Welcome to the DIS boards! You will learn so much from here! The first time my family went to Disney was in May,and it was wonderful! We chose to go back in May again for our second trip.Then for our third,my oldest daughter was in college so we had to fit that trip in during her winter break,so we went in January,which is a great time to go too.Now we will be going in August,which I am a little worried about,but then I figure...there really can't be a bad time to be in Disney World, can there!??? haha

I am so happy for you. We took our first family trip last October and we are going to do the Not So Scary Halloween again. You are a huge step ahead of most first-timers just by visiting these boards. My wife and I stumbled onto them while researching our trip last year -- around this time, actually -- and they helped tremendously.

Planning is key at DW, so be ready. But most of all, enjoy the excitement you are already feeling. It only gets better and better.

The best thing about this place is that everybody else REALLY DOES want you to have the best time ever, so even if you think something is not for you, remember it was meant to be helpful.

Anyway, I am talking a lot so I will stop. Suffice it to say I am happy for you and your family and I wish you the best trip ever.
