We enjoyed using these with our DDP. We did other counter services but here are our table meals.

Liberty Square tavern: Underrated. The BEST pot roast and entree salad ever. Also, my dh went nuts over the desserts. We try to order diff things and all are great. Susan was the best server ever. Good for her!

Hol and Vine: Meat not good, tough. But other things were just fine. The waitress really worked hard.

Flying Fish: 2 meal credits so we did it without kids for a quiet dinner. I had the snapper and it was awesome. DH had the best clam chowder in the world and his steak was great. But you DO NOT need appetizers! The main meal is huge. Plus your dessert is always included in DDP.

BOMA at AK lodge: Great buffet. Very high quality for a buffet. Vegetarian son was happyt too. Beautiful place to visit. A real hassle to get to from Boardwalk and back again in late evening. So we cancelled our Ohana for that reason and went to Spoodles instead (Good decision!)

Tusker House: Just fine but another buffet in the grand scheme of things. Servers seem run off their feet and not very happy when we were there. Something was up.

Spoodles. Wow. Oh wow. Great meal. Son's pasta was rigatonii which was wonderful and one of the best meals we saw all week. My Tuscan chicken was great and dh had steak kabobs which were okay. We liked this place a lot and went back for breakfast which was gigantic. Our teens could NOT finish their plates. A first. Great work!

Forgot to add we also went to many counter services and Pizza Planet individual pizzas are so big, you can share one with two medium size eaters. Comes with salad on DDP and dessert and drink.

You know I'm thinking we have to try LTT!

Gosh, sounds delicious. I just added LTT after seein' someone's pictures of that pot roast.

Can you explain what you mean about it being a hassle going to BOMA and back to BWV?
I've got a BOMA ADR 'n stayin' at BWV, hadn't thought about how to get there yet.

As with PP, no matter the hassle Boma is that good, do not cancel. Typically the best way to get to AKL is to either take your resort bus to AK then take a bus to AKL, a 5 min ride. The other way is to take a bus to DTD or any park then take an AKL resort bus. Buses generally leave DTD as late at 2am. I rode buses from there aroud 1am last weekend.

Well, a hassle means that it took an hour to get back to BW. We were waiting for either a AK or DTD bus and DTD came first.
But I agree that it was worth it for Boma. We should have taken a cab but we didn't realize you can fit 5 in a cab there. We thought it was only 4. Once we got to BW it was plastered on side of cab "fits 5". Ha!

Oh, it takes a lot for something to get in between me and food. :lmao:

Thanks for the info, I'm staying at BWV in May, got my plan of attack, I mean action set for BOMA. ;)
