:dance3
Feel Free to drop in and say hi
:

We took our first trip to Disney world in November 2011 and were there from the 17-19th but we only had a day and a half in the parks and we thought we would get to see everything in at least two parks. Well I think we all know that didn't happen :thumbsup2 This trip was our learning experience and when I feel in love with Disney.
Our next trip was March of this year and we went from a Monday to Friday. This time we saw a little more and had made ADR's.

So how did this trip come to be...

Well let's just say Jess knew a long time before the rest of us that we would be at the world 2 times in the same year! She had been planning this trip before her 15th birthday :rotfl: She's Been saving up for a while and will be paying for some of the extras she wants.
So on August 1st the day free dining was released dh and I were both at work and dd was here on the dis reading posts about being on hold for 6 hours and how fast rooms were filling up. So we decided not to wait I called dd and told her if she could get through online and book it do so and if not to call and book. Looking back at it now she must have booked our reservation just before the whole system crashed.
So as of August 1st we were staying at Caribbean Beach for 9 days 8nights with the free Disney dining plan and 8 day park hopper/water park fun and more tickets.

I went in January for my 16th birthday in the World! It's the perfect place to spend it at. Hope you all have a magical birthday trip! pixiedust:

Following along! How cool to have your daughters 16th birthday trip in WDW!!!! Awesome!

Since this trip is for Jess' sweet 16 this post is going to be all about the special birthday surprises. On her actual birthday we will be doing the wishes dessert party so we've decided to spread all the other birthday surprises over the span of our trip. So here is our plan:
Friday at check in she'll hopefully get the birthday button if not we'll get it at magic kingdom the next morning.
Saturday when we arrive back from magic kingdom this will be waiting for her:

(Picture is from the Disney florist website)

And this guy will also be there waiting:

(picture also from the Disney floral website)

Then on Tuesday We have a dinner reservation at Chef Mickey's and while we are there we will have these delivered:

(The picture on the left is from another diser who posted this on the cake chatter thread. If this is your picture please let me know and I will add your name here)
We are hoping to be able to get the Minnie in the colors on the right if not then it will look almost identical to the one on the left. Sorry its blurry I took a picture of my computer screen with my phone in order to post it.

These will also be delivered at some point during the meal:

I created this using the Disney florist website. The big Minnie balloon sings and the whole bouquet will be weighed down by a 22" Minnie plush!

Something else that's new that we will be doing on this trip is window decorating (our theme is Jess' Birthday). So I ran into party city this week and found these.

As well as some plates and napkins for the room

I also bought gel clings that say happy birthday to hang in the window
Thanks to everyone who has been following along!
.

Just an update of our countdown. I think we started this around 130 days. This was the first day we hung it up:

And now we are here:

Just 32 days left!

I know I haven't been on top of this PTR like I should but I seem to get caught up in the excitement (along with everything that has to be done before we leave). We are just 10 days away now and can officially say we are leaving next week! :cool1:
Since the last time I posted a lot has happened. To start BIL has decided to join us for the last 2 days of our trip (he lives in Florida) so we have been adjusting plans and ADR's accordingly.
We also have finalized all our ADR's and plans and are just wrapping everything up . We have received all our mickey mail and today our photopass+ package came.
Jess also got some very exciting news today. She found out that she will be getting her braces off on Tuesday. She is on cloud 9 right now because they kept telling her she would get them off around Christmas. However when we went today they said they would be able to squeeze her in on Tuesday :D
We've also ordered her birthday surprises mentioned in the above post. Minus the cake because we haven't decided if we are going to do that yet.

Hopefully I will be able to update this tomorrow or Thursday when I have some more time.

Thanks for sticking around if you're still reading!

I just wanted to stop in... I just started planning my girls' Sweet 16 trip... Yours sounds fantastic!

I love all of the decorations and balloons that you are ordering... I really need to get on top of a few ideas like that.

I hope you will do a TR once you get home - I would love to hear how all of your plans turned out!

D~

Well our trip has been fantastic. We are sitting at CBR right now and will take off at 8:55 to head home. I truly meant to update this before we left but never got the chance. I will most likely do a trip report sometime after we get back. Thanks for following along with me!

Hi everyone! I know I said I would likely write a trip report but obviously life has gotten in the way. I've also been spending most of my free time trying to figure out when we will be able to go back! :) So even though I don't think I'll ever do a full trip report for this trip I thought I would share the birthday surprises of the trip with you. The first birthday surprise we had planned was the Mickey and Pals Big Birthday Wish Package from the Disney Florist: After the first day in the parks we came back to this: For those who were wondering it came with: There was a surprise banner on the door A happy birthday banner on the mirror and a light up tinkerbell and a huge singing Mickey balloon Mickey Box-Personalized Birthday Mickey Ears -15' Mickey Mouse Plush -autograph book & pen -signed picture of mickey and Minnie -light up "it's my birthday" lanyard -small mickey magnetic plush Minnie Box-Small Minnie Magnetic plush -Minnie Hollow Chocolate cake Donald Box-Donald Cinch Bag -Donald caramel popcorn -Donald Beak whistle -Disney World beach towel -Small Donald magnetic Plush -(feathers on the floor) Pluto Box-Dog bone Shaped rice krispies -small pluto magnetic plush -pluto plush Goofy Box-Family size taffy -small goofy magnetic plush -photo album -small goofy magnetic plush and we had this delivered with it: (but it was actually delivered the next day because of a mix up) And this was the cake we decided on: (dd designed it based on another one she saw) And this was the balloon bouquet we had delivered to Chef Mickey's with the cake which was held down by a 15' mickey plush In the end it was a great trip and we can't wait to go back!
