Hi Sara! I finally made it over here!
Great intro! It's so great that your dog likes to go to doggie camp-makes it much easier to leave them!

Can't wait to read more.:goodvibes

ill try to keep up but im bad at remembering to check trip reports! :P

I'm joining in. I love reading about the trips to the GF, plus I have really enjoyed your other TR/PTRs.

I love the pictures of Jeter!
DH and I aren't huge baseball fans and don't really have a favorite baseball team, but since we are from CT Yankees are pretty big around here. For some reason (I think her kindergarten teacher was a fan) DD is now obsessed with the Yankees. She just got the baseball hat and wants a sticker for the car. I can see her wanting a Yankees room just like your house has.

Can't wait to hear all about your trip.

Welcome!
Maybe we were at the same park on the same day? That would've been cool
Thanks(:

Wow, 30 days until you go to WDW? How awesome!

Haha, that's too cute/funny about your DD :cutie:
My algebra teacher last year was a big baseball fan... but he likes the Red Sox, so he doesn't count :p

Great start!! As a NYer/Yankee fan, I thoroughly appreciate the name of your dog!

July 6th

I woke up at around 6, due to excitement... I just couldn't stay asleep any longer! I stayed in bed for a few minutes, before everyone else started getting up.

Soon, the TV was on, and we were all getting ready. The boys all headed down to breakfast first, because they wanted to check out the work room before. What boys.

My mom and I waited a few minutes, still getting ready, before going to the first floor for the included breakfast. We gobbled it right up, soo excited for today!

We brough down all of our luggage, packed up the car, and were on the road to Disney at 8:37am!

It takes about 2 1/2-3 hours to get to Disney from where we were in Jacksonville.

When we passed the Walt Disney World sign, it was about 11:20 (our check in time for the GF was 11)
I got pictures of the signs this time! (I was actually awake!)

Before we knew it, it was 11:30 and we were here!

A man came over to our car, opened up all ov our car doors (fancy- huh?) and we got out. He helped my dad unload the luggage while my mom, brothers, and I went to check-in. While she was checking in, I was enjoying the lobby;

My mom called us over to get our "I'm Celebrating" Pins and to sign our names on our room keys.

We walked away from the lady at the check-in desk, and my mom told us we were in Sago Cay, 3rd floor, room #5328. Great! We had gotten the building we wanted, AND our room was ready!

We waited in the lobby for a few minutes for my dad, who was still outside with the guys who unload your car.

Soon, my dad returned and told us that *REMEMBER THIS! Because, if he hadn't done the following, out Magic wouldn't have happened* he had gotten the bellservice people to load up our stuff and take it to the room.

The guy, Jerry, (I remembered his name. That means he's important!) was bringing out stuff to our room, and he told us he would take us there too. So, he told us to wait while he went to go get his golf cart trolley thingy.

I took some pics while waiting

Quick story on the construction stuff- Jerry told us they were there painting the wood. Now, the wood didn't look like it needed to be painted, or that it was rotting or whatever. He told us that they paint the wood (which there is A LOT of and probably took them FOREVER to paint) is to do it BEFORE the wood starts to rot, or the paint peels off, or something. Isn't Disney prepared? And they're so advanced. Nice job, Disney.

So, a few minutes later, Jerry came back with his big golf cart thing, and we all got inside. Within minutes, he was giving us our own tour of the place. I wish I could remember better of what he said. I do remember him telling us that the tile in the GF main building was very new. And the old tile was moved into the buildings. The other thing I remember him telling us, is that the carpet in the hallways of the buildings had padding one or more inches thick underneath the carpet. Wow, impressive. Probably why it was so squishy!

Jerry walks us to our room, and lets us in. He told us would be right back with our stuff.

I took this opportunity to take pictures of the room, while there was no stuff in it, and while everyone else was out looking at the view

And our view.

(^The huge tree and the right)

I bet you're all thinking. "What is that? Where is the castle, I watched the fireworks from the live feed!" Yeah. I'm about to get to that part!

So, Jerry comes back and goes straight to the balcony to talk to my parents about the view.

IMG_6789.jpg

(Haha, you can see the tree too)

Jerry told them "Well, this is the quiet side of the building and of the whole Floridian. It's nice to see the monorail, but there is a tree right infront of you guys. How do you guys like it? Mom- I think you're not too in love with it." You could kind of tell my dad wasn't the most thrilled person with the view... and my mom said she was fine and good with it, but that Jerry guy was a good sensor... he sensed something alright!

He told my mom, just to tell him what she didn't like about the room. And she told him (remember, she doesn't complain to strangers, haha, this was pretty new to her) she didn't like the tree. or the convention center (which you could see a lot of). Jerry looked over to the convention center and saw a worker talking on his cell phone. He was flabbergasted (I got that word off of Pinky Dinky Doo! It's a very informational show, you know) that the guy was talking on his cell phone, and proceeded to say he was sorry about that! My parents talked to him some more, and eventually, Jerry told them that he just needed to call his friend (Nate? Nick? I think is was something like that) down at the front desk. He talked to his friend for a few minutes, and then he told us "Great news, I got you guys a new room!" I was pretty surprised by that.

So, he took us to the elevator, and we got off at the first floor. This surprised me more because I just thought he got us a new room IN the same building. Boy, was I mistaken. He asked us if we wanted a ride to the new building. We told him no, because we didn't want him to have to unload the luggage off of the pushy thing it was on now. So we just walked over to the new building. Which was... Boca Chicka!

He brought us up to our room, and told us we were going to need new room keys, and that they would be ready for us at the fornt desk when we left to go to the park we were going to that day.

He let us in the room, and we were AMAZED by the view.
From left to right (minus the tree to our right and the Poly all the way to our right);

Wait. What just happened?
In case you're in shock like I was..
Let me put it in simple words;
We got upgraded to a Magic Kingdom view for FREE.

I think that had to be one of the BEST experiences in my life. And it was all because my dad had decided to get our luggage brought to our room by Jerry, the best bellhop guy in the world.

*I didn't take any pics of the inside of this room, mainly because, it was EXACTLY the same as the old one, which I had already taken pictures of*

Claw was SOO happy

8307- our room number!

Jerry unloaded our stuff, while talking up a storm, said goodbyes, we thanked him so much, and he left. He left with a big tip that is (haha)

I'll stop here

Up Next: Magic Kingdom time!
