We are foodies. We cook a lot at home together and enjoy it. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the food at Disney. Here is where we ate, why, and our likes/dislikes.

No flaming please, this is just OUR experience. Please don't change/make reservations based on one person's experience :thumbsup2

Planet Hollywood - had never been and really liked it. I had the crab cakes and they were yummy. The kids loved the decor, the waitress was pretty grumpy... but really helpful :cool1:

Princess Storybook Dinner - we all ordered 4 different meals and hated them. Even my german honey who eats anything. But the dinner is about meeting the princesses right?? But OH MY GOODNESS we adored the appetizer bar. It SO made up for the crummy food. The price OOP was ridiculous but this time we were on the dining plan so it was ok ;) We hardly ate our meals but we lived at the appetizer bar. They had a cold herring salad that was to DIE FOR. Seriously amazing :lovestruc

Tusker House Breakfast - easily the coolest and my favorite meal of the entire trip. The food selection at the buffet was stunning and brilliant. The characters visited us 3 times. The food was AMAZING. I wanted to go back. A few times. This one I would absolutely pay out of pocket for if I wasn't on the dining plan. Our waiter was great. The other staff were helpful and polite and nice.

Lilo and Stitch breakfast - the characters were awesome! Lilo hung out with me because my daughters told her that she was my favorite. The breakfast bread with stunning. The rest of the family style served meal was just plain old breakfast but quite good. Nothing near the crazy amazingness of Tusker House... but decent :thumbsup2

Hoop De Doo - WE LOVED IT. Seriously great food, and the dinner show was AWESOME. We are going back for sure! The show was so funny, and the show members got everyone involved. The sangria (my first time!) was great, the beer was flowing, and I think my daughter got 7 refills of her chocolate milk (this was first full day there - so we were constantly dehydrated from the heat!) The cornbread was amazing (and we make our own at home - we're cornbread snobs) and the whole meal was great from presentation to all of it from start to finish :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

My overall favorite food at Disney - get this - quick service dining at Disney Quest. I shared a GIANT grilled chicken BLT with my 12 year old, and we couldn't finish the huge chocolate&peanut butter cupcake that came with it. AMAZING food, and at Disney Quest of all places!! :upsidedow

Raglan Road - I went there with my honey on our grownup night out and we really didn't like it. At all. My man did find a strange liking to the black pudding. We had the Mighty Mixed Grill. The dancing and entertainment was quite good but didn't last very long. The deserts made up for the food - my man adored the bread pudding, and I had a raspberry desert (not listed on the allears menu and of course I forget the name of it!) that SHOCKED me at how great it was. O.M.G. If anyone knows that name of it, please please tell me!

Biergarten - amazing food and atmosphere. The food was great. Seriously awesome selection and we really enjoyed it. However, we were shocked that the big show that went with it was only 12 minutes long. We were there for the 8:05 show and it kind of let me down.

We stayed at All Star Music and in the food court we had a great taco salad that made us realize that next time we aren't going on the dining plan. Hopping to Epcot from Magic Kingdom just to eat isn't worth it, and the time to get in, eat, pay, leave isn't worth the lost park time to us. It was a fun run though, and we got to try some of the neat Disney restaurants :wizard: Plus most of the time if it was counter service, we shared because at the table service we just didn't finish our meals! And we were stuffed and had credits left over at the end that we ended up trading in for Mickey riceheads to bring home

Not nearly enough snacks for hot kids on the DP though - the kids mainly wanted drinks and ice cream and drinks - so we burned through our snack credits in 4 days out of 10 :rotfl:

Thanks for the reviews, but I'm confused by you being disappointed with Disney food but the majority of your reviews are good...lol :).

I am excited about your Tusker house review!!
