OUR BEST DISNEY VACATION YET(8/22-9/1) At the BEACH CLUB w/ MORE pics-NOW COMPLETE

Hi!
I just read your TR from start to finish. I really enjoyed it, beautiful pics and family!
We'll be back in in the *world* in Aug '07. I noticed you didn't complain about the weather/crowds. Was it really that good? We were there this Sept. 13-18 during melting heat and empty parks and were wondering if Aug was hotter/more crowded?
Thanks!

Nope, no complaints here about either. I thought the crowds levels were the best of any trip we have been on before & we have been in March, October, November, & December.

October 2005, I took the kids out of school (3days) to go 10/1-10/10 so as to avoid the crowds. Well it was sooooo crowded. Everyone from the northeast had the same idea I did to take their kids out of school during the Jewish holidays & Columbus Day. Also it was fall break for some southern & western schools so they were there too. MNSSHP was crowded & EPCOT was as well due to the F&WF.

This year my oldest is in 5th grade & since we didn't avoid the crowds in 2005 I just figured we'd go in August. Well that worked out so much better. Lower crowds & I didn't take the kids out of school for it. From what I have been reading on the DIS September still seems to be less crowded than August as I have seen pictures of 0 minute waits, however those lovebugs scare me!

As far as the heat, no complaints but I & DH love the heat. When we came out of the resort our glasses fogged up & so did the camera. It was very hot but again we like the heat. You pretty much started sweating as soon as you went outside but we kept spritzing ourselves with the misterfan & drinking alot. Also took small breaks in the stores & inside attractions. I was actually nervous about the heat before we went but it was o.k....I did stop wearing makeup after the 3rd day..no point..it melted off! :teeth:

It was also nice that the kids could get soaking wet & in 10 minutes they would be dry again.

Thanks for a really enjoyable TR. Your family is beautiful and you should be very proud. :thumbsup2

Great report. I haven't read any reports in a while, so it was very refreshing to start off with a wonderful one.

Thanks for taking the time!

Loved your TR and still can't believe (alright, I'm jealous) about your concierge upgrade! Definitely get a digital camera, they are getting so cheap, and after having one for 5 years, I finally learned to use it this year, and I'm mad I didn't learn earlier. It is so much better than film, and superior quality!
Lucky you, already planned your 2007 trip!

Great job on your trip report...the Epot passport sounds like a wonderful thing for the kids to do!! Thanks for taking the time to share with us...it definately helps everyone out! :thumbsup2 :) :thumbsup2 :)

Reading your TR is making me more excited for our trip next month!!!

I absolutely love your trip report and know this is alittle off the subject but with all your pictures I bet your a pro! How DO YOU put the pictures there? I am dying to do a trip report but want pictures and have no clue how to get them there. I posted this on the technical site and only got one response that still does not make any sense to me. Thanks!

I just wanted to say I really enjoyed your TR. :thumbsup2 I would love to stay at the BC. It looks great and :wizard: lucky you - getting such an incredible upgrade.

Your family is adorable - beautiful children.

We were vacationing around the same time as you. I really regret not doing the MB EMH. Everything I have read about that has sounded wonderful. :confused3 I am not sure why we didn't?

Thanks again for sharing.

Oh, also wanted to say what a lovely family. You look great! :thumbsup2 I can't believe you ate all those desserts...I'd be as big as a HOUSE!! :sad2:

I am ashamed to admit that I am afraid of digitals!

I think I would delete stuff & not really know how to use it!!! But I guess it is the way of the world that we will all have one eventually as they faze out film cameras... :sad2:

You know, I have done so much planning all I kept reading was "do not go to EMH!" so I was nervous that it was going to be so crowded & not worth doing however it really went well. We went for 1 MB EMH & I wish we did 2.

Thanks!!!!

Loved the report... we were in the park when ernesto happened too...Talk about empty!! Yahoooo!

That was the only trip report I ever made it through to the end. I even cried on your last day--thanks for sharing. Your family is absolutely beautiful. We're going for our first family trip in two weeks--staying at BCV. I can't wait especially after seeing your photos. I also have a 7 yr. old son. Did yours use the stroller much?

Thank you very much..didn't want anyone to cry though!!!!

Wow, your first family trip! You must be excited! You picked the right place to have your first experience at Disneyworld..Hope you enjoy your vacation.

I bought two $20 umbrella strollers for my 7 & 5 year old. Both had a mesh basket behind the seat, good for water bottles & ponchos & a bonnet (not sure what you call it) for shade over the seat. I think they are Kolkraft. The strollers have a weight max of 40 lbs but my guys are both 50lbs & they have held up for 2 trips to Disney. Since my kids don't use strollers at home I didn't want to invest in a good stroller & certainly didn't want to rent a double for $18 a day! :sad2: But at Disney (for us) they are stil a must.

Thanks again, glad you liked the trip report! Have a great time!

What a wonderful trip report. I felt the magic throughout. You have such a beautiful family, thanks for sharing and taking the time to post. :goodvibes
