Oh my gosh I LOVE BASIN. I went in there on our last trip and bought so much soap and bath bombs. It was so fun to curl up in the bathtub at the Wilderness Lodge at the end of the day with a bath bomb. I made a reservation at Narccossee's for my March trip just to have an excuse to check out the Basin store in the Grand Floridian. I like the Mickey frame you got too, it's so cute!

I know, this next trip has kinda snuck up on us, and I don't think it's completely hit me yet how soon I'll be back! I'm starting to get excited though! I see you're going back soon too, we're just missing each other!

And I REMEMBER you talking about Basin, and that's a big part of the reason I HAD to go in! I've heard so much about how wonderful it is, I needed to see for myself! Good idea about Narcoosee's...its SO GOOD, one of our favorites, and I forgot about the other Basin store there.

Thursday December 18, 2008 Part TWO!

When I left off we had gotten back to Old Key West to drop off our SHOPPING bags in the room and catch a bus to Epcot! I was very excited to see Illuminations, and just take it easy and enjoy Epcot. It's so pretty at night, I just love it.

When we got there, of course we went to our traditional first ride, Spaceship Earth. We just always do. It's one of my favorite rides. ever.

After that we went over to The Land, to get a FastPass for Soarin for DH. I don't know if he ever rode it or not...I don't have it in my notes that he did, so for some reason I guess not? I don't remember. He may have just decided not to. We went on Living with the Land, always a favorite as well. Then we headed over to Journey into the Imagination.

The ride is so corny, but I almost always have to ride it. And I love that DH really seems to enjoy it too, it makes him laugh. When we got off the ride the little photo booths were extremely busy like normal so we decided to stop and do a picture. Might I add that we JUST got this, a week ago, in our email. crazy.

Then we went to Honey I Shrunk the Audience. DH is very entertained by it. I always crack up at the screaming kids. I will confess something. If I havent' already. If possible, I like to sit on the very end of the row. Why? Becuase I have to pull my feet up, because I can't stand the "mice". I usually put them up in DH's lap, right before it happens....but I like sitting on the end so I dont end up kicking someone. Just one of my weird things. don't judge.

anyway. Is anyone else ever insanely bored, during that loooong preshow? I mean the video is cute, but its all that staaaanding, and repeated announcements about not sitting on the floor, when everyone does it anyway? Ugh.

moving on. DH wanted to get another ride in on Test Track, one of his favorites, so we headed over that way. He went in the single rider line while I waited. I had been eyeing one of the liscense plates in there since our October trip, and I decided this time I'd be getting it. I kept saying I'd wait and see if I REALLY wanted it. I did. But first I went to meet DH and finally got his picture...

and one more, bc he's cute..

I showed him the plate, and then we debated back and forth over that one, or the Doom Buggy one at MK outside Haunted Mansion. I couldn't make up my mind. I really loved this one though, and it was just "prettier". We decided to get this one this trip, and if we wanted the other one, we'd get it later this year. YAY! One more purchase under our belt and we were on our way!

I think I remember now why DH didn't ride Soarin. It was almost his time, but he didn't feel like waiting in line w/out me, and after asking him a million times if he was sure, he said def. and we headed back to World Showcase.

On the way over we took a million pictures. I went camera crazy, and since we were in no hurry, I ordered that we stop and do lots of Photopass pictures. So, enjoy...

I became a bit obsessed with the lights over the bridge, and the music. So, I took a video. to watch at home. and I do.



We stopped in Mexico first, since we had such a very quick stop in here the other night.

We went on the boat ride...

and discussed our missed ADR from another night. It's SO pretty in there, and romantic, but I've just heard so many bad things about the food...and being on a budget, we can' afford no yuck food!

We headed to Maelstrom next, but oh my gosh I've never seen the line that long! it was almost to the outside of the building. um, no thanks. we turned right back around and came back outside. On to China!

We went in the big store and walked around for awhile, they just have such cute stuff in there. Back years ago I bought a sunglass holder in there and I still use it!

