Our first Dis property vacation, SSR question inside

Hi guys,

We have always stayed off property so you can guess that we are just bursting to stay in a 1 bedroon at SSR. (This is a cash ressie not dvc points.) I have a couple questions about staying on property. What identification will we need to use the transportation system to the parks? room key? wrist bands?

Also, my two toddlers will be sleeping on the floor in the room with us (to keep my eye on them). Anyone know from experience what size air mattress will fit between the bed and the wall?

I don't think I've ever had to show ID to get on any of the buses.. infact we've hopped many a bus to places other than our resort.

Definitely don't have to show ID to use any Disney transportation.

Not sure about the size of the air mattress, but here's a link to the room layout for SSR, might give you an idea:

Looks like you would need to move the chairs out of the way slightly, but a smaller one should fit. I don't think a queen could make it.

A twin air mattress fits great...with a little (and I do mean a little)room to spare so that you don't step on them.

We just kept the desk chair pushed in...and I guess we pushed the occasional chair completely into the corner (honestly, I don't remember it being there).

Your room key is what you will need for the transportation. They don't ask for it much on the buses but with the boat to DD you may need it. Once in a blue moon they crack down on checking ID for the bus trips, its always best to have your room key with you, of course they are good for getting into your room and charging things to your room also.
