Cast:
Me- planner, 29 year old school teacher
DH- a big kid at heart, wants to have fun- but I do the planning
DD5- been to WDW 4 times- poor kid!- a true princess who loves Tink
DD3- been to WDW 3 times-another poor kid!- our little wild man Buzz!
My mom and dad and older brother- all there to have fun and enjoy the magic!
Sunday, Dec. 5- dinner at POFQ- DH and I had pizza- pretty good for a food court, children had chicken strips- they ate them so that was a success!
Monday, Dec. 6
CRT breakfast- well, the beloved breakfast with the princesses- DD5 is convinced Cinderella invited us. Food was OK- certainly nothing spectacular!
DH loves the stuffed french toast- I don't like the blueberries (?) on top of it. The sausage was cooked weird for us- we are southerners and it looked boiled? Anyway, we don't go here for the food. We saw Cindy, Belle, Wendy, Mary Poppins, and Aurora in pink- which made DD5 very happy that she had on her pink dress! We've done this meal 3 times now and the princesses seemed more rushed than in years past- I was a little disappointed but DD was happy and that is why we do this meal. We will return b/c DD loves it- and eating in the castle is neat.
LTT dinner- This is a new one for us. We liked it OK. The food was good- just not enough dressing. Our waiter barely spoke English- which put a damper on the experience. We thought he kept asking if we wanted more food- we didn't- but finally figured out he was saying 'fluids'. It was difficult getting seconds of anything b/c of this. Anyway, the food was good- just not a large variety. Character interaction was better here than at CRT. We saw Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. We enjoyed it and will probably return.
Tuesday, Dec. 7
Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot- another new one for us. We did this one in hopes of seeing Jasmine- and we did. Again, the food was nothing spectacular- though there seemed to be more of a variety than at CRT. The princesses here were actually running between the tables! We saw Jasmine, Belle, Aurora in pink, Snow White, and Mulan. Also, the Snow White we had did not even come close to looking like Snow White! She was the worst looking princess we have ever seen at WDW! Anyway, we did it for DD5 and she was happy to see Jasmine and Mulan (we had never seen her). We may or may not do this one again- depending on DD's desires when we return. If not for Jasmine, we will not return. We were very disappointed in the food and princesses!
Crystal Palace- an old favorite for us. We love the variety and quality of food here! The turkey was great, lots of variety, good kids selections, and good desserts! Of course, Pooh and friends are great too! Good meal and good character interaction.
Wednesday, 12/7
Breakfast at the food court- beignets, need I say more? Very, very good
Hollywood and Vine fantasmic package- we really like this place. Each time we go it is one of the best meals. The variety of food is huge and we have always found it to be very good! Will definitely return to this next trip.
Thursday, 12/8
Chef Mickey's breakfast- a first for us again- always wanted to try it. Loved it!!! THe food was wonderful and so much variety! The characters were Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. Character interaction was good- average character meal interaction. This was probably the best meal of the week food wise!!! The french toast was wonderful and the kids ate so much too! Kids had muffins, cereal, pancakes, etc. Lots of fruit stuff, pancakes and french toast, doughnuts, etc. etc. etc. Great meal!!!
Crystal Palace before MVMCP- again- good food and good characters!
Friday, 12/9
lunch at Cosmic Rays- cheeseburgers, fries, chicken strips- pretty good food- not as good as we had remembered the year before, but it is counter service. It served the purpose and was pretty good.
Dinner in the food court again- and again good- I love POFQ!
Well, that's about it. As you can tell, we like character meals. Good trip and overall good food.
