Sunday: The five let from the original group were at MK bright and early when the rope dropped. We did Dumbo twice, as fortune would have it I was split from Susan and her family so I got to take pictures of them and the kids got a second ride with me. While we were on line I had gotten us fastpasses for Peter Pan and after Dumbo I went to get fastpasses for Pooh while Susan and the kids rode the carousel. We then rode Peter Pan together and were able to get a 2nd fastpass for Pooh before riding, there was about a 20 minute wait for Pooh at this time. Then got to ride Pooh a 2nd time with 2nd fastpass all before 10:15 a.m. We then went to see the real Ariel as Cassandra says in her grotto. This was the longest wait of the week for us about 25 minutes. We then got fastpasses for Buzz on the way to meet the rest of the group in front of the castle. We visited for awhile and then said goodbye as the second group was either going back to N.Y. or going to Uncle Franks house located further south in FL.
That left five of the original seven. We decided to go to the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary for lunch. Good choice, Susan. It was one of the best hamburgers we had ever tasted. The kids liked their grilled cheese and PB&J, too. Cassandra, Zachary and Lori went to press some more pennies and quarters (only 6 pennies and 3 quarters to go) while we waited for our lunch to be served. It was wonderful to relax away from the park and in the air conditioning and right on the monorail so we had a short trip back to the Poly. We will definitely eat here on a future trip. Back to the Poly for a dip in the pool and then out to Crystal Palace for dinner with Pooh and Friends.
This was perhaps our most disappointing meal of the trip or at least tied with Mama Melrose. The food was not to our taste and the character interaction was minimal. Thank goodness we had seen them before (this was 5th time for Tigger, 4th for Pooh and 3rd for Eeyore and Piglet), they seemed much friendlier other places. Tigger was friendlier the 2nd time we saw him so maybe it was just bad timing because the server told us it could take one hour to get back to us if we missed a character. Lori had questioned him because it seemed very controlled vs. Chef Mickeys, Garden Grill and Hollywood and Vine where the characters came around twice each and spent time with the Cassandra and Zachary. After more shopping it was back to the Poly to pack as we were leaving the next day.
