Can't wait to read more! Gotta bring the laptop to WDW (unfortunately, my professors don't QUITE share in my love of all things Disney) so I won't be behind when I get home!

OK, I've been reading your Pre-TR and your TR and I am SO HOOKED. It is SOOOOO bad that this afternoon I was planning on going to DL for the evening to watch the fireworks with the boys and was "almost" tempted to stay home because I heard a new intallment was coming out. But alas I just read the reat of what was there and took the boys off to Anaheim. Sorry, your TR has GREAT appeal, but the fireworks won this round.

NEED.............MORE.............UtahMama.................TR................can't..............survive.............. please....................give more.





Edit: Hmmmm what's this about the Wally World misty fans being poo. IS it better to buy the ones at WDW? Conflicting information, what shall I do? Any suggestions?

Fenfur- the Walmart misty fans are just fine! As long as you dont TOUCH them in any way!

The back battery "door" is made of the utmost cheap plastic. Flimsy would be complementary. They dont SEEM to be cheap when you see them in the store. I had gotten 3. Two of the three were literally broken before we got home...
I bought batteries for them and let them "try them out" and one's foam fan popped off and wouldnt pop back on and the other's battery door fell off and was broken. The 3rd fan only didnt break because it was in the trunk, or it would have, I assure you!

Now, the ones in the park, If you buy one, you get one half price. So 2 are 24 or 25 dollars....but they replace them for the LEAST little thing wrong with them. Like, one time the straw that pumps water up the fan to be misted came un-done and I asked another CM (they're sold every 20 feet in WDW!so you're never un-misted for long) how you fix it and she handed me a new ice cold fresh one, THANKS! And one's battery only lasted a couple hours, and she replaced it...because the battery lasts pretty long. Even if your 2 year old leaves the fan ON and you go ride rides, hypothetically!


So....I am a thrifty gal and hate to spend money on something I can get at Walmart or Target at a fraction of the price (like Legos, or the new "the Wild" DVD) but the Misty fans are a god-send in September so do the Disney Math!
The money you "SAVE" by not going in the late fall or winter....(when it's nicer weather) a teeny fraction can be spend on getting never ending, ice cold, endless battery-life OFFICIAL (and durable!) Misty Fans!!!!!

The $4.98 (I think) X3 spent on the Walmart misty fans is toliet paper!

Use THAT money to buy some Dole Whips, Mickey Bars, Funnel Cakes, or Frozen LemonAde...for your whole family! (OR, like me, just for yourself when your family is on Buzz Lightyear- again!)

P.S. When I returned my fans to Walmart, the CM, ooops!, the customer service employee, said, "Great! More returned fans!" and said they are VERY often returned.

P.P.S. BUT obviously some people must like them because they are mentioned alot on the DIS boards!


P3.S.- George is real but I cant prove it! Call the Ghost Whisperer! Either that or it's a HUGE co-incidence that your boat just breaks down. It's FUNNER if you BELIEVE!!!!!!!! Don't Over-analize.

Yep, it's a magic "10 mile'ish" range, when about that time of a evening you hear this weird noise.... until you realize what it is


Yeah, the new show they did for the 50th is pretty good, if you watch it in the hub or on main street. After working there for a few summers (and always havng the night shift) you sort become immune to fireworks, they no longer become exciting. But the new show is really good if you can see the castle.

What!! I waited all day to check my computer (I was a good girl today and cleaned my house, painted at the church, worked on my online class, prepared my lesson for tomorrow, called all the people in my small group that meets at my house tomorrow - that is why I had to clean, and had company). Finally at midnight I sit down to find out if we get to hear what UMama ate for dinner and Oh No there is no update! Maybe ET, Princessv or Gmax posted something.
