We had a great time on our trip. It was hot the first couple of day but then it cooled down. We stayed at the Paradise Pier and loved it!

DSC02274.jpg

We took the red monorail into the park. A CM told us that as soon as it starts to get warm they take it off-line. That day it got up to 102.

DSC02288.jpg

They like to take their picture at the fire station, every trip.

Cooling off at the Hotel when it got to hot.

DSC02295.jpg

This was her favorite ride. Well, in DCA in Disneyland it is Pirates.

DSC02306.jpg

Golfing in the street.

DSC02522.jpg

The walk through still had a fence around it and security in front of it. He looked very bored guarding that wall.

DSC02359.jpg

She asked if they have their own Fairygodmother. Why yes, their Auntie Fairygoodmother makes all of their costumes.

DSC02360.jpg

Mary Poppins

It started early in the morning we would hear "picture, Picture" then they would start posing with the girls.

DSC02455.jpg

Playing with Captain Jack.

DSC02459.jpg

See all of the feet in the background. As soon as Captain Jack stood up they all rushed to.........her.

DSC02463.jpg

DSC02462.jpg

They would all take individual pictures and then a big group picture. By the end of the day hubby would take the group picture shots for them.

DSC02451.jpg

Pirates island was closed to do the set up for Miley's birthday party. The pirates were roaming around NOS.

DSC02467.jpg

Dancing with a pirate.

DSC02469.jpg

DSC02484.jpg

Pixar Play Parade. This is the only place that Bo Peep shows up in the parks.

DSC02485.jpg

Yes, that was us! My oldest was wearing the Christmas Belle dress and they talked to Australia Belle as they called her.
:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Your girls looked beautiful in their costumes. Loved the Bo Peep and Mary Poppins...I have never seen anyone with those outfits on before. Usually it is princesses.

Your girls are just adorable!!

And those have to be some of the best costumes I have ever seen!

What a wonderful Aunt you have. That Mary Poppins was like an exact replica. And so was Bo Peeps. Of course Belles was too, but those are more common to see. Did your Aunt have pics of the characters, and go from there?

Would love to see and hear more!!

So here is MTOT party. We went the first night and it was very crowded.

DSC02501.jpg

The evil queen was very good, a little to good. She took the girls over and showed them the table that she was making a new poison apple for Snow White. The oldest was freaked out and immediately wanted to go find Snow White to warn her.

DSC02512.jpg

When we got in line to see the princesses Snow White was there. A nice CM came down the line and let us know that they would be trading places. Our oldest asked him to go warn Snow White about the evil queen. He was very nice and went off to wan Snow White.

DSC02511.jpg

Twirl, twirl, twirl!

DSC02490.jpg

A little dance with Daisy.

DSC02507.jpg

The green army men were cool.

DSC02517.jpg

The youngest fell asleep. We decided to call it a night.

A few random pictures to come.

Wow! It looks like you all had an amazing time! Those costumes are absolutely adorable! I love all the character interaction your daughters had. That's cute that random tourists wanted pictures with your daughter. :rotfl:

The Mary Poppins was made out of a lace curtain panel that she found on clearance at Target. :lmao:

She looks at lots of pictures from the movies, parks, etc. She has also made them the "before" princesses. Cinderella in rags, Belle in her blue dress, and Cinderella in the pink dress the mice and birds make.
She so totally rocks. :cool1: :cool1:

I am the designer/creator of costumes for poohnpigletCA
I actually do a lot of preparation when making costumes for "my girls". I watch the movies (a lot), I look at photos here and on micechat, I look at story books and coloring pages. I even have inspiration from the girls themselves...they give me figurines of the character in costume :)

Belle and Cinderella were made from Simplicity patterns that are now out of print, but all the others I combine patterns. I might take sleeves from one pattern, bodice from another, and skirt from another. The most patterns I've used for one costume is 5. Then I embellish: add ribbons, bows, trim, jewels, whatever it takes.

It's completely a labor of love from this fairy-good-mother!

Our last day was Saturday. We ran into the park for a couple of hours and ran into..

DSC02530.jpg

Mary & Bert!

DSC02527.jpg

My youngest was thrilled when Bert asked where her Mary costume was!
I told him, "Wow, that was 2 days you have a great memory."

Bert then says "I also remember when the oldest was Mary and the youngest was Snow White and we walked across the street together."

That was a year ago!

DSC00395.jpg

DSC00399.jpg

I could not believe that Bert remembered that a year later!

DSC02531.jpg

One sleepy girl heading home. I love that she made sure Jack & Sally had a good view.

The End

That Bert is amazing! What a great CM. He must really enjoy what he does to pay such close attention to the people who visit him. Though who could forget your adorable daughters and their amazing costumes?!

Is there an email that we can compliment great M's. We used to go to City Hall but they no longer let you write things down.

Anyone know how to send compliments?

What marvelous, wonderful, spectacular, supercala (well, you get the picture) COSTUMES!!

I bet your DDs will remember their time with the Evil Queen! It's always the scary stuff that sticks with a person. ;)

Great TR, thanks for sharing all of your great pictures! It was really cool to see the last years Bert and Mary pics as well.

If you have the time or the energy I'd love to see any and all of your past costumes. THey look amazing!
