Day ONE
Only three hours of sleep last night...EXCITED. Arrived at MCO at 11:30 AM via AirTran; let's just say we got our $69 worth. Security was noticable but fine. My parents wanted the freedom of a minivan rental, but after the trip they wished they would have listened to me and split a towncar. Sometimes you just have to learn firsthand... We got in our town & country rental and drove to WL.
WL is BEAUTIFUL! I am not a big nature lover--but I LOVE WL! The lobby is more impressive than BC--even though I still love BC. The pool is great, loved the beach too. We were given complimentary upgrades to either woods view or inner courtyard, we chose woods view because we didn't want to wait to check-in until 3 PM. So glad we chose woods view...we had a straight view of the CASTLE! I was SO HAPPY!
The room itself was sized just fine compared to BC! But, just like BC, it had a MOLDY bathroom. AND I CANNOT figure out why they don't put exhaust fans in the bathrooms...UGHH!! GROSS!!! Also, I'm unhappy to report that although the furnishings looked in really good shape and were attractive, the room was DUSTY--REALLY DUSTY. (My white socks turned gray with one walk through the room! Yuck.)
Nonetheless, excited, we quickly unpacked and headed for Epcot. The busses were on a ten minute schedule and it seemed quick. We got to Epcot and it was crowdless. Imagine the shock--it took seven minutes to get on Test Track! IT WAS GREAT! My daughter thought she was driving! HE-HE! We ate at San Angel Inn. We were impressed by our food again, but thought it was really dark sitting by the water. NO WAIT! Rode Ellen's Energy ride-caution this ride is LOUD!!! Of course, no wait.
Walked out the back entrance of the World to the BC/YC and Boardwalk area that night, Boardwalk was SOO dead compared to 05/01. It was weird seeing all the kiosks closed. My family ate dinner at a hotdog stand on Boardwalk and beware--it was REALLY BAD! But, ate dessert at the Pastry Shop in France and it was SOOO GOOD!
Took bus back to WL, watched castle change colors from bed, what a great day.
Tommorrow is MK...YEAH!