By this time it was getting close to showtime! We decided to stake out a spot and sit down and relax until then. All of the benches we could see were taken, but down in front of Norway along the railing we could see some empty room right in front for a good view. We're not too good to sit on the ground, so we did. There weren't too many people around, and I was happy to have a good view for once! DH was getting hungry so he pulled out a pb sandwich, and I decided I wanted a cold drink. We had some water bottles in the bag, but I wanted something good. I had seen the little stand in China with drinks so I got some dollars and told DH to hold my place. I came back with a Peach Oolong Tea Schnapps Slush. Oh MAN was it good. seriously. My new favorite adult treat. I offered DH a few sips but I pretty much killed it myself. mmmm. I also had some pretzels with it. what a nutricious Disney dinner!!!

More people started coming around closer to Illuminations time, but I wasn't budging. I'm not too impressed with my pictures, hopefully my new camera will be MUCH better this next trip...

So beautiful. My favorite part is the special holiday finale. I just love it.

I took a few videos too. Have I mentioned that I have Illuminations as my ringtone on my phone? Because I do.









After it was over we grabbed a vacant bench, and just sat. I think I've discussed my hatred for the mass wave of people leaving. hate. it. So we just stayed put, listened to the music, and hung out. So nice. Why rush out I ask??? We're in Disney! We sat for a good 30 minutes or so before we moved. We slowly walked towards the front, and walked in and out of a few stores on the way out.

We bid Epcot goodnite!...

We didn't have to wait long at all for a bus, and were back at "home".

When we got back we walked in the gift shop because DH had bought a few things at DHS the day before...a mug for his day and something else? We had it delievered and it was there. Sadly, we had to go start packing up our beautiful room. I hated leaving, I LOVED Old Key West and we'd had such a relaxing, romantic stay there. Fortunately we weren't quite ready to go home just yet....

Next up-our THIRD and FINAL "home" for the week!

Great update and great pics and video! I just watched the video and DH, whose in the other room playing the wii with the kiddos, yells in "why do I hear christmas music?" LOL!! We didn't get to see those lights! We saw the tree and the fuzzy white ball thingys but the lighted arches where down Of course, that's a good excuse to go back another year!

LOL. That sucks that you didn't get to see the arch lights, they were AWESOME. But you are totally right, even more reason to go back during the holidays. There really is so much to see with all the decorations and lights.



Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!! We are doing some painting today...I randomly decided to paint a wall in our house, so I'm waiting on DH to get home so we can get started! We are still kinda looking for a house...we're so back and forth on it. But I'm still looking, we just haven't found anything we've fallen in love with yet, for the right price.

I'm planning on getting at least one more update done this weekend, I want to finish before we leave again, so I need to get moving!!

Random update here. I don't remember if I mentioned it or not, but yesterday DH and I decided to be random and paint one of our walls. It turned out awesome so I needed to share. It was so easy and we did a really good job, we impressed ourselves!

Here's the crazy part. After we did this of course, we ended up meeting with our realtor last night to look at a house and I fell in LOVE. It's a condo, which we didn't think we wanted, but its beautiful, and much bigger than most and we love it. It's a big higher than we wanted to spend but we're looking into it, we'll see what happens this week. But of course, that figures, we go and paint a wall and we'll have to paint it back if we move, but thats ok. I'm just proud that we did a good job, and it makes me want a house even more so I can paint the whole thing! I HATE white walls and this is good practice!

anyway, just wanted to share. I'm working on the next installment, should have it done today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!

The Epcot pictures were great. Mk is my favorite park but then it's definately Epcot. I love all the countries, I don't even need a passport. I love the color you picked out for your wall. Thanks for reading everyone-I'm so mad, I had a whole update written Sunday night and then of course the ONE time I didnt save it in Word first, somehow I lost the whole thing!!!!! ARGHGHGH! And I just haven't had enough time since then to rewrite it! I'm REALLY trying to finish before we leave ONE WEEK FROM TOMMOROW, but its hard.

We think we have found a house, its NOT the condo, which I did love but it just wouldn't make sense for us, planning on having kids in the next few years and it just wasn't best. But we made an offer last night so we'll see what happens today!!! I will keep you all updated though! And I'm going to try REALLY hard to get a big update done tonight, if not in the next few days!!
