Day 5- Thursday
Up at at em' early today was EE at MK. Lines very long when we got there for security checks and entry into gates. Made it to main street by 8:15am though. We had our picture taken together as a family with the castle in the background. It came out nice. We headed to Tomorrowland for Buzz Lightyear ride. They got in line and I went to get a fastpass so we could go again because this is my DS favorite character. Only when we were entering at the turnstiles my daughters ticket did not go through but the CM there let her in as my husband entered with the stroller. I told him that I thought her ticket did not go through and he said it was no problem just to go on ahead. Well, when I tried to get a fastpass on her ticket I came out invalid ticket for a fasspass. So I had to go find a CM to come help and in my frenzy I left one of our tickets on top of the fasspass machine. Luckily a nice man came to bring it to the CM that was helping me and I got it back. SO... Long story short- don't leave your ticket on top of the machine and make sure your ticket goes through the turnstile thingie. So on to Buzz. My son loved it and was mesmorized by the talking, moving Buzz inside when you are close to entering the ride. Then when we exited there was a real Buzz taking pictures with kids so we got in line. DS pushed his buttons and Buzz started moving funny and dancing. Then he kissed him. Got some good pictures. On to Space Mount. which already had a 30 min wait. It seemed quicker than that. The speedway was next, again 30 min. wait. Kids loved it- my 7yr. old drove me. I think I'm still sick!! LOL We went to the teacups next- 20 min. wait then on to Mickey's Philharmagic- loved it AGAIN. Then it was time for our BUzz fasspass and Bro. skipped this ride and hiked over to get us a Splash fasspass. Went on BUZZ then TTA and waited in the line for Astro Orbiter. There was no posted wait but it seemed long- at least 40 min. Kids enjoyed it. Others got some lunch then we headed to BTMRR with a 45 min wait. I have to give it to Disney - when they say 45 min on the sign- it's 45 min. cuz I timed it. So we liked it and then we to HM- 30 min wait and back to use Splash FP. Took the train to main street and sat for the parade at 3pm. Got a very good spot on the curb and we liked it. Then we left the park via the monorail to go to the GF for afternoon tea in the Garden room. I've been to tea before and I didn't care for this one. The sandwiches were so/so and the tea was not all that. Our waiter was Dennis and he kept speaking to us in a condecending manner. For instance, my daughter wanted the Mrs. Potts off of the menu which is sandwiches and choc. milk but she wanted tea instead. She is used to drinking tea for we have this often in the winter on cold days. He just laughed and said our tea is 185 degrees ta ta ta.............etc...etc..... I said - she's used to drinking it. So finally he came and then he kept making comment because I didn't eat my sandwiches as quick as the others. Anyhow, this was something my mom wanted to do and we did it and that's that. I don't think we'll be doing it again. While we were here it started pouring and lightening real bad. We got stuck here for 2-3 hours. Just walked around the resort- very pretty but too posh for me. We finally tried to get back to MK and upon entering security told us that another storm was expected in 1-2 hours. We went straight to Minnie and Mickey's house because that's what my daughter wanted to do most. Then we got out of there. Back to the resort for a good night's sleep.
Day 6 Friday
EE at AK today- got FP for KS and went to ITTBAB show. Back to KS for FP then to TFOTLK show. All very good. Then we took some pictures with the characters at Camp Minnie Mickey. Kids enjoyed that. Bro. went to get us a FP for Kali river rapids while we did the char. thing. Got some lunch at the Pizza place and over to do sb for Dinosaur - my daughtr skipped this one and I'm glad she did- I didn't remember it being this scary. I went get us a FP for Primevil Whirl. Went use FP for Kali. We did baby swap and my daughter rode twice. She was all ready to get soaked in her bathing suit and water shoes and she got the least wet!! We had fun though. Saw the makings of the new roller coaster in the new land that's going to open in 2006 on our way back to Tarzan Rocks. Went to Dinoland and did the triceratops spin and primevil whirl. PW is very jerky. It was good to say I rode it once but I will skip that one next time. The the kids played in the boneyard a while and we went sit for the parade and headed out of the park afterwards (with everyone else). Went to MK this night and saw Spectro and Wishes. A lady tried to sit right in front of my son and we had been there since 7pm!! She got up to get something and I sat right in her spot and moved my son over a little so he could have a front row seat again and she starts saying - no,no me sit there - and the other man in the family tapped me on the shoulder and said no, no, she sit there. I don't know where they were from but..... I said NO NO ME BEEN HERE FOR 2 HOURS!! ME SIT HERE!!!! To think she would have sat right in front of a child - a poor defensless 19th month old. Good thing his Mommy was there. I absoutely hate confrontations with people like that- they try to get away with doing the wrong thing. Good thing my brother wasn't there he would have told her right where to go. Anyhow my DS liked to jump out of his stroller for Spectro he loved it so much. The fireworks were great too. Only damper of this night was that rude lady and the 30 min. wait for our bus ride back to POP.
Day 7 Saturday-
Lazy morning and then headed to BB again because this was DD favorite water park. Had a good morning and went back to the room about 2pm. MOM had been shopping at DD and bought little gifts for my whole family. She was placing them out on our pillows as we arrived and we spoiled her fun.
I had the best piece of peanut butter fudge from Goofy's candy, myDH had chocolate. My son had Buzz PJ's and my DD had fizzy balls and Princess money chocolates. We all bathed and headed to MGM to try and see Fantasmic on our last night. We sat for the S and MC parade and it drizzled a little on us during this. We went to WWTBAM next and it poured while we were in there. My son was in my lap and dd in the chair next to me. We got put on the big screen- the three of us. I took my son's hand and started waving it and the host got a kick out of that. He said- why is it always the parents that make the kids wave??? LOL It was still raining so we did this again. I enjoyed it- my first time in 5 trips to do this attraction. Then we grabbed a bite to eat at ABC commisary and headed over for Fantasmic. Despite the drizzle it still went on. My DS loved it and DD likes when "Mickey shoots the fireworks out of his fingers." Shopped on our way out and headed back to resort- a little blue for this is our last night.
Day 8 Sunday
Up and packed and out for 10:30. Went to DD for shopping, lunch at Capn' Jacks. I enjoyed my meal of Crab Patty melt. DH had the Shrimp ceasar salad enjoyed it but could have eaten more. MOM had the Portabello mushroom sandwich and she said it was cold. We rented the mouse boats afterwards. A nice CM gave us 50 min instead of the 30 we paid for because we had to wait about 5 min. for some more boats to come in. Enjoyed this- DS and DD fell asleep so DH and I just drove around and took in the sights. Went for more of that great PB fudge at Goffy's candy and then headed back about 2:30 and left for our 10 hour drive home. Made it home very tired about midnight.
Final Thoughts: this was our first trip in June- we usually go in Oct. but I was not taking DD out of school for vacation. I found it very crowded but manageable. We still got alot done. The afternoon storms were bad and cancelled alot of the nightime fun but we still got to see each show once. I would have liked to take DS and DD to see Spectro again. Enjoyed the resort and would stay here again. Thanks for reading my very first trip report ever. Sorry so long. Any questions- just ask.
