.

That was a great way to start our day.

Aw, How sweet! Nothing like a little Disney magic to make you feel special!

How come you were the only car?

I sat around all day reading your report from the beginning. I was at Disney at the same time. I think November is a good time to go. I LOVE the Festival of the Masters art show that takes place one weekend in November so I like to go then.
I have been on the Wonder and the Magic and loved reliving it through your report. I'm really glad I didn't have a sea urchin incident!
I think I was walking around Port Orleans the same day that you took phots there.

Does you cat have two different color eyes? It looks really cool!

I just wanted to say hi. I read through your trip report this weekend and really enjoyed it so far. I loved reading about your cruise DH and I are considering booking a cruise for next year. Can't wait to read more popcorn::

Great update. Loved the photos! The street performers were cracking me up. I hear you on the post Red Lobster sleep. Something about it just induces deep slumber.

It was very sweet and Disney did a great job at making us feel special. pixiedust:

I don't have a clue why we happened to be the only car pulling in at that time but it was really weird and even the cast member made a comment about it when we pulled up to the parking booth. He said something like in all the time he worked there that had never happened before. Strange!

Thank you so much for reading, I'm glad your enjoying it. I thought November was great but I have also never been before so that is my only experience, we are planning on going back Nov. 2010 so hopefully it will be nice for us again.

I learned my lesson about wearing my water shoes on serenity bay, I will not go in the water again without them. It took me like 3 months after the urchin incident to get all the thorns out of my foot. :sad2:

Such a small world to think you were right there when I was, I wonder how many people I actually passed that are on these boards.

Yes my cat does have two different color eyes, one is blue and one is green. She is a weirdo but we love her.

Hello!

Thanks for reading along.

The cruise was so awesome, you will love it! We are going back next year as well and I can't wait to get back on board. :thumbsup2

i love those dhs characters they are hilarious

They are absolutely hilarious, I just loved them. :goodvibes

Waiting on more...

I know everyone is, life just keeps getting in the way! I'm working on an update now.

Thanks for reading and sticking with me. :goodvibes

Great update. Loved the photos! The street performers were cracking me up. I hear you on the post Red Lobster sleep. Something about it just induces deep slumber.

Thank you, thank you!

There is something about red lobster because we just went the other day and when we came home I went to bed and slept like a baby all night. It's loading up on those dang biscuits! :lmao:

So finally escaping from the street performers we continued on. We were actually making our way towards Toy Storia Mania but we were doing it slowely. We figured if we got there and all the fastpasses were gone we would just wait in line and that was fine with us. It's not really my thing to run from ride to ride for fastpasses, we are more of the either we get them or we don't type of people. Of course along the way we were snapping photos. I was already in love with this park. I don't know why people don't like it that much. :scratchin

We did stop for some photopass pictures.

http://

http://

Then we took a picture of the Voyage of the little Mermaid attraction but we didn't get to see it on this trip.

http://

http://

http://

http://

We also missed One Man's Dream which I was really, really sad about and it will be the first thing we do when we get back to the park. I had planned on doing it later in the day but I didn't know they closed it at a certain time so when I got back over to it, it was closed.

http://

Another thing we didn't end up doing.

Another must do for next year.

http://

And then we had arrived at our destination.

http://

I loved the green army guys, they are just great. They kept sneaking up on people and doing these crazy poses with them and the guest wouldn't even know they were there. Very funny.

http://

This was really the only picture I got in the area for now because it was so crowded.

http://

Fastpasses were still available so we grabbed some and then headed far away from the area. They almost need crowd control people over there.

I don't remember exactly what time the fastpasses were for but I do know it was at least two hours or so before we ended up heading back to ride TSM.

Love the photopass pics.

I'm a runner for the fastpasses. I love the adrenaline rush. So if you want me to come along next time-I volunteer to do the fastpass race for you.

popcorn::I just spent the last 2+ hours reading your entire TR!:dance3: It's really great!!! Congrats on getting married:yay: We just got back from WDW and I've also started my TR.:rolleyes1 Can't wait to read more of yours. Also, love the Halloween wedding! Your dress was amazing!

Nice update. Your first photopass picture looks like you were wearing the sorcerer's from the background. Pretty cool. :cool1:

Again I was lacking. Been a rough month for the family but I am back! I love the headshot photopass pic of you and hubby. Very cute. Can't wait to hear how about the rest of your day. Glad to hear your friends were able to work through their problems, they are lucky to have you guys to help them out.

OMG you guys I'm so so so sorry that I have been neglecting my TR. I seriously have been super busy. Let me give you a rundown on what I have been up to the last few weeks or so.

First I have been babysitting our friends 1 year old and that right there has been super time consuming and also leaves me exhausted by the time he goes home. LOL. I guess I'm getting my experience for when hubby and I have kids. I'm actually watching him right now but he is napping so I thought I would at least check in.

Then it has been everybodys birthday. Seriously we have celebrated at least six birthdays. :scared1: And of course each and every one of them wanted to go to Disneyland on the day. Needless to say I have been spending a serious amount of time at the parks. Also just about all of them purchased season passes since they are doing that payment plan thing for Southern California residents so I have been going to Disneyland all the time at all hours of the day. I can't really complain about that though. :thumbsup2

Then hubby's car broke down and so he has been driving mine. Well there have been some days when I needed my car so I have had to drive him to work and since he doesn't exactly work the best hours in the world, I have found myself stuck on the 101 Hollywood freeway at rush hour time at least 4 times in one day. So not cool! And this dillema is still going on.

Then one of the cats has been sick and throwing up all over the dang place, that has just recently began to subside.

Along with the cat my MIL got violently ill and was out of commision for weeks, and since I am the one who is around I was taking care of her. She is doing better sick wise now but is having some kind of back problems now.

Most recently I have had some kind of stomach bug that keeps sending me to the bathroom pretty often, so that has not been fun. I'm still working on getting rid of it completely.

There are countless other things but I won't bore you guys with them, but I will tell you the very latest one that happened yesterday was that my mom went into the hospital for breathing problems and since she is in New Jersey and I'm here that has been difficult. I have talked to her several times and she swears she is okay, she sounds okay but the doctors still don't know what caused it. Anyways it looks like she will remain in the hospital through mothers day.

So I'm going to go ahead and answer the lovely messages I have been left by my loyal readers and also wish all of you a Happy Mothers Day but I don't think I will be able to work on the TR till tomorrow. Again I'm so sorry and I will do my best to get back to it ASAP. Thank you again for everybody who is still reading. Have a great weekend you guys.

Ugg! I could not imagine running all over the place for a fastpass. Well we are planning on going back the last week of Oct through the first week of Nov in 2010 if your available to be our fastpass runner, I'm fine with it. :thumbsup2:hug:

Thank you so much for your sweet compliments. So happy that my TR can entertain someone for 2+ hours. :woohoo: At some point when I finally get my TR rolling again I will look for yours. :goodvibes

Nice update. Your first photopass picture looks like you were wearing the sorcerer's from the background. Pretty cool. :cool1:

I said that same thing when I saw that picture, it really wasn't planned that way but came out pretty cool none the less.

I feel you pain in the lacking and having a rough month department. :sad2: I hope things get better for you.

The photopass pics from this day are some of my favs, they just came out really good and we look so happy in them.

Sending you a bump to come back and finish!

I'm working on it, I swear!

Glad to hear from you.

I know life gets in the way and from what you've described life has certainly been keeping you busy. I'll be hear when you've got some time to finish up on your report!

This is what I dislike about my job as a teacher. I can only go on vacations during school breaks. So I'm afraid November 2010 is out for me.
