This was our “secret getaway” at Caribbean Beach Resort. We had never stayed here before, and are very glad that we decided to try it. When I walked into the room, I was admiring the framed picture on the wall. I must still have been really relaxed from the cruise because it took me a few minutes to realize that it was a picture of a Disney Cruise Line ship at Castaway Cay!
BEST—The size and condition of our room. The rooms are a little larger than at the other moderates, and our room was ready when we arrived (at 10:30 AM), in terrific shape and kept perfectly clean the entire time we were there.
WORST—The food court. And it wasn’t bad, it just was our least favorite part of this trip. The selections seemed a bit limited, and the service seemed a little slow. We ate lunch there once, and breakfast each day. We did buy the refillable mugs so that we could indulge in our tea and soda habit.
We will definitely return to Caribbean Beach Resort some day.
PART VIII—FINAL COMMENTS
This was the greatest of all of our Disney vacations. Maybe because of the weather, maybe because it was like a second honeymoon for us and we didn’t do any running around, but instead relaxed and took everything at a slow pace. I’m writing this final part of the report just a month after our return to the real world. As I write this, I’m starting to plan our next two trips. We will be at the Flower & Garden Show at Epcot sometime this spring, and then hopefully taking a seven night cruise late in the fall.
