Just wanted to answer my own question I posted before we left, now that we're home and have first hand experience--for anyone else who might be wondering the same thing....

before we left I had posted a question about whether or not sushi was still allowed as a DDP appetizer choice. It definitely is--the only excepitions being snake in the grass and the deluxe one. I had the spicy sensation and it was out of this world. DH had the sampler and he loved his.

We'll be going back next year for our 12th anniversary and this will certainly be our choice for our anniversary!! We had an amazing server and a wonderful experience at the CG!! :goodvibes

We'll second that, the OP is correct. The menu is set up different than shown on here and allears. We ate there 11/5 and were pleasantly surprised.

Although they were out of fois gras when we were seated...:guilty:

Our server was so-so. She was very slow, and others who came after were served before us. We were actually seated early (about 8:40) for a 9:10 ADR. We watched the fireworks from the observation deck. Meal review later...

I had the spicy sensation as a dining plan appetizer over Labor Day weekend and now understand it had been either moved to the entree section or taken off the menu entirely. Same for the snake in the grass. I see the spicy one seems to be back now.

Yoshi's sampler and Snake in the Grass were on the menu in the appetizer section on 11/5, but were excluded from the DDP as appetizer. We could have paid OOP for it if we chose... :thumbsup2

You read my mind! I just posted about this today. Thanks for coming back and answering your own question. Our trip is still over a month away but I can't wait (not just for the sushi ;) ).

Also, we were given a seperate menu for dessert. (seperate as in not on the first course/entree menu...not seperate as in different for DDP).

The cheese platter was listed there and they allowed it for dessert for my husband using DDP. It was outstanding.
