We just did the "Behind the Seeds" horticulture tour at Epcot's Land last week Thursday. I was able to make the reservations the day prior from the hotel's concierge desk and also get a disount on the tickets using my Disney Visa card. The cost was very reasonable, can't find the receipt but I want to say $15. We met our tour at the desk near the entrance to Soarin' so it was very congested. Our tour group had approx. 12 guests with us. My son was the youngest guest at 11 years old and the oldest guest I would guess was in his 80s and in a wheel chair. The guide was pleasant and knowledgable. She was a college student from AZ. We learned so much in ech of the areas. It was hands on too -- each family or group was given a vial of about 6 lady bugs to release, we also fed the tilapia fish, did scratch and sniff on a cinnamon tree and were able to taste the cucumbers they grow. All totaled the tour lasted just over an hour. After the tour was over, we immediately got onto the Land boat ride to see it from the 'other' side! I'd highly recommend this tour!

Thank you for this report! I am thinking of our family doing this when we come in May...do you know what the minimum age is?

I don't know but I would guess if they could take a guest in a wheelchair, they could take a guest in a stroller too. I would think as long as your kids have the attention span to last through an hour long tour about plants, they'd be fine!

We did this tour last year and I found it very interesting. I really enjoyed it. We took our daughter who was 6 at the time. She got to release lady bugs and feed the fish. She also enjoyed the tour. I am glad that we did it. I definitely recommend it.

I would also add that the child would need to either be able to listen and follow directions or have a parent that is willing to be sure they stay where they are supposed to. Stepping in the areas of the plans can hurt them and we were told to be sure to stay on the paths.

We will be taking this tour on our upcoming visit! Thanks you for the report :))))

This sounds so cool! I know my friend who is into gardening talked about wanting to do this the next time we go.
