Ok so I've been asked by some of you to make a trip report about our Disney Wedding on the Wonder so here you go:
We left New York on August 23rd and arrived at Saratoga Springs Resort at about 1 PM, we spent the day at the Magic Kingdom although it was pouring and then did dinner in Downtown Disney at Captain Jacks, we were told that our bus would be leaving on the 24th for Cape Canaveral at about 12, well it didn't leave until about 1:30 in the afternoon. Our Civil Ceremony was scheduled for 3 PM so we wound up getting to the port at about 2:30, we had concierge check in and they rushed us through everything so that we could get to our room to put our bags down before the civil ceremony was supposed to begin, we didn't even have time to eat at the welcome buffet so we were starving.
We go down to the Lobby on Deck 3 to wait for our wedding coordinator Rafaro (who was absolutly amazing) She got there at about 3 PM with the person who officiated the Civil Ceremony.. They take us and our whole group to the Disney Theatre and the Civil Ceremony begins, we didn't realize we were going to have to do our vows and everything during the Civil Ceremony so it was quite funny cause I was laughing and John was cracking jokes and so that is how the Civil Ceremony went.
Then Rafaro asked me and john to come with her to discuss the wedding for the following day. We went over the music, flowers & they told us to leave my dress & his tux on the bed to be steamed that night and asked us what rooms we would like them to be delivered to since John didn't want to see me the night before I had to crash in someone elses room.
Now after this meeting we still hadn't eaten and we were starving so we went on the hunt for food and wound up having to eat at Pluto's by the pool cause it was the only thing available at the time. We then went back to our rooms to get ready for the Drill. After that we went up to the pool to hang out for a while and then I went searching for the Vista Spa which was right by the pool where we were hanging out lol. I made a consultation for 9:30 that night to discuss how I wanted my hair done and then went back to the room to shower and get ready for dinner.
we had the late seating for dinner so at 9:30 we were still eating so me and two other people had to run up to the spa quickly to do our consultations which took all of 5 minutes if even then we went back to dinner after dinner John and I parted ways and me and the girls went to go find a bar to drink in and the guys went to find a different place. We went to bed about 1 AM being I had to get up at about 6:45 to be showered and ready to go get my hair done by 7:45. I get upstairs to the spa and they start working on my hair which I have to say came out amazing and it only cost me $55. By the time I get down stairs to my aunts room its already 9AM and the ceremony is supposed to start at 10 AM. I wait for my friend to come to do my make up she gets there and finishes my make up by 9:30, she then goes to get dressed and my other friend who was supposed to help me get dressed never came so my aunt and my mother had to help me get dressed and put on my garter. Both of my friends and my flower girl showed up at about 9:58 and the guy came to get us from the room at like 10:05, We go up to deck 7 (I fell going up the steps tripped over my dress) they start as soon as we get up there cause it was literally about to rain I didn't hear any of the music but i was told that it was being played lol all I did was focus on john I didn't even look around. The ceremony started and ended with in 10 minutes if even it was short and sweet.
We then move into Sessions for the cake, champagne and dances but not before stopping in the atrium for lots of pictures, our families were getting on our nerves cause they were getting in the way of the photographer cause they wanted to take the same pictures he was taking so we were getting annoyed cause we were paying him to take as many pictures as possible and they were making that impossible.
The we get to sessions they make me and john wait until everyone else is inside and then they introduce us. We go in and we go to start the cake cutting the cake turned out beautiful. The we do the dances and then tell everyone they can go and that me and john were going to go take pictures on the beach with the photographer. The pictures on the beach were nice the sun made us squint a little but its a price you have to pay for great scenery.
After the pictures we go back to the boat and change to get ready to go snorkeling at the adult beach. We hangout at the beach until about 4PM and then go back to the cruise to shower and get dressed to go to the show at 6:15. We go to the show which was good it was a comedian and then we go to dinner. Earlier in the day we had a leak in our room that was supposed to be fixed yet it wasn't so they wound up having to change our room they had given us Strawberries & Champagne in our original room, but when we got to the new room we were given more Strawberries & an upgraded bottle of Champagne they also put rose petals all over the bed and made two swans kissing on the bed out of the towels. We then went to go look at the pictures and were told that we could only have 75 pictures on the cd meanwhile we were originally told that we could have all of them so we went to guest services to talk to them about it and they were able to get us all the pictures on the CD!!! Then we went to the club for some Karoke fun.
Tuesday we went to Nassau which we went to the straw market which it was just too hot to deal with so we went to some other stores and then went back to the boat and hung out by the pool until about 5 so that we could shower and change and get ready for the Toy Story Musical Show and Palo's that night. They wound up telling us that day that they would be changing our room for the duration of the cruise cause of the leaky ceiling. The Show was ok, Palo's was amazing we then met up with eveyrone else in our group and had some drinks.
Wed we were back at Castaway Cay and went Jet Skiing and Snorkeling (we wanted to find the hidden Minnie) we spent the whole day on the beach and then went back to the boat for our last show which was Disney Dreams this show was absolutely amazing the best show on the boat by far, then we went up to change and then went down to the dining room to give our servers there tips because we had a massage scheduled for 9 and didn't think we would have enough time to eat. The massage was great and needed after all the stress.
Thursday morning we woke up went to breakfast and then it was time to get off the boat and go back to Saratoga Springs till Saturday, We spent Thursday - Saturday going to the parks, and in Downtown Disney.
Overall we had a great time we had some snafu's along the way but the Cruise Line went above and beyond to try to make things right. Here is a link to our pictures:
